  • Zeev Buium D | VAN

Canucks' Zeev Buium: Snags helper in Friday's win

Buium recorded an assist in Friday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Buium set up a Jake DeBrusk tally in a frantic first period. The helper was Buium's first point in five games since he returned from a broken bone near his cheek that sidelined him for five contests prior to the Olympics. The defenseman is up to 21 points, 53 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 56 outings between the Canucks and the Wild in his rookie year.

  • Canucks' Marcus Pettersson: Picks up pair of helpers

Pettersson notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Friday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Pettersson has three helpers over three games in March. The 29-year-old defenseman continues to see plenty of playing time in a top-four role for the Canucks. He's at 14 points, 56 shots on net, 56 hits, 56 PIM and 104 blocked shots over 62 appearances. Pettersson can help in deeper fantasy formats that count blocks, but his overall profile isn't enticing on a bad team.

  • Red Wings' Jacob Bernard-Docker: Playing time likely to slip

Bernard-Docker's point drought reached 10 games in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Panthers.

Bernard-Docker has played in 26 consecutive games, but he has just three assists, 11 shots on net, a plus-8 rating, 30 hits and 45 blocked shots in that span. The Red Wings' trade for Justin Faulk will almost certainly cost Bernard-Docker playing time, though Travis Hamonic and Axel Sandin-Pellikka are also likely to rotate in and out of the lineup at times. With just four helpers over 47 contests in 2025-26, Bernard-Docker's drop in playing time won't be noticed in fantasy.

  • Dante Fabbro D | CLB

Blue Jackets' Dante Fabbro: Not playing Saturday

Fabbro (lower body) has been ruled out of Saturday's tilt against Utah, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Fabbro will miss his second straight game. He has four goals, five assists, 51 hits and 88 blocked shots across 54 contests this season. He could return as early as Monday versus Los Angeles.

  • Justin Faulk D | DET

Red Wings' Justin Faulk: Expected to play Sunday

Faulk is slated to play in New Jersey on Sunday. Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Faulk was dealt from St. Louis to Detroit on Friday and will meet the Red Wings in New Jersey. He had 11 goals, 21 assists, 102 blocked shots and 49 hits across 61 appearances with St. Louis before the trade.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Ready to play Saturday

Werenski (Illness) will return to action against Utah on Saturday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.

Following a three-game absence, Werenski will return to the lineup after recovering from a stomach bug. He has amassed 20 goals, 65 points, 195 shots on net and 68 blocked shots across 54 appearances this season.

  • Cale Makar D | COL

Avalanche's Cale Makar: Two points in Dallas

Makar produced a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Friday's 5-4 shootout win over the Stars.

Both points came in the first period, as Makar opened the scoring early in the frame before having a hand in a Nathan MacKinnon tally with just two seconds left before intermission. Playing for Team Canada in the Olympics seems to have rejuvenated Makar. The star blueliner had just one goal and four points in the last 10 games before the break. However, he has busted out for four goals and nine points in six games since the NHL schedule resumed.

  • Bruins' Jonathan Aspirot: Ready to rock

Aspirot (illness) will return to the lineup against Washington on Saturday, per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.

After missing Thursday's 6-3 loss to Nashville, Aspirot will replace Jordan Harris in Saturday's lineup against the Capitals. The 26-year-old Aspirot has two goals, eight points, 25 shots on net, 55 blocked shots and 66 hits across 40 appearances this season.

  • Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Ready to rock

Ekman-Larsson (not injury related) will return to the lineup Saturday versus Tampa Bay, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports.

Ekman-Larsson was a healthy scratch the last two games, as the Maple Leafs were fielding offers ahead of Friday's trade deadline and didn't want him to suffer an injury. Ekman-Larsson is having his best offensive season since the 2015-16 campaign, when he tallied 21 goals and 55 points for Arizona. Ekman-Larsson has eight goals and 27 assists in 61 games this season.

  • Sabres' Zach Metsa: Dropped to AHL

Metsa was loaned to AHL Rochester on Friday.

Metsa has two goals, four points, 17 shots on net and 20 blocked shots in 31 NHL appearances this season. Buffalo bolstered its blue line ahead of the trade deadline by acquiring Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn from Winnipeg on Thursday. However, Metsa could get another look at the NHL level at some point before the end of the 2025-26 regular season.
