  • Alec Regula D | EDM

Oilers' Alec Regula: Returning to action Sunday

Regula (illness) will return to the lineup for Sunday's game against the Golden Knights, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Regula missed the last two games due to an illness, but he's been cleared to return in the second half of a back-to-back set. Over 20 appearances this year, Regula has picked up two assists, 26 blocked shots, 17 PIM and 14 hits while averaging 15:16 of ice time.

  • Cam Fowler D | STL

Blues' Cam Fowler: Earns 400th career assist

Fowler logged an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Panthers.

The helper was the 400th of Fowler's career. The 34-year-old defenseman's contributions on offense have been spotty this season -- he's picked up just two helpers over his last 13 games. For the year, he's at 13 points, 54 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and a minus-12 rating over 37 appearances, though he still sees prominent minutes for the Blues.

  • Justin Faulk D | DET

Blues' Justin Faulk: Beats buzzer in second period

Faulk scored a goal on four shots, added two PIM and blocked four shots in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Panthers.

Faulk has three goals and three assists over his last eight games. His tally in the final second of the second period Saturday was the eventual game-winner. The defenseman is having a strong bounce-back year with nine goals, 10 assists, 69 shots on net, 74 blocked shots, 31 hits, 22 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 37 appearances. Faulk has missed the 40-point mark in consecutive seasons, but he's on track to reach it this year if he stays healthy.

  • Alex Vlasic D | CHI

Blackhawks' Alex Vlasic: Notches assist in loss

Vlasic logged an assist in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Senators.

Vlasic snapped a 13-game point drought with the helper. In that span, he went minus-10 with 12 shots on net and 21 blocked shots. Vlasic's pivot to focus on defense this year has sapped the offense out of his game -- he's at six points with 32 shots on net, 55 blocks and a minus-12 rating over 34 appearances. Vlasic still sees top-four minutes, but he'll have a tough time matching his 30-point output from 82 contests a year ago.

  • Wild's Jake Middleton: Collects assist in return

Middleton posted an assist and two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Oilers.

Middleton missed five games with an upper-body injury. Since he exited the lineup following a Dec. 8 injury versus the Kraken, the Wild bolstered their blue line by trading for Quinn Hughes. That likely means Middleton will be confined to the third pairing moving forward, limiting his already low fantasy upside. The defenseman is at just seven assists with 22 shots on net, 43 hits, 43 blocked shots, 37 PIM and a plus-2 rating over 29 appearances. Middleton is likely to miss the 20-point mark for the first time in three years.

  • Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Nets opening goal in win

Dahlin scored a power-play goal and fired five shots on net in Saturday's 3-2 shootout win over the Islanders.

Dahlin sparked the Sabres' offense with a power-play tally less than two minutes into regulation. With the twine finder, the 25-year-old blueliner is up to four goals, 27 points, 86 shots on net and 36 blocks across 31 games this season. After a stretch of offensive inconsistencies throughout November, Dahlin has three goals and 10 points in his last seven games. He is well on track to reach the 50-plus point mark for the fifth consecutive season and remains a high-level defenseman who averages over a block per game.

  • Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Considered day-to-day

Werenski (lower body) is day-to-day, according to Aaron Portzline of The Athletic on Sunday.

Werenski might miss Monday's matchup against the Kings, but he could be back shortly after the holiday break. He didn't suffer any broken bones after blocking a shot late in Saturday's 4-3 loss to Anaheim. Werenski has amassed 14 goals, 40 points, 132 shots on net and 52 blocked shots across 35 appearances this season.

  • Avalanche's Ilya Solovyov: Back from conditioning loan

Solovyov was recalled from his conditioning stint with AHL Colorado on Sunday.

Solovyov didn't post a point in three minor-league appearances during his conditioning loan. He also hasn't reached the scoresheet in nine NHL outings this season while posting nine shots on net, 15 blocked shots and 11 hits.

  • Lian Bichsel D | DAL

Stars' Lian Bichsel: Yet to begin rehab

Bichsel (lower body) is targeting a return date just before or after the Olympic break, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports Sunday.

Bichsel is still not weight-bearing and has yet to begin rehabbing his lower-body injury, suffered Nov. 30. The 21-year-old was placed on long-term injured reserve and is still a ways out from a return. Bichsel had one goal and two assists with a plus-6 rating in 26 games prior to his injury.

  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Nabs helper in return

Chabot recorded an assist with two shots on net, a blocked shot and a minus-1 rating in Saturday's 6-4 win over Chicago.

Returning to the lineup after a 12-game absence due to an upper-body injury, Chabot immediately slotted back in on Ottawa's top pairing with Jake Sanderson and handled duties on the point of the second power-play unit. Chabot has only been healthy enough to play 19 games so far in 2025-26, but the 28-year-old defenseman has been productive when available with two goals and 11 points, along with 37 blocked shots, 24 shots on net and a plus-4 rating.
