Matthew Schaefer D | NYI
Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: Two more helpers Saturday
Schaefer notched two assists, one on the power play, in Saturday's 5-2 win over Florida.
The teenage phenom helped set up tallies by Brayden Schenn and Simon Holmstrom as part of a five-goal second period for the Islanders. Schaefer has piled up four goals and 15 points in 14 March contests, and his 56 points (22 goals, 34 assists) through 74 games on the season has tied the franchise scoring mark for a rookie defenseman, set by Stefan Persson in 1977-78.

Quinn Hughes D | MIN
Wild's Quinn Hughes: Plucks two apples in loss
Hughes supplied two assists, put three shots on net and posted four blocked shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Bruins.
Hughes slid the primary helper on each of Minnesota's two goals in the third period to help bring the team within one goal. Overall, he now has 66 assists, 72 points, 176 shots on net and 77 blocked shots across 68 games this season. The superstar defenseman has been consistent in March with a goal and 13 assists over the last 14 games. He is currently tied with Edmonton's Evan Bouchard for the most assists from a blueliner this season. While Hughes' goal total has taken a step back from the past two seasons, he remains in the running to be nominated for this year's Norris Trophy.

Hampus Lindholm D | BOS
Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Adds pair of assists
Lindholm recorded two assists, placed three shots on net and had four blocked shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over Minnesota.
Lindholm picked up secondary helpers on Boston's third and fourth goals of the evening. Overall, the 32-year-old blueliner is up to 20 assists, 24 points, 56 shots on goal and 96 blocked shots across 59 games this season. While his offensive production isn't where it once was, the veteran defenseman averages a respectable 1.63 blocks per game this season and can provide aid in deep fantasy leagues that value category coverage.

Andrew Peeke D | BOS
Bruins' Andrew Peeke: Nets opening goal Saturday
Peeke scored a goal, put three shots on net, recorded three blocked shots and dished out four hits in Saturday's 6-3 win over Minnesota.
Peeke sparked Boston's offense Saturday, as he tallied the first goal just over 60 seconds into regulation. Overall, the 28-year-old blueliner is up to five goals, 14 points, 75 shots on net, 92 hits and 122 blocked shots through 68 games this season. Saturday's goal was only Peeke's second point since the Olympic break, but he has been a steady source of category-coverage stats all season, giving him some value in fantasy formats that value those well-rounded contributions.

Jake McCabe D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Jake McCabe: Scores lone goal in loss
McCabe scored a goal on four shots in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Blues.
McCabe has scored in consecutive games and has four points over his last five outings. The 32-year-old blueliner continues to be reliable in a top-four role for the Maple Leafs. He's up to five goals, 24 points, 70 shots on net, 96 hits, 174 blocked shots and a plus-15 rating over 72 appearances this season.
-
Philip Broberg D | STL
Blues' Philip Broberg: Pots power-play marker
Broberg scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Broberg extended his point streak to four games with this tally, which was his first power-play point since March 8 versus the Ducks. The 24-year-old defenseman is up to five goals, 27 points, 86 shots on net, 89 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 71 appearances this season. Broberg has regularly seen top billing on the blue line since the trade deadline, and he's also on the first power-play unit, giving him the potential to be a help to fantasy managers late in the season.

Josh Manson D | COL
Avalanche's Josh Manson: Plucks apple in loss
Manson logged an assist, four hits and two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Jets.
The helper was Manson's third in his last nine games. The 34-year-old blueliner continues to fill a bottom-four role for the Avalanche, offering plenty of toughness and a little scoring upside as well. He's put up 29 points, 110 shots on net, 163 hits, 93 blocked shots, 89 PIM and a plus-39 rating over 72 appearances. Manson likely won't match his career high of 37 points from 80 games with the Ducks in 2017-18, but there's no denying he's been good in his role this year.

Elias Salomonsson D | WPG
Jets' Elias Salomonsson: Pockets assist in win
Salomonsson notched an assist and three hits in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Avalanche.
Salomonsson has made himself a fixture in the Jets' lineup since late January. He's earned four helpers, 31 hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 15 appearances in March, offering a little offense to go with emerging defensive stability in a bottom-four role, though he was seeing heavier minutes when the Jets' blue line was banged up. Salomonsson has five points, 36 shots on net, 47 hits, 27 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 30 appearances this season.

Spencer Stastney D | EDM
Oilers' Spencer Stastney: Losing playing time
Stastney was scratched for the fourth game in a row in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Ducks.
Stastney has been scratched seven times in March. It appears Ty Emberson has picked up the slack on the blue line for now, though he's far from secure to stay in the lineup. Stastney has gone 13 contests without a point, leaving him stuck at 10 points, 56 shots on net, 63 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating over 66 appearances between Edmonton and Nashville this season. Stastney has just one point, a goal, in 36 games for the Oilers, despite his average ice time of 16:02 being 1:10 more per game than he saw with the Predators prior to a December trade.

He's earned 15 points, 69 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating over 53 appearances this season, his most productive campaign since he had 16 points in 65 outings for the Kings in 2019-20.
