  • Predators' Jonathan Marchessault: Set to miss another game

Marchessault (lower body) wasn't on the ice for warmups ahead of Sunday's game against Montreal, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports, indicating that he'll be unavailable for the matchup.

Marchessault continues to deal with a lower-body injury and will be sidelined for a fourth consecutive game. He remains day-to-day, and his next chance to return will be Tuesday against the Islanders.

  • Kings' Alex Turcotte: Progressing in recovery

Turcotte (upper body) returned to the ice for practice Sunday, but he remains without a timetable to return to game action, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

While head coach Jim Hiller said that it was "progress" to see Turcotte on the ice for practice Sunday, Hiller said that he "won't expect him anytime soon." The Kings appear to be on track for a playoff berth, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the team exercise caution with Turcotte over the final week and a half of the regular season. However, if he's able to appear in at least some games before the postseason, it could help him regain his conditioning.

  • Penguins' Philip Tomasino: Won't play Sunday

Tomasino (upper body) won't be in the lineup against Chicago on Sunday, Michelle Crechiolo of the Penguins' official site reports.

Tomasino is still being evaluated and will miss at least one game after logging 7:09 of ice time in Saturday's 5-3 win over Dallas. Since being acquired from Nashville on Nov. 25, he has generated 10 goals, 20 points, 83 shots on net and 52 hits across 48 outings with Pittsburgh. After being recalled from AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Sunday, Joona Koppanen will probably replace Tomasino versus the Blackhawks.

  • Hockey Club's Nick Bjugstad: Scores empty-netter

Bjugstad scored an empty-net goal on four shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 4-1 win over the Jets.

Bjugstad's goal was his first since Jan. 14 versus the Canadiens. The 32-year-old has had trouble getting on the scoresheet from a fourth-line role lately, and he's also been scratched a few times. He's at six goals, 17 points, 105 shots on net 100 hits and a minus-6 rating across 61 appearances, well off the pace he set in a 22-goal, 45-point 2023-24 campaign.

  • Kings' Trevor Lewis: Fills empty net Saturday

Lewis scored an empty-net goal on three shots in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Oilers.

Lewis added a little extra insurance with a goal at 17:03 of the third period. This was his second goal and third point over the last eight contests, which isn't bad considering the 38-year-old is confined to a fourth-line role. The veteran has six tallies, 11 points, 48 shots on net, 93 hits and a minus-4 rating across 56 appearances this season.

  • Ducks' Trevor Zegras: Stays warm with goal

Zegras scored a goal in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Canucks.

Zegras has four goals and four assists over his last eight contests. The 24-year-old is in one of his best stretches in the last two years, which has helped to salvage the second half of his 2024-25 campaign. He's at 11 goals, 29 points, 93 shots on net, 42 hits and a minus-7 rating over 51 appearances. Zegras is playing on the third line, but his power-play role functionally boosts his production enough for fantasy managers to consider him a top-six forward.

  • Max Sasson C | VAN

Canucks' Max Sasson: Scores in return to big club

Sasson scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Ducks.

Sasson centered the fourth line and cashed in a third-period insurance tally, which went in unassisted. He spent just under a week in the AHL before returning to the big club to cover the absence of Nils Aman (undisclosed) in Saturday's contest. Sasson is up to three goals, seven points, 28 shots on net and a plus-4 rating through 25 contests as a rookie in 2024-25.

  • Canucks' Dakota Joshua: Finishes off first-period rally

Joshua scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Ducks.

Joshua has two goals and two assists over his last seven games. The winger scored at 14:10 of the first period, capping a run of five goals in 4:30 for the Canucks over the middle of the opening frame. Joshua has provided physicality as a depth forward this season with 12 points, 45 shots on net, 38 PIM and 180 hits over 51 outings.

  • Penguins' Blake Lizotte: Scores game-winner Saturday

Lizotte scored the game-winning goal on two shots and blocked three shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Stars.

Lizotte scored for the second time in four games, and it came at a clutch moment with 1:43 left in the third period. The 27-year-old forward's tally was his first game-winner and his 11th goal of the campaign. He's reached the 20-point mark while adding 50 shots on net, 60 hits and a minus-4 rating over 58 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Sam Reinhart C | FLA

Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Not playing Sunday

Reinhart (rest) won't be in the lineup against Detroit on Sunday, per Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site.

Reinhart and Sam Bennett (rest) will be replaced in Sunday's lineup by AHL call-ups Rasmus Asplund and Jesse Puljujarvi. Florida wants to give Reinhart and Bennett some "healing time" in the second half of a back-to-back set, but both forwards will probably return as early as Tuesday versus Toronto. Reinhart has compiled 37 goals, 78 points, 205 shots on net and 100 hits in 76 appearances this season.
