Tony DeAngelo D | NYI
Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Gathers assist in loss
DeAngelo logged an assist and two shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins.
DeAngelo has four helpers over his last eight games. The 30-year-old's scoring potential has been significantly hindered by the immediate emergence of rookie phenom Matthew Schaefer, which has left DeAngelo on the second power-play unit. Overall, DeAngelo has a goal, eight assists, 43 shots on net, 19 blocked shots, 12 hits and 25 PIM through 24 appearances. He should still push for a 30-point campaign as long as he stays in the lineup regularly, which doesn't appear to be an issue.

Olli Maatta D | CGY
Mammoth's Olli Maatta: Lands on IR
Maatta (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday.
Maatta wasn't an option for Wednesday's 4-3 loss to Montreal due to an injury. He has played in only one of Utah's last nine games, but it is unclear how much of that stretch was due to being a healthy scratch. In any event, he will likely miss additional time after being moved to injured reserve. Maatta has one assist, seven shots on goal and 12 blocked shots across 16 appearances this season.

Matthew Robertson D | NYR
Rangers' Matthew Robertson: Picks up helper Wednesday
Robertson recorded an assist, three hits, six blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.
This was a good performance from Robertson, and not just because he got on the scoresheet for the first time since Oct. 18. The defenseman's six blocks were a season high, and he finished with a positive rating for the first time all year. The 24-year-old has two points, 13 shots on net, 27 hits, 25 blocks and a minus-5 rating through 16 appearances in a third-pairing role this season.

Both points came in the second period, sparking a Flyers' comeback from an early 2-0 deficit. The goal was Andrae's first of 2025-26, and while has has only five points on the season, they've all come in the last six games as the 23-year-old settles into a top-four role on the Philly blue line.

Shayne Gostisbehere D | CAR
Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Two points against Blueshirts
Gostisbehere scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Rangers.
The veteran blueliner got the Hurricanes on the board early in the second period before having a hand in a Seth Jarvis tally in the third. Gostisbehere has been productive since returning to the lineup from injury in mid-November. Over the last eight games, he's racked up two goals and nine points, with both goals plus an assist coming on the power play.

Matthew Schaefer D | NYI
Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: Ends point drought Wednesday
Schaefer recorded an assist and fired seven shots on goal in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Bruins.
Schaefer picked up the secondary helper on a goal by Mathew Barzal. With the apple, the 18-year-old Schaefer has nine assists, 16 points, 71 shots on goal and 27 blocks through 24 games this season. Wednesday's performance helped him end a five-game point drought, and he collected his first assist since Nov. 13. Despite the recent lack of points, the No. 1 overall selection from the 2025 NHL Entry Draft is at the heart of the Calder Trophy conversation alongside Montreal's Ivan Demidov. Schaefer has developed a well-rounded campaign with a plethora of shots. The rookie blueliner is a must-start in fantasy thanks to his elite upside.
