Alec Regula D | EDM
Oilers' Alec Regula: Manages helper in return
Regula posted an assist, two blocked shots and two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Golden Knights.
Regula missed two games due to an illness, but it didn't sap his momentum. He's earned three helpers over his last four outings while seeing steady bottom-four usage. The 25-year-old blueliner should be able to stay in the lineup over Riley Stillman until Jake Walman (lower body) is able to return. Regula has three assists, 13 shots on net, 19 PIM, 14 hits, 28 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 21 appearances, so he's not expected to be much of a factor in fantasy.

Mike Matheson D | MON
Canadiens' Mike Matheson: Garners assist in shootout loss
Matheson logged an assist, three shots on goal and four blocked shots in Sunday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Penguins.
Matheson recently missed two games due to an upper-body injury, and this was his second contest back in the lineup. He's immediately stepped back into a massive role on the top pairing, so it's safe to assume he's close to 100 percent. The defenseman has been a pleasant surprise this season with 17 points, 43 shots on net, 73 blocks, 23 hits, 18 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 34 outings, though he has just three helpers over his last 13 appearances.

Noah Dobson D | MON
Canadiens' Noah Dobson: Lights lamp Sunday
Dobson scored a goal on three shots, blocked two shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Penguins.
Dobson has two goals over his last three games, though he's gotten on the scoresheet in just three of 12 contests in December. While it's been a bit of a rough month, the 25-year-old remains firmly in a top-four role for the Canadiens, which gives him the opportunity to turn his production around. He's at six goals, 20 points, 66 shots on net, 85 blocked shots, 20 PIM and a plus-2 rating through 36 outings overall.

Esa Lindell D | DAL
Stars' Esa Lindell: Earns two more helpers
Lindell logged two assists in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Maple Leafs.
Lindell has a goal and six helpers over his last seven games. He's done better at consistently contributing on offense since mid-November, all while providing quality shutdown defense in a top-four role. Overall, the blueliner has four goals, 13 assists, 39 shots on net, 85 blocked shots and a plus-20 rating through 37 outings.

John Carlson D | ANA
Capitals' John Carlson: Supplies helper in Detroit
Carlson posted a primary assist and a plus-2 rating in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Red Wings on Sunday.
Carlson contributed an even-strength helper on Ethen Frank's second marker of the game to tie the score at 2-2 midway through the final stanza. The 35-year-old Carlson has now registered a goal and five points over his last five contests from his usual top-pairing role. The 2008 first-round selection is on pace for 68 points, which would be his most since 2021-22, when he produced 17 goals and 54 assists across 78 regular-season games.

The young defenseman set up Lucas Raymond's goal with the man advantage to tie the game at 1-1 during the middle frame. Sandin-Pellikka now has two goals and six helpers across his last 10 appearances, and he's up to 14 points (five on the power play) through 37 games overall in 2025-26.

Moritz Seider D | DET
Red Wings' Moritz Seider: Pots game-winner Sunday
Seider netted the game-winning goal on two shots, blocked four shots and went plus-1 in Sunday's 3-2 overtime win over the Capitals.
Seider logged a game-high 26:44 of ice time in this contest, and he sealed the game during the extra frame with a slap shot past Charlie Lindgren. Seider has two goals and five points across his last four games following a four-game dry spell. The right-shot blueliner is on pace for a career year, as he's tracking toward his first 60-point campaign in his sixth NHL season. Seider's durability is also extremely impressive -- he has yet to miss a game during his career.

Oilers' Alec Regula: Returning to action Sunday
Regula (illness) will return to the lineup for Sunday's game against the Golden Knights, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Cam Fowler D | STL
Blues' Cam Fowler: Earns 400th career assist
Fowler logged an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Panthers.
The helper was the 400th of Fowler's career. The 34-year-old defenseman's contributions on offense have been spotty this season -- he's picked up just two helpers over his last 13 games. For the year, he's at 13 points, 54 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 37 appearances, though he still sees prominent minutes for the Blues.

Justin Faulk D | DET
Blues' Justin Faulk: Beats buzzer in second period
Faulk scored a goal on four shots, added two PIM and blocked four shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Panthers.
Faulk has three goals and three assists over his last eight games. His tally in the final second of the second period Saturday was the eventual game-winner. The defenseman is having a strong bounce-back year with nine goals, 10 assists, 69 shots on net, 74 blocked shots, 31 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 37 appearances. Faulk has missed the 40-point mark in consecutive seasons, but he's on track to reach it this year if he stays healthy.
