  • Tomas Hertl C | LV

Golden Knights' Tomas Hertl: Second hat trick this month

Hertl scored three goals on four shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Red Wings.

Two of Hertl's tallies came on the power play. He scored the Golden Knights' first two goals of the contest and then struck again midway through the second period as Vegas took full control of the game. It's his second hat trick in March, a month that's seen him score seven times while adding five assists over 10 outings. For the season, the 31-year-old center has reached the 30-goal mark for the third time in his career, and he's at 58 points (23 on the power play), 165 shots on net, 96 hits, 53 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 69 appearances. He could challenge his career high of 35 goals from the 2018-19 campaign, but his personal-best 74-point total from that season is likely out of reach this year.

  • Lightning's Jake Guentzel: Big three-point effort in loss

Guentzel had a goal and two assists in a 6-4 loss to Utah on Saturday.

Guentzel has 34 goals and 33 assists (187 shots) in 68 games in his first year with the Bolts. He's now within one goal of tying Dino Ciccarelli (35; 1996-97) for the second-most goals by a player in his first season with Tampa Bay. It would take a real push for him to best Brian Bradley, who tops the list with 42 (1992-93), but never say never.

  • Cody Glass C | NJ

Devils' Cody Glass: Grabs helper in loss

Glass logged an assist and two hits in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.

Glass has two goals and four helpers over seven contests with the Devils. He helped out on an Erik Haula tally late in Saturday's loss. Glass has a total of 21 points, 84 shots on net, 49 hits and a minus-3 rating over 58 appearances this season. He's seen more ice time with the Devils while featuring in their middle six than he did with the Penguins, which has likely helped him sustain a higher level of offense.

  • Lightning's Brayden Point: Snaps eight-game goal drought

Point scored twice Saturday in a 6-4 loss to Utah.

His first came on the power play; the second was at even strength. Point had gone eight games without a snipe, but his 34 on the season put him in a four-player tie for sixth overall in the NHL. Point still has a shot at a 40-goal season. If he does that, it would be his third consecutive season hitting that mark and fourth time in his career.

  • Devils' Nico Hischier: Gets back to 30-goal mark

Hischier scored a power-play goal on five shots, added three hits and logged two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.

Hischier has four goals and three assists during his six-game point streak. Three of those tallies have come on the power play. The 26-year-old center reached the 30-goal mark Saturday, getting to that level for the second time in three years, and he's now one goal shy of his career high from 2022-23. He's earned 56 points (24 on the power play), 174 shots on net, 55 blocked shots, 34 hits and a plus-10 rating over 65 appearances.

  • Ridly Greig C | OTT

Senators' Ridly Greig: Registers power-play helper

Greig logged a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Devils.

Greig has put up four points over his last five games. His offense hasn't been as flashy as some of his teammates' recent results, but Greig is taking care of business in a middle-six role. This was also his first power-play point since Feb. 4 against the Lightning. The 22-year-old forward is up to 25 points -- one shy of his 72-game output from a year ago -- and he's added 95 shots on net, 120 hits, 54 PIM and a minus-13 rating over 66 appearances.

  • Dylan Cozens C | OTT

Senators' Dylan Cozens: Manages helper in win

Cozens logged an assist and three hits in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Devils.

Cozens continues to thrive on the Senators' second line -- he's up to three goals and four assists over eight contests with the team. His latest contribution was a primary helper on Drake Batherson's second-period tally. Cozens has 38 points, 159 shots on net, 179 hits, 42 blocked shots, 64 PIM and a minus-11 rating through 69 appearances between the Senators and the Sabres. The 24-year-old should be on your fantasy roster if you need help in points, shots or hits.

  • Hockey Club's Nick Schmaltz: New career mark for assists

Schmaltz had a goal and two assists in a 6-4 victory over Tampa Bay on Saturday.

His goal came on a backhand early in the third; it stood as the winner. Schmaltz reached the 40-assist mark for the first time in his career; he put up 39 last season in Arizona. He also hasn't gone more than one game without a point in 14 outings since the 4 Nations Face-Off. Schmaltz has points in 10-of-14 games, with six goals, eight assists and 37 shots. That brings him up to 57 (17 goals, 40 assists) in 70 appearances overall.

  • Hockey Club's Alex Kerfoot: Just four points in last 19 games

Kerfoot scored two goals in a 6-4 win over the Lightning on Saturday.

Despite his impressive showing against Tampa Bay, Kerfoot has just three goals and one assist in his last 19 games. He also has just 20 points (10 each) and 87 shots in 70 games in his first season in Utah, which makes him a poor fantasy asset. It's a bad time to see Kerfoot's production drop relative to his 45-point effort in 2023-24, given his free agent status at the end of the year.

  • Logan Cooley C | UTA

Hockey Club's Logan Cooley: Joins impressive list of snipers

Cooley scored twice and added an assist in a 6-4 win over Tampa Bay on Saturday.

He now has a career-high 21 goals on the season. Cooley became the fifth active U.S.-born player to record multiple 20-goal seasons at age 20 or younger. Who are the others? It's a pretty impressive group: Brady Tkachuk (2019-20 and 2018-19), Auston Matthews (2017-18 and 2016-17), Jack Eichel (2016-17 and 2015-16) and Patrick Kane (2008-09 and 2007-08). Cooley is also on a four-game, six-point streak that includes four goals after a six-game point drought. This kid is going to be a fantasy building block.
