  • Curtis Lazar C | EDM

Oilers' Curtis Lazar: Tickles twine in overtime loss

Lazar scored a goal and added three hits in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Lazar has played in four of five contests since he returned from a stint on long-term injured reserve due to an undisclosed issue. The 31-year-old forward is up to six points, 28 shots on net, 96 hits and a minus-2 rating over 42 appearances this season. Lazar has been limited to fourth-line minutes when he plays, and that's unlikely to change late in the regular season.

  • Colton Dach C | EDM

Oilers' Colton Dach: Gets goal in overtime loss

Dach scored a goal on three shots and added five hits in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Dach was activated from long-term injured reserve Saturday but didn't play versus the Golden Knights. He checked in on the third line Tuesday and scored at 2:09 of the third period to give the Oilers a 5-4 lead. This was his first goal and second point in four appearances for the Oilers. The 23-year-old has 11 points, 55 shots on net, 200 hits, 47 PIM and a minus-16 rating over 57 appearances between Edmonton and Chicago this season. He'll likely close out the regular season in a bottom-six role, and it's not yet clear if Dach will retain his place in the lineup for the playoffs.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Scores in overtime loss

Nugent-Hopkins scored a goal on three shots and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

Nugent-Hopkins had been limited to two assists over his previous eight outings. The 32-year-old Nugent-Hopkins is up to 19 goals, 54 points, 125 shots on net and a minus-10 rating over 68 appearances this season. The 32-year-old has been pressed back into center duties in the absence of Leon Draisaitl (lower body), and that's likely where he'll stay to close out the regular season.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Two-point effort Tuesday

McDavid scored a power-play goal on four shots and added an assist in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime loss to the Mammoth.

McDavid saw a six-game point streak snapped in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Golden Knights. He bounced back in his contest, but his performance wasn't enough for the Oilers to hold off the Mammoth in what could be a first-round matchup in a couple of weeks. McDavid is at 44 goals, 128 points, 289 shots on net, a plus-14 rating, 38 PIM, 39 hits and 29 blocked shots through 78 appearances this season, well within striking range of earning 130-plus points for the third time in four years. He's also one power-play point away from 50, which is a mark he's reached just once previously in his career.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Mammoth's Logan Cooley: Riding five-game point streak

Cooley scored a goal on three shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Oilers.

Cooley's point streak is up to five games (six goals, three assists) after his second-period tally Tuesday. The 21-year-old center is up to 23 goals, 39 points, 95 shots on net, 51 hits, 26 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 49 appearances. While a lengthy lower-body injury cost him 28 games earlier in the season, Cooley has been strong when in the lineup, mainly in a second-line role with power-play time.

  • Mammoth's Alex Kerfoot: Picks up pair of points

Kerfoot scored a goal and added a shorthanded assist in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Oilers.

Kerfoot is poised for extra ice time late in the season as long as the Mammoth are missing Barrett Hayton (upper body) and Jack McBain (lower body). The Mammoth also opted for 11 forwards and seven defensemen in the lineup Tuesday, allowing Kerfoot to see 17:04 of ice time from a third-line role. The 31-year-old is a versatile and reliable forward who can move around the lineup with ease. He's been limited by injuries this season, picking up 12 points, 25 shots on net, 25 hits, 23 blocked shots, 23 PIM and a minus-1 rating over 29 appearances.

  • Mammoth's Nick Schmaltz: Achieves two milestones in OT win

Schmaltz scored two goals, including one while shorthanded, in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Oilers.

Schmaltz reached the 30-goal and 70-point milestones for the first time in his career with this performance. He's earned six goals and three assists over his last seven outings as he continues to benefit from the Mammoth's overall improvements as a team this year. In addition to his career-best offense, the 30-year-old has 188 shots on net, a plus-20 rating, 47 blocked shots, 26 PIM and 21 hits, all of which are also career highs, through 77 appearances.

  • Yakov Trenin C | MIN

Wild's Yakov Trenin: Posts helper in win

Trenin logged an assist and five hits in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Kraken.

Trenin has gone 16 games without a goal, earning four assists, 21 shots on net and 89 hits in that span. For the season, the 29-year-old has earned 22 points, 93 shots on net, 33 PIM, a plus-13 rating and a league-leading 395 hits over 78 appearances. The offense is just enough to make it worth rostering Trenin for his elite production in fantasy leagues that count hits.

  • Shane Pinto C | OTT

Senators' Shane Pinto: New career mark in goals

Pinto scored a short handed, empty-net goal Tuesday in a 6-2 win over the Lightning.

Pinto has three points, including two goals, in his last two games and three goals in his last four games. His goal Tuesday established a new career mark (22). Pinto's previous best came last season when he put up 21 goals and 16 assists. He's on a solid pace, but center is extremely deep, so you need to consider if you could find a fit for a pivot on a 50-plus point campaign.

  • Wild's Joel Eriksson Ek: Three-point effort in win

Eriksson Ek scored an empty-net goal on three shots, dished two assists, blocked two shots, added two PIM and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Kraken.

Eriksson Ek has a goal and five helpers over four games to begin April. The 29-year-old continues to look steady in a second-line role, though he hasn't logged a power-play point since March 8 versus the Avalanche. The center is up to 19 goals, 51 points, 188 shots on net, 105 hits, 33 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a plus-17 rating over 69 appearances. This is the third time in four years he's exceeded the 50-point mark.
