Byfield produced a goal and an assist in Saturday's 7-2 rout of the Hurricanes.
Every Kings forward got onto the scoresheet in the rout, and Byfield waited until late to get in on the action, potting the team's sixth goal before helping to set up Kevin Fiala for the seventh. It was Byfield's first multi-point performance since Feb. 24, but he's been lighting the lamp with frequency in March -- over the last nine games he has seven goals, but only one helper.

Wild's Marco Rossi: First goal in 12 games
Rossi scored a goal in a 4-1 win over the Sabres on Saturday.
Rossi opened the scoring just 56 seconds into the second period. He beat Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen with a snap shot from the slot for his first goal since Feb. 25. Rossi only had three assists during that 11-game span. Still, he's taken a big step forward in 2024-25, registering 54 points (22 goals, 32 assists) in 70 games. He tallied only 40 points, including 21 goals, in 82 appearances last season.

Rangers' J.T. Miller: Two points against former team
Miller produced a goal and one assist in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Canucks.
Miller assisted on the first of Jonny Brodzinski's two third-period goals before sealing the Rangers' victory with an empty-netter. Since being acquired from Vancouver on Jan. 31, the 32-year-old Miller has eight goals and 20 points in 21 games for the Rangers. He didn't have a point in three outings heading into Saturday's action.

Rangers' Jonny Brodzinski: Pots two goals in win
Brodzinski scored two goals and had two shots on net in a 5-3 victory over the Canucks on Saturday.
Brodzinski scored twice in the third period, including the game-winner at the 15:47 mark to halt Vancouver's comeback bid. He has two goals and one assist in his last two outings, giving him nine tallies and 16 points through 40 games this season. Brodzinski has two multi-goal efforts in 2024-25 after having none in his previous eight NHL campaigns.

Canucks' Nils Aman: Contributes two helpers
Aman had two assists and one shot on goal in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Rangers.
Aman had a hand in goals by Dakota Joshua and Drew O'Connor in Saturday's defeat. The 25-year-old Aman has one goal and five points through 14 NHL outings this season. He posted his first multi-point effort of 2024-25 and the fourth of his career.

Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Suffers injury Saturday
Jarvis sustained an undisclosed injury Saturday versus Los Angeles and won't return to the game.
Jarvis appeared to slam his head into the boards, per Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News. He went into Saturday's match with 27 goals and 52 points in 61 appearances in 2024-25. Andrei Svechnikov (upper body), Jordan Staal (lower body) and Shayne Gostisbehere (illness) were all unavailable Saturday, reducing the Hurricanes' healthy options to just 12 forwards and six defensemen. However, Jarvis could be available to play against Anaheim on Sunday, per Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site.

Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson: Exits game due to injury
Dickinson won't return to Saturday's game against St. Louis due to an undisclosed injury.
Dickinson logged 3:55 of ice time over six shifts before exiting the match. He has seven goals and 16 points in 59 appearances in 2024-25. If Dickinson can't play Sunday versus Philadelphia, then Philipp Kurashev will probably draw back into the lineup.

Sabres' Sam Lafferty: Suffers groin injury
Lafferty sustained a groin injury during Saturday's 4-1 loss to Minnesota.
Lafferty had a shot and two hits in 7:33 of ice time Saturday. Coach Lindy Ruff said there's a good chance Lafferty won't play Sunday versus Winnipeg. If that's the case, then Lafferty's next opportunity to return would be Tuesday versus Ottawa.

Canucks' Elias Pettersson: Suffers injury Saturday
Pettersson (undisclosed) sat out the third period in Vancouver's 5-3 loss to the Rangers on Saturday.
Pettersson appeared to suffer an injury on a faceoff during the second period. He returned to the game briefly before being ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Pettersson entered Saturday's action with 15 goals and 45 points in 63 games this season.

Hurricanes' Jordan Staal: Not playing Saturday
Staal (lower body) won't play against the Kings on Saturday.
Staal will miss at least one game after being a late scratch before the pregame warmups. He has registered 12 goals and 33 points in 68 appearances this season. Staal's next chance to play will be Sunday against Anaheim.
