  • Rangers' Juuso Parssinen: Struggling to stick in lineup

Parssinen was scratched for the fifth game in a row in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Lightning.

Parssinen has failed to record a point over eight games with the Rangers, and he's been scratched 10 times. The lack of steady playing time doesn't help, and he's played less than 10 minutes of ice time in six of his eight appearances. Overall, the 24-year-old has 11 points, 26 shots on net, 81 hits, 25 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 45 appearances between the Rangers, Avalanche and Predators this season.

  • Rangers' Mika Zibanejad: Strikes on power play in loss

Zibanejad scored a power-play goal on four shots in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Lightning.

Zibanejad has three points (two power-play goals) over his last five contests. The 31-year-old's offense has turned shaky again late in the season after he was unable to sustain a promising February. He's at 17 goals, 35 helpers, 19 power-play points, 173 shots on net and a minus-22 rating through 77 appearances in a middle-six role.

  • Hurricanes' Jesperi Kotkaniemi: Facing one-week absence

Kotkaniemi (undisclosed) will be sidelined "for at least a week," according to head coach Rod Brind'Amour, per Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal on Tuesday.

Kotkaniemi figures to miss at least the Canes' next four games based on his timeline -- though it could certainly be longer. Even with the return of Jordan Staal (lower body), the absence of Kotkaniemi will likely force Jack Roslovic into the second-line center role.

  • Noah Philp C | CAR

Oilers' Noah Philp: Summoned from AHL

Philp was recalled from AHL Bakersfield on Tuesday.

Philp has two assists, 12 shots on goal, nine hits and five blocked shots in 12 NHL outings this season. Due to injuries, the Oilers played with 11 forwards and six defensemen in Monday's 3-2 loss to Anaheim. Philp's promotion to the roster as an emergency exception may not bode well for the availability of Connor McDavid (lower body), Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) and Trent Frederic (ankle) for Wednesday's matchup against the Blues.

  • Penguins' Blake Lizotte: Contending with LBI

Lizotte will not play Tuesday against the Blackhawks due to a lower-body injury, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.

Lizotte will miss his first game since Jan. 27. It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined for, but his next opportunity to suit up will be Friday in New Jersey. The 27-year-old has chipped in 11 goals and 20 points across 59 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Kraken's Ryan Winterton: Joining NHL club

Winterton was promoted from AHL Coachella Valley on Tuesday.

Winterton is far from a lock to get into the lineup versus Utah on Tuesday, more likely serving as an emergency depth option. In his nine appearances this year, the 21-year-old center has notched one assist, 14 hits and nine shots while averaging 10:35 of ice time. If he does play Tuesday, it will likely be in a bottom-six role without power-play minutes.

  • Penguins' Philip Tomasino: Dealing with concussion

Tomasino has been diagnosed with a concussion, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports Tuesday.

Tomasino will miss his second straight game against Chicago on Tuesday, and he could be out for the remainder of the season. Following Tuesday's contest, the Penguins have only three games left on the 2024-25 schedule. Tomasino could conclude the year with 10 goals, 21 points, 100 shots on net and 62 hits across 59 appearances between Pittsburgh and Nashville.

  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Suiting up against Isles

Marchessault (lower body) will be in the lineup for Tuesday's tilt against the Islanders, Emma Lingan of The Hockey News reports.

Marchessault returns following a four-game absence due to his lower-body injury. Prior to getting hurt, the veteran winger was mired in a 12-game goal drought during which he generated just three helpers -- though two of those were recorded with the man advantage. Marchessault figures to link up with one of the two power-play units in addition to filling a top-six role.

  • Nico Sturm C | MIN

Panthers' Nico Sturm: Will miss at least one more game

Sturm (upper body) won't play Tuesday versus Toronto, according to Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post.

Sturm will miss his fourth consecutive game Tuesday, but he is closing in on a return to game action -- Guy relayed that Sturm will be available for Thursday's game versus Detroit. Sturm has struggled offensively this season, especially of late, having recorded just one assist over 11 games prior to sustaining his upper-body injury.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Back in action Tuesday

Reinhart (rest) will suit up against the Maple Leafs on Tuesday, according to Luke Fox of Sportsnet.

Reinhart was given a rest day in the second half of Florida's back-to-back against Detroit on Sunday. The 2014 first-round selection will resume his usual role on the top line and on the No. 1 power-play unit against the Leafs. Reinhart is having another stellar campaign -- he's generated 37 goals and 78 points over 76 appearances.
