Barkov scored for the second game in a row, lifting the Panthers to a hard-earned win with his tally 29 seconds into overtime to end the goalie duel between Sergei Bobrovsky and Elvis Merzlikins. Barkov is up to 19 goals, 63 points, 131 shots on net, 75 hits, 52 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 59 appearances. • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Won't play against Kraken

Draisaitl (undisclosed) will miss Saturday's clash with Seattle, Bob Stauffer of the Oilers Radio Network reports.

In addition to Draisaitl, the Oilers will also be without superstar Connor McDavid (lower body), who is undergoing an MRI on Friday. With its top two centers sidelined, Edmonton will likely move Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Adam Henrique into top-six roles. For his part, Draisaitl will miss his second straight game due to his undisclosed injury.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Undergoing MRI

McDavid (lower body) will undergo an MRI on Friday and will be unavailable versus Seattle on Saturday, Bob Stauffer of the Oilers Radio Network reports.

McDavid is riding a 13-game point streak in which he has racked up four goals and 15 assists, including six power-play points. The world-class center has already missed six games this season and will now be sidelined for a seventh. With Leon Draisaitl (undisclosed) also on the shelf, the Oilers will likely move Ryan Nugent-Hopkins into the first-line center role and will need to shift Corey Perry or Viktor Arvidsson onto the No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Paul Cotter C | NJ

Devils' Paul Cotter: Pots goal Thursday

Cotter scored a goal and added two hits in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Flames.

Cotter has two goals over his last five games, though he's largely been limited to fourth-line duties. The 25-year-old forward centered that trio Thursday with Curtis Lazar (undisclosed) out of action. Cotter is at 15 goals, six helpers, 79 shots on net, 218 hits, 47 PIM and a minus-11 rating over 69 appearances this season.

  • Morgan Frost C | CGY

Flames' Morgan Frost: Nabs power-play assist in win

Frost logged a power-play assist and two hits in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Devils.

Frost ended a six-game point drought with the secondary helper on Matthew Coronato's second-period tally. The 25-year-old Frost has been limited to four helpers and 20 shots on net over 13 appearances since the 4 Nations Face-Off break. He's currently on the second line in place of Mikael Backlund (upper body), who is considered week-to-week. Frost has 31 points, 118 shots on net, 51 blocked shots, 53 hits and a minus-15 rating over 67 contests between the Flames and the Flyers this season.

  • Connor Zary C | CGY

Flames' Connor Zary: Sparks comeback Thursday

Zary scored a goal on five shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Devils.

Zary's goal at 6:50 of the third period was the first of four tallies in the frame for the Flames as they pulled off a comeback win. The 23-year-old also led all Calgary forwards with 21:57 of ice time. Zary has a goal and an assist, as well as nine shots, over two contests following a two-game suspension. He's at 13 goals, 26 points, 105 shots on net and a minus-7 rating through 51 outings in 2024-25. Fantasy managers in need of a boost in points or shots should consider Zary for the final few weeks of the season.

  • Nazem Kadri C | COL

    Flames' Nazem Kadri: Deposits empty-netter

Kadri scored an empty-net goal on three shots in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Devils.

Kadri's strong March continues -- he's now at five goals and three helpers over 10 games this month. The 34-year-old center put the cherry on top of the Flames' third-period comeback in Thursday's win. For the season, he has 25 goals, 51 points, 227 shots on net, 50 hits, 65 PIM and a minus-18 rating over 68 appearances. He won't end up anywhere near his 75-point campaign from 2023-24, but he could push for the 60-point mark by the end of the season.

  • Dylan Cozens C | OTT

Senators' Dylan Cozens: Spoils shutout bid

Cozens scored a power-play goal on four shots, added two PIM and logged two hits in Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Avalanche.

Cozens has gotten on the scoresheet in six of seven games since the Senators acquired him from the Sabres. He's earned three goals and three assists in that span, including the team's lone goal in Thursday's blowout loss. Overall, the 24-year-old has 37 points, 159 shots on net, 176 hits, 64 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 68 appearances this season, bringing a decent scoring touch and some grit to the Senators' second line.

  • Colton Dach C | EDM

Blackhawks' Colton Dach: Won't play against St. Louis

Dach is considered day-to-day due to a hyperextended left elbow and won't play Saturday against St. Louis, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.

Dach sustained his injury during Thursday's game against the Kings, and interim head coach Anders Sorensen expressed optimism Friday that the 22-year-old isn't dealing with a more significant injury. Patrick Maroon is a candidate to enter the lineup in Dach's absence. Whether Dach will be available for Sunday's game against the Flyers remains to be seen.

  • Avalanche's Charlie Coyle: Posts assist Thursday

Coyle recorded an assist in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Senators.

Coyle snapped a five-game point drought with the helper. The 33-year-old center has filled the third-line center role since he was swapped to the Avalanche in a trade that sent fellow pivot Casey Mittelstadt to the Bruins. Coyle's scoring contributions are likely to remain limited in a bottom-six role, making him a risky option for fantasy. He's at 15 goals, nine assists, 97 shots on net, 99 hits, 55 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating over 71 appearances this season.
