Tyler Kleven D | OTT
Senators' Tyler Kleven: First point of season
Kleven supplied an assist and added five PIM in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
Kleven dropped the mitts with Joe Veleno in the first period. In the third, Kleven helped out on Tim Stutzle's go-ahead tally. Through 11 outings, Kleven has 12 shots on net, 21 blocked shots, 17 hits, nine PIM and a minus-5 rating while holding down a spot on the Senators' third pairing. He had just 10 points in 79 regular-season contests last year, so don't expect a significant uptick in his offense in 2025-26.

Christopher Tanev D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Discharged and headed home
Tanev (upper body) was evaluated overnight, discharged and will head home to Toronto, the Maple Leafs announced Sunday.
In a scary play, Tanev was injured Saturday after a collision with Matvei Michkov, and the defenseman had to be stretchered off the ice. It remains to be seen how much time, if any, the 35-year-old will miss. Tanev has two assists in eight appearances this year.

Roman Josi D | NSH
Predators' Roman Josi: Moves to IR
Josi (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Sunday.
Josi remains week-to-week and has already missed the last five games. It's still unclear when he will be available to return to the lineup. He has accounted for one goal, four assists, 19 shots on net, 15 blocked shots and four hits across eight appearances this season. Josi's move to the IR list opens a roster spot for the Predators to potentially recall a forward from AHL Milwaukee to replace Cole Smith (upper body).

Bowen Byram D | BUF
Sabres' Bowen Byram: Nets shootout winner
Byram recorded the winning tally in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Capitals.
While Byram wasn't able to find the scoresheet in regulation or overtime, he scored the lone point of the shootout to send Buffalo home with its first win since Oct. 24. Even though Byram wasn't credited with a point Saturday, he still has four points across his last six games. His value in fantasy is best served for deeper leagues, but the 24-year-old defenseman has steadily improved his offensive numbers each season, making him a name to keep an eye on in all formats.
-
Justin Faulk D | DET
Blues' Justin Faulk: Nets goal vs. Columbus
Faulk scored a goal, recorded a hit and blocked three shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Blue Jackets.
Faulk found the back of the net for the first time since Oct. 21, when he scored a goal in a 2-1 loss to the Kings. The defenseman has notched only five points this season, and even though he plays on the top power-play unit, Faulk ultimately doesn't carry much fantasy upside in most formats. He has five points (two goals, three assists) in 12 games.
-
Zach Werenski D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski: Third straight two-point effort
Werenski recorded an even-strength goal and a power-play assist in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blues.
This was Werenski's third consecutive game with a goal and an assist, though only two of those six points have come on the power play. The star defenseman had only four points through eight games prior to this strong three-game stretch.
-
Jake Bean D | CGY
Flames' Jake Bean: Bags apple in loss
Bean registered an assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Predators.
The helper was Bean's first point of the season. The 27-year-old defenseman has played in 10 of the Flames' first 13 games and appears to have some job security as a left-shot defenseman while Zayne Parekh pushes Brayden Pachal for the other spot on the third pairing. Bean has added 11 shots on net, 18 blocked shots, four PIM and a minus-7 rating through 10 appearances. His lack of offense makes him an uninspiring option for fantasy.

Charlie McAvoy D | BOS
Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Adds two helpers Saturday
McAvoy registered two assists, two hits and three blocked shots in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Hurricanes.
McAvoy helped out on goals by Casey Mittelstadt and Viktor Arvidsson early in the third period. McAvoy earned his third multi-assist game in his last six outings. The veteran defenseman has yet to score a goal but has produced 10 helpers, 19 shots on net, 23 hits, 23 blocks, 22 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 14 appearances. He had a modest 23 points in 50 regular-season games in 2024-25 before a season-ending shoulder injury, but McAvoy looks to be all the way back in 2025-26.
-
Brandon Montour D | SEA
Kraken's Brandon Montour: Stays warm with goal
Montour scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers.
Montour has three goals and a helper over his last two games. The 31-year-old defenseman's tally in the second period was ultimately enough for the Kraken to force overtime for the second game in a row. Montour is up to three goals, eight points, 20 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 10 hits and a plus-6 rating across seven appearances. He should continue to be a strong source of offense in a top-four role with power-play usage.

Adam Fox D | NYR
Rangers' Adam Fox: Supplies pair of helpers
Fox registered two assists, two shots on goal and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Kraken.
Fox produced four helpers over four games during the Rangers' now-completed road trip out west. The 27-year-old defenseman continues to offer steady production from the back end, even amid the Rangers' ongoing scoring woes. He's at three goals, eight assists, 27 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating across 13 appearances. Fox's role is safe and fruitful, so fantasy managers should keep him in their lineups whenever the Blueshirts are on the schedule.
