Egor Zamula D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Egor Zamula: Links up with Columbus
Zamula signed a one-year, $1 million contract with Columbus on Tuesday, PuckPedia reports.
After being dealt to Pittsburgh from Philadelphia on Wednesday, Zamula was put on unconditional waivers by the Penguins on Monday for the purpose of terminating his contract. Zamula will now join another team in the Metropolitan Division, as the Blue Jackets signed him due to a few injuries they are dealing with on the blue line. The left-shot defenseman will fill a depth role for his new club and could replace Jake Christiansen on the third pairing in short order.

Jared Spurgeon D | MIN
Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Earns two points in loss
Spurgeon scored a goal, added a power-play assist and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.
Spurgeon has five points over his last six outings. The 36-year-old defenseman is still seeing ample ice time on the second pairing, though he doesn't need to be a workhorse with Quinn Hughes and Brock Faber handling heavy usage on the top pairing. Spurgeon is now at 13 points (five on the power play), 50 shots on net, 88 blocked shots, 55 hits and a plus-4 rating through 44 appearances this season. His all-around play gives him a little appeal in deep fantasy formats.

Brian Dumoulin D | LA
Kings' Brian Dumoulin: Registers pair of helpers
Dumoulin notched two assists, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-2 win over the Wild.
Dumoulin has a pair of two-assist games over his last five outings. Prior to that, he went 11 contests without a point. The 34-year-old defenseman has limited scoring potential, especially in a bottom-four role. He's up to 10 helpers, 41 shots on net, 57 blocked shots, 21 hits, 12 PIM and a plus-6 rating through 41 appearances this season, giving him a chance to reach the 20-point mark for the third time in four years.

Adam Larsson D | SEA
Kraken's Adam Larsson: Pockets assist in win
Larsson notched an assist and went plus-3 in Monday's 5-1 win over the Flames.
Prior to Monday, Larsson had posted just one assist with 20 hits, 32 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over his previous 13 games. The stalwart defenseman hasn't chipped in much on offense this year with nine points, 43 shots on net and a minus-1 rating to go with 58 hits, 90 blocked shots and 22 PIM through 40 outings. He's on pace to miss the 20-point mark, though he's still in a large enough role that one strong week of offense could get him back on track.

Vince Dunn D | SEA
Kraken's Vince Dunn: Gets goal in big win
Dunn scored a goal, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 5-1 win over the Flames.
Dunn ended a 10-game goal drought with his third-period tally. The defenseman had three assists and a minus-9 rating in that span. He's up to six goals, 21 points, 86 shots on net, 44 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-12 rating over 39 appearances this season. Dunn is on pace to get back over the 40-point mark after injuries limited him to 39 points in 62 regular-season contests in 2024-25.

Albert Johansson D | DET
Red Wings' Albert Johansson: Records helper in win
Johansson posted an assist and two PIM in Monday's 5-3 win over the Senators.
Johansson has three helpers over his last nine contests. That's not much offense, but he was limited to one assist in a 28-game span prior to this uptick in production. The 25-year-old blueliner now has six assists, 29 shots on net, 35 hits, 61 blocked shots and a minus-13 rating through 44 appearances this season, mainly in a bottom-four role that isn't likely to help him earn fantasy interest.

Jacob Bernard-Docker D | DET
Red Wings' Jacob Bernard-Docker: Rare assist in win
Bernard-Docker registered an assist, two hits, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 5-3 win over the Senators.
The helper was Bernard-Docker's first point since Oct. 19 versus the Oilers. He went 22 contests without getting on the scoresheet, and he was scratched an additional 15 times in that span. Bernard-Docker has two assists, 22 shots on net, 38 hits, 42 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating over 28 outings this season, but he'll continue to battle with Travis Hamonic for playing time.

Nick DeSimone D | UTA
Mammoth's Nick DeSimone: Reclaims role, quiet on offense
DeSimone played in his eighth straight game in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers, but his point drought is up to 11 contests.
DeSimone was scratched for 10 of 11 games between Nov. 28 and Dec. 16. While he's regained a spot in the lineup over Olli Maatta, DeSimone hasn't been able to get back on the scoresheet, which leaves him at risk of slipping back into a part-time role. He's at three points, 20 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through 18 appearances this season.
-
Ian Cole D | UTA
Mammoth's Ian Cole: Provides assist in overtime win
Cole notched an assist and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.
Cole set up Dylan Guenther's goal in the second period. The 36-year-old Cole didn't do much on offense in December, registering three points, eight shots on net, 16 hits, 27 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating over 14 appearances. The veteran defenseman is now at 13 points, 31 shots, 47 hits, 87 blocks, 24 PIM and a plus-16 rating through 43 contests as a defensive stalwart for the Mammoth.

Olen Zellweger D | ANA
Ducks' Olen Zellweger: Snags assist in loss
Zellweger registered an assist, four shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Capitals.
Zellweger and Radko Gudas had a decent defensive game, but the Ducks as a whole struggled. Zellweger hasn't scored a goal since the end of his four-game point streak in late November, but he has picked up six helpers, 17 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating over his last 16 outings despite playing in a bottom-four role. He's also lost his power-play time during that stretch. Overall, Zellweger is at 16 points, 70 shots, 42 blocks and a plus-7 rating across 41 appearances this season.
