  • Kevin Rooney C | UTA

    Flames' Kevin Rooney: Deposits goal

Rooney scored a goal in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.

The fourth-liner stretched the Flames' lead to 3-1 at 15:19 of the second period. Rooney has picked up the pace a little with a goal and two assists over his last six outings. That's not to say he'll take off on offense -- his role remains heavily limited. He's reached double-digit points for the fourth time in his career with five goals, five helpers, 51 shots on net, 98 hits, 38 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 64 appearances.

  • Bruins' Elias Lindholm: Worst statistical season of career

Lindholm scored the Bruins only goal in a 4-1 loss to Montreal on Thursday.

It was his 14th goal and just 39th point of the season (76 games). The Boston experience has been a struggle for Lindholm, whose production has been a lot more like his early seasons with Carolina than his much stronger work in Calgary. He's arguably having the worst statistical season of his career, aside from his rookie season, and his defensive work has suffered, too. The Bruins were seeking a Patrice Bergeron-like player when they inked Lindholm, but he's proving to be a very costly mistake.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Strikes early in win

Kadri scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.

Kadri set the tone in the Flames' favor just 16 seconds into the game. He ended a three-game goal drought and has earned eight goals and three assists over his last nine outings. For the season, the 34-year-old center is up to 31 goals, 59 points, 257 shots on net, 51 hits, 70 PIM and a minus-18 rating through 75 appearances. He needs two more goals to set a career high in that category.

  • Flames' Blake Coleman: Showcases special-teams skills

Coleman scored a pair of goals on five shots in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.

Coleman got in on a shorthanded breakaway midway through the second period, and he scored what would be the game-winner. The 33-year-old then padded the Flames' lead with a power-play marker in the third. Coleman has five power-play points and three shorthanded points this season, though this was his first goal on the penalty kill in 2024-25 after he had a career-best four of them last year. Overall, he's at 15 goals, 34 points, 180 shots on net, 160 hits, 57 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating through 75 appearances. It's not the same as his 30-goal, 54-point eruption in 2023-24, but this year's work is pretty normal for Coleman.

  • Jack McBain C | UTA

Hockey Club's Jack McBain: One of each in loss

McBain scored a power-play goal, dished an assist and added four hits in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.

McBain had gone 10 games without a goal and also ended a five-game stretch without a point. That's life on the third line for the 25-year-old, who has done fine as a depth scorer but hasn't posted a point streak of more than three contests all season. He's at 13 goals, 24 points, 80 shots on net, 271 hits, 78 PIM and a plus-6 rating over 76 appearances. His goal was the first power-play point of his career.

  • Kings' Phillip Danault: Manages assist in Thursday's win

Danault registered an assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over Utah.

Danault set up Trevor Moore's tally in the third period, which was the game-winner. Over the last eight games, Danault has two goals and four assists, providing a little more balance to his offense than earlier in the season when he was heavily tilted toward helpers. The center has eight tallies, 32 assists, 117 shots on net, 78 hits, 69 blocked shots and a plus-17 rating over 74 appearances. This is the seventh time Danault has reached the 40-point mark, including all four of his years with the Kings.

  • Kings' Quinton Byfield: Draws helper in win

Byfield logged an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-2 win over Utah.

Byfield won a faceoff and Drew Doughty did the rest, scoring a long-range empty-netter at 18:10 of the third period. This was a sixth straight game without a goal for Byfield, but he has three helpers over his last three contests. The 22-year-old center is up to 19 goals, 28 assists, 144 shots on net, 72 hits, 30 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a plus-15 rating through 75 outings.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Leaves Thursday's game

Draisaitl won't return to Thursday's game versus the Sharks, Derek Van Diest of NHL.com reports.

Van Diest indicates this may be an aggravation of Draisaitl's previous injury that recently cost him four games in late March, but the Oilers have not provided a specific update. Draisaitl picked up a power-play assist prior to his exit Thursday, giving him five points over three contests since returning from that previous injury. Once again, the Oilers will be cautious with one of their most important players leading up to the playoffs, as they'll want him as close to 100 percent as possible when the postseason begins.

  • Shane Pinto C | OTT

Senators' Shane Pinto: First goal in 10 games

Pinto scored a goal Thursday in a 2-1 win over Tampa Bay.

Pinto opened the scoring in the first when he took a drop pass and snapped the biscuit past Andrei Vasilevskiy with a wrist shot under the glove from the middle of the slot. It was Pinto's first goal in 10 games (11 shots). He's a solid two-way, bottom-six pivot, and that means he's more valuable on the ice than in the fantasy arena.

  • Ridly Greig C | OTT

Senators' Ridly Greig: Nine points in last 13 games

Greig had two assists in a 2-1 win over the Lightning on Tuesday.

Greig has taken a step this season -- he set a new career mark in points (30) in 72 games. But he has also taken a step back. Greig has a minus-13 rating, which is a big swing from last season's plus-10. But he has nine points, including two goals, and 19 shots in his last 13 games, and he has 131 hits and 46 blocks.
