  • Colton Dach C | EDM

Blackhawks' Colton Dach: Timeline still unclear

Dach (elbow) won't play Friday versus the Capitals, per the NHL media site.

Dach's return timeline is unclear. He's set for his seventh straight absence, and it's unknown if he's practiced yet. Given how late in the season it is, the 22-year-old may not be able to return before the Blackhawks' season finale April 15 versus the Senators.

  • Jordan Staal C | CAR

    Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Unavailable Friday

Staal (lower body) won't play Friday versus the Red Wings, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.

Staal is set to miss his third straight game. There's been no specific update about his availability for Saturday's game against the Bruins -- it's possible he's sitting out Friday to avoid playing back-to-back contests immediately after the injury. Due to Andrei Svechnikov's (undisclosed) absence, Justin Robidas is holding the last spot in the Hurricanes' lineup for Friday's game.

  • Dylan Holloway LW | STL

    Blues' Dylan Holloway: Considered week-to-week

The Blues announced Friday that Holloway (lower body) is considered week-to-week, Jeremy Rutherford of The Athletic reports.

Head coach Jim Montgomery said earlier Friday that Holloway would miss "the next couple of games," but the 23-year-old has now officially been classified as week-to-week. It's not yet clear whether Holloway will be able to return to game action before the playoffs, but Jimmy Snuggerud should take on an increased role in his absence.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Unavailable for Saturday

Draisaitl (undisclosed) will miss Saturday's tilt against Los Angeles, per Oilers play-by-play announcer Jack Michaels on Friday.

Draisaitl is also unlikely to play Monday versus Anaheim, but he's expected to be back before the playoffs. The 29-year-old has 52 goals and 106 points in 71 outings in 2024-25. Connor McDavid (lower body) also remains out, so Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Adam Henrique are projected to be the Oilers' top-two centers versus the Kings.

  • Nils Aman C | VAN

Canucks' Nils Aman: Suffers injury during practice

Aman sustained an undisclosed injury during Friday's practice, Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 reports.

Aman is still being evaluated, so his status for Saturday's game against Anaheim remains unclear. If Aman can't play, then Vancouver will likely need to recall a player because the Canucks would be down to 11 healthy forwards and six healthy blueliners. The 25-year-old has a goal and six points in 19 outings in 2024-25.

  • Penguins' Evgeni Malkin: Game-time call Saturday

Malkin (upper body) will be a game-time decision ahead of Saturday's clash with Dallas, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.

Malkin was hitting his offensive stride prior to his four-game absence, recording three goals and two assists, including three power-play points, in his previous seven outings. If he suits up Saturday, Malkin should reclaim his spot on the second line in addition to linking up with one of the power-play units.

  • Connor Dewar C | PIT

Penguins' Connor Dewar: Deposits goal Thursday

Dewar scored a goal on two shots, added three hits and blocked four shots in Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Blues.

Dewar ended his six-game goal drought with a second-period tally. The 25-year-old continues to see middle-six minutes with the Penguins, including a season-high 18:55 in Thursday's contest. He's up to four goals, eight points, 47 shots on net, 112 hits, 32 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over 42 appearances between Pittsburgh and Toronto this season.

  • Jordan Kyrou C | STL

Blues' Jordan Kyrou: Two points in OT win

Kyrou recorded an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Penguins.

Kyrou scored midway through the second period and extended his solid stretch of play in recent weeks, as he's found the back of the net in four of his last six appearances. Kyrou has been one of the most prolific forwards on the Blues roster this season and is up to 33 goals, as well as 32 assists, in 77 contests. He's just four goals away from tying his career-best output in that category, and he might achieve that if he extends his hot streak until the end of the regular season.

  • Blues' Robert Thomas: Keeps hot streak alive

Thomas recorded a power-play goal and an even-strength assist in Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Penguins. He also took two shots on goal and recorded two blocked shots.

Thomas has been scorching hot and extended his point streak to seven games, a span in which he's recorded 15 points (three goals, 12 helpers). Furthermore, he's cracked the scoresheet in all but one of St. Louis' last 11 wins, tallying 19 points (three goals, 16 assists), 19 shots on goal and a plus-10 rating over that stretch. The 25-year-old playmaker is heading into the playoffs on a sizzling streak.

  • Predators' Steven Stamkos: Tallies lone goal in loss

Stamkos scored a goal on two shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Stars.

Stamkos ended a five-game point drought, as well as a seven-game stretch without a goal, when he opened the scoring at 4:37 of the second period. That was all Jake Oettinger gave up, and the Stars rallied in the third to take the win. Stamkos is now at 24 goals, 46 points, 161 shots on net, 64 hits, 44 PIM, 41 blocked shots and a minus-31 rating over 76 appearances in a disappointing first season in Nashville.
