Flames' Kevin Rooney: Posts assist Tuesday

Rooney logged an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.

Rooney has three helpers over 12 games in March, though his assist Tuesday snapped a five-game skid. The 31-year-old center has played exclusively on the fourth line when in the lineup, offering minimal fantasy value on a low-scoring team. He's at eight points, 46 shots on net, 94 hits, 34 blocked shots and a minus-5 rating through 59 appearances.

  • Morgan Frost C | CGY

Flames' Morgan Frost: Picks up power-play helper

Frost logged a power-play assist, three shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.

Frost has a helper in each of the last two games. Three of his four assists over 12 outings in March have come on the power play, but he hasn't scored since Feb. 8 against the Kraken. The 25-year-old center hasn't stepped up in a larger role during the absence of Mikael Backlund (upper body). Frost is at 32 points (11 on the power play), 122 shots on net, 57 hits and a minus-14 rating over 69 contests between the Flames and the Flyers this season.

  • Flames' Jonathan Huberdeau: Manages two assists in overtime win

Huberdeau logged two assists and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.

Huberdeau helped out on third-period tallies by Nazem Kadri (on the power play) and Rasmus Andersson. This was Huberdeau's third multi-point effort in a row as he continues a productive March that's seen him rack up five goals and nine assists in 12 contests. For the season, the 31-year-old winger has 57 points, 136 shots on net, 54 blocked shots, 43 hits, 34 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 70 appearances. He is on track to reach the 60-point mark for the sixth time in his career and the first time since 2021-22.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

Flames' Nazem Kadri: Plays hero again Tuesday

Kadri scored twice on seven shots and added five PIM in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.

Kadri tied the game at 2-2 in the third period with a power-play tally. He then fought Brandon Montour, keeping both players off the ice for the remainder of regulation. Kadri made an impact in overtime, however, converting on a breakaway to seal the win. He is the first player in Flames franchise history to score in overtime in consecutive contests, having previously done so in a comeback win Saturday over the Islanders. His overtime tally Tuesday was also the 300th goal of his NHL career. Kadri is up to 28 goals, 54 points, 240 shots on net, 51 hits, 70 PIM and a minus-15 rating over 70 appearances, and he's earned eight goals and three helpers over 12 outings in March.

  • Red Wings' Michael Rasmussen: Posts power-play assist

Rasmussen notched a power-play assist, three blocked shots and a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Rasmussen has a goal and an assist over 10 contests since returning from a head injury. The 25-year-old has been on the first line for the last two games, which may help ignite his offense down the stretch if he stays in that spot. For the season, he's at 18 points (four on the power play), 88 shots on net, 120 hits, 50 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating through 66 appearances. Rasmussen may be worth streaming if his point production ramps up.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Three goals in last three games

Point scored a goal Tuesday in a 6-1 win over Pittsburgh.

He jammed in a rebound at 16:00 of the first period to run the score up to 4-0. Point has three goals in his last three games, and he has 35 on the season (66 games). He is coming off two straight 90-point seasons, and while he won't hit that mark this season, Point should continue to pace at better than a point per game (69 in 66 games so far). The Bolts have 11 games left, so Point could clear the 80-point threshold his season.

  • Brock Nelson C | COL

Avalanche's Brock Nelson: Nabs power-play helper

Nelson logged a power-play assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.

Nelson has three goals and three assists over his last five contests. The 33-year-old has been fairly steady in a second-line role since joining the Avalanche in a trade from the Islanders. For the season, the center is up to 23 goals, 27 helpers, 175 shots on net and a plus-7 rating over 70 appearances. He's reached the 50-point mark four years in a row and a total of six times in his career.

  • Lightning's Anthony Cirelli: Five points in last four games

Cirelli scored two goals in a 6-1 win over Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

They came in his 500th NHL game. Cirelli opened the scoring from the low slot at 12:13 of the first, and then extended the lead to 3-0 a few minutes later with a wrister from the left circle. Cirelli's offense has woken up lately, and he's put up four goals and one assist (13 shots) in his last four games. He now has 52 points, including 26 goals, in 69 games this season.

  • Martin Necas C | COL

Avalanche's Martin Necas: Earns two power-play helpers

Necas recorded a pair of power-play assists and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.

This was Necas' first multi-point effort since March 6. He has nine points over 10 games in that span, with seven of those points coming on the power play. The even-strength struggles have led to him switching places with Valeri Nichushkin in recent games, though Necas remains a productive player even in a second-line role. For the season, Necas is at 24 goals, 53 assists, 183 shots on net, 59 hits and a plus-8 rating over 72 outings between the Avalanche and the Hurricanes.

  • Penguins' Sidney Crosby: Eight-game, 13-point streak

It pushed his point streak to eight games and 13 points (seven goals, six assists). Crosby, who has 79 points (25 goals, 54 helpers), is one point from recording his 20th point-per-game season and passing Wayne Gretzky for the most in NHL history.
