  • Capitals' Rasmus Sandin: Goal, assist in win

Sandin scored a goal on two shots and added an assist in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Mammoth.

Sandin set up an Alex Ovechkin tally in the second period and then scored the eventual game-winner himself in the third. The 26-year-old Sandin has five points over his last six contests, and he's doing that without much power-play usage, which has gone to Cole Hutson in recent games. Sandin is up to five goals, 27 points, 84 shots on net, 78 hits, 114 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 66 appearances. He's an intriguing depth option for fantasy with decent category coverage.

  • Kraken's Brandon Montour: Seven points in last seven games

Montour potted two goals and four PIM in a 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning on Thursday.

Montour opened the scoring and then delivered the win in overtime. The defender is on a modest three-game, four-point scoring streak that includes two goals. And he has seven points, including five assists, in his last seven games. It's the fourth season in Montour's career that he's hit the 10-goal plateau. He has 31 points and 135 shots in 53 games.

  • Olli Maatta D | CGY

Flames' Olli Maatta: Dishes pair of helpers

Maatta notched two assists and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks.

Maatta had a hand in both of the Flames' goals. He's been good with eight points over 11 outings for his new team, but this was his first multi-point effort in a Calgary sweater. The defenseman is up to one goal, eight assists, 25 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 33 contests between the Flames and the Mammoth this season. Maatta is playing heavy minutes in Calgary's top four to help shelter the team's younger blueliners.

  • John Carlson D | ANA

Ducks' John Carlson: Supplies two power-play helpers

Carlson logged two power-play assists and three shots on goal in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Flames.

Carlson has six helpers over the last four contests, with three of those assists coming on the power play. He had a hand in Mikael Granlund's last two goals of his hat trick. Carlson is fitting right in for the Ducks, giving them a reliable veteran presence on the blue line. He's now at 52 points (12 on the power play), 128 shots on net, 90 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a plus-14 rating over 61 appearances between the Ducks and the Capitals.

  • Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Seven multi-point games in last 10

Karlsson had a goal and two assists in a 4-3 shootout win over the Senators. He fired eight shots.

Karlsson has seven multi-point games in his last 10 outings; he was held off the scoresheet in the other three outings. One of the assists Thursday came on the power play, where he has 22 power-play points. Karlsson has 12 goals, 45 assists and 160 shots in 67 games, which projects to 65 points on the season. That would be his best output since 2022-23 (101 points) and second-best to his halcyon days in Ottawa (2016-17; 71 points).

  • Sharks' John Klingberg: Sits due to injury

Klingberg was out of the lineup Thursday versus the Blues due to a lower-body injury, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Klingberg will travel with the Sharks to Columbus ahead of Saturday's contest. The defenseman is day-to-day for now, but he has missed two of the Sharks' last four games, presumably due to this injury. Nick Leddy will be in the lineup while Klingberg is on the mend.

  • Radko Gudas D | ANA

Ducks' Radko Gudas: Questionable to finish game

Gudas sustained a lower-body injury Thursday versus the Flames and is questionable to return to the game, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.

The Ducks dressed seven defensemen for this contest, so it shouldn't be difficult for them to manage if Gudas remains in the locker room. The 35-year-old will be considered day-to-day until the Ducks provide another update on his status.

  • Canadiens' Jayden Struble: First goal in 87 games

Struble scored a goal Thursday in a 2-1 win over Columbus.

Struble drove in from the left point, took a pass at the dot and snapped a shot stick side on Jet Greaves. It was his first goal since Nov. 26, 2024 (87 games). Struble also added two hits. The rugged defender has one goal, 10 assists and 89 hits on the season (48 games). One goal, three assists and 18 hits have come in his last 10 games.

  • Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Should be fine after early exit

Spurgeon required stitches after crashing into the net in the third period of Thursday's game versus the Panthers, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.

Head coach John Hynes said Spurgeon should be fine moving forward, but that leaves at least a little doubt to his availability in Boston on Saturday. Check back for an update on Spurgeon's status ahead of that contest. If the defenseman can't play, Zach Bogosian will likely draw back into the lineup.

  • Blue Jackets' Damon Severson: Dealing with upper-body injury

Severson left Thursday's contest versus the Canadiens due to an upper-body injury, and there was no update on his status after the game, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Severson had the Blue Jackets' lone goal in a 2-1 loss Thursday, but he was hurt in the third period after a hit from Zachary Bolduc. The 31-year-old Severson can be considered day-to-day until his status is updated. If he misses time, Egor Zamula or Jake Christiansen will replace him in the lineup, while Denton Mateychuk or Dante Fabbro will get more ice time. Severson has 32 points in 71 outings this season and will be tough to replace if he's out for any length of time.
