Jake Walman D | EDM
Oilers' Jake Walman: Removed from LTIR
Walman (lower body) was activated from long-term injured reserve Tuesday.
Following a 23-game absence, Walman should return to the lineup against Nashville on Tuesday. He has contributed three goals, 10 points, 23 shots on net, 31 blocked shots and seven hits in 17 appearances this season.

Denton Mateychuk D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Not an option against Calgary
Mateychuk (upper body) will be sidelined for Tuesday's home game versus the Flames, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
General manager Don Waddell conveyed to reporters that he doesn't expect Mateychuk to miss much time if his doctor's visit goes well. Tuesday's evaluation will be a second opinion for Mateychuk, as the blueliner was assessed by a different doctor Monday, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site. Due to Mateychuk's absence, Dante Fabbro will slide into a top-four role, while Jake Christiansen is set to draw back into the lineup Tuesday.

Jamie Drysdale D | PHI
Flyers' Jamie Drysdale: Nearing return to lineup
Drysdale (upper body) might be ready to return against Buffalo on Wednesday, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports.
Drysdale remains on injured reserve for now, but he has been practicing and could return from a three-game absence soon. He has generated three goals, 18 points, 45 shots on net and 41 blocked shots across 41 appearances this season.

Dougie Hamilton D | NJ
Devils' Dougie Hamilton: Two helpers in return to lineup
Hamilton pocketed two assists in Monday's 5-2 win over the Wild.
After trade rumors were kicked into overdrive Sunday when Hamilton was a healthy scratch, the blueliner drew back into the lineup Monday and produced his first multi-point performance since Oct. 30. It's been a tough season for the 32-year-old, who has just five goals and 12 points in 41 games, and a change of scenery might be what Hamilton needs -- assuming the Devils can find a taker for his contract, which has two years at a $9 million AAV remaining on it.

Alexandre Carrier D | MON
Canadiens' Alexandre Carrier: Lights lamp twice in win
Carrier scored two goals in Monday's 6-3 win over the Canucks.
The two tallies came 20 seconds apart in the second period. Carrier snapped a 43-game goal drought with the surprising performance, with his only other goal on the season coming in the Habs' second game Oct. 9. The 29-year-old blueliner doesn't get paid for his offense, however. Through 46 games, Carrier's produced 14 points, 100 blocked shots, 33 shots on net, 20 hits, 20 PIM and a minus-3 rating.

Evan Bouchard D | EDM
Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Lights the lamp twice Monday
Bouchard scored two goals, tallied an assist and fired four shots on net in Monday's 4-1 win over the Blackhawks.
Bouchard scored just 16 seconds into the second period before finding the empty cage near the end of the third to secure the win. He also picked up a helper on Zach Hyman's goal in the first period. With the pair of twine finders, Bouchard is up to 11 goals, 35 assists, 116 shots on net and 67 blocks through 46 games this season. Since Team Canada announced its roster for the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympic Games, which didn't include Bouchard, he has nine points, 13 shots on goal and eight blocks in five games. Regardless of his Olympic status, his strong start to the calendar year is turning heads, as he now ranks third among all defensemen in points this season. At his current pace, he could reach the 80-point threshold by the end of the regular season for the second time in his career. He still has an outside shot to win the Norris Trophy, and he's worth mentioning alongside the best playmaking defensemen in the league.

Jakob Chychrun D | WAS
Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Game-time call Tuesday
Chychrun (illness) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's clash with Montreal, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports.
Chychrun didn't participate in power-play rushes but also didn't stay on the ice after practice, so it's hard to read between the lines here. Prior to missing Sunday's clash with the Predators, the 27-year-old defenseman was stuck in a seven-game goal drought during which he produced three assists, 19 shots and 11 blocks.
-
Cale Makar D | COL
Avalanche's Cale Makar: Records two points Monday
Makar scored a goal on two shots and picked up a power-play assist in a 4-3 loss to Toronto on Monday.
Makar has three multi-point games over his last six outings, generating two goals and six assists, including five with the man advantage. At his current pace, the offensively-gifted blueliner should be capable of reaching the 90-point threshold for the third consecutive year and could even challenge for 100.
-
Oliver Ekman-Larsson D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Snags two helpers
Ekman-Larsson registered two assists in Monday's 4-3 win over the Avalanche.
Ekman-Larsson was able to close out a four-game pointless streak, though he remains stuck in a five-game goal drought. Despite the slump, the veteran blueliner is on pace to cross the 30-point threshold for just the second time in the last six seasons and could even reach 40 for the first time since 2018-19 when he was with Arizona.
-
Jacob Bryson D | WPG
Sabres' Jacob Bryson: Scores goal in loss
Bryson scored a goal in Monday's 4-3 loss to Florida.
Bryson tallied Buffalo's first goal of the contest near the midway point of the opening period. With the twine finder, the 28-year-old blueliner is up to two goals, five points, 10 shots on net and 14 blocks through 28 games this season. His second goal of the year helped him set a new career high in markers and also snapped his eight-game scoreless streak. He remains off the fantasy radar in all formats until he finds a way to maintain consistent playing time amidst a strong defenseman room in Buffalo.
