Blue Jackets' Dysin Mayo: Recalled by Columbus
Mayo was recalled by the Blue Jackets on Thursday.
Mayo spent some time with the Blue Jackets last week, but he didn't appear in any games. He'll rejoin the NHL club to provide additional depth while Erik Gudbranson deals with a hip injury. Over five regular-season appearances with AHL Cleveland this year, Mayo has recorded four assists and four PIM.

Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Won't return Friday
Head coach Bruce Cassidy said Thursday that Hanifin (lower body) has resumed skating but won't play Friday against the Avalanche, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Cassidy said that Hanifin is getting closer to returning, but the defenseman will require at least one more game on the shelf due to his lower-body injury. While a timetable for his return isn't yet clear, it seems as though he'll be in the mix to suit up sometime in the first half of November.

Avalanche's Samuel Girard: Could play next weekend
Head coach Jared Bednar said Thursday that he hopes that Girard (upper body) can return to the lineup Nov. 8 versus Edmonton, Evan Rawal of the Denver Gazette reports.
Girard is currently on injured reserve after getting hurt in the second game of the season Oct. 9 against Utah. The defenseman is without a point in his two appearances this season.

Canadiens' David Reinbacher: Sent to AHL
Reinbacher (hand) was sent to AHL Laval on Thursday, per the AHL media site.
The Canadiens' fifth overall pick in 2023, Reinbacher broke his metacarpal bone in his hand and will now get into game shape in the minors. Reinbacher played only 10 regular-season games last year in Laval, tallying twice and adding three assists.

Shakir Mukhamadullin D | SJ
Sharks' Shakir Mukhamadullin: Returns to action Thursday
Mukhamadullin (upper body) was activated from injured reserve and will return to the lineup Thursday against New Jersey, per Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News.
Mukhamadullin played Opening Night and has missed the last nine games with the injury. He managed a pair of assists against Vegas in his only game, seeing just 12:45 of ice time. Look for Vincent Desharnais to come out of the lineup for Mukhamadullin.

Christian Kyrou D | PHI
Flyers' Christian Kyrou: Dealt to Philadelphia
Kyrou was acquired by the Flyers from Dallas in exchange for Samu Tuomaala on Thursday.
Kyrou was a second-round selection, 50th overall, in 2022. He has struggled offensively at the AHL level, picking up only 12 goals and 26 assists in 97 games across parts of three seasons, including no points in four games this season. It's possible that the change in scenery will help his development.

Islanders' Alexander Romanov: Returning to action Thursday
Romanov (upper body) will return to the lineup for Thursday's game against Carolina, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
Romanov was sidelined since mid-October due to his upper-body injury, but he's been cleared to return following a five-game absence. Over Romanov's first four appearances of the season, he recorded no points, 15 hits, 12 blocked shots, four PIM and a minus-3 rating while averaging 18:12 of ice time.

Flames' Zayne Parekh: Not playing Thursday
Parekh (illness) will miss Thursday's tilt in Ottawa, per Eric Francis of Sportsnet.
Parekh sat out the first two games of the season and had played in nine consecutive contests before Thursday. Look for Brayden Pachal to rejoin the lineup after being a healthy scratch in the last six games. Parekh has one assist in nine games this season and could return as early as Saturday in Nashville.

Adam Wilsby D | NSH
Predators' Adam Wilsby: Ruled out for Thursday's game
Wilsby (lower body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Flyers, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
Wilsby exited Tuesday's matchup against the Lightning due to his lower-body injury, and he'll be unavailable for at least one additional game. Nick Blankenburg will enter the Predators' lineup against Philadelphia, while Wilsby is considered day-to-day for now.

Stars' Oskar Back: Out of action Thursday
Back (upper body) will not be available Thursday in Tampa Bay, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
Back will miss his second straight game after missing the first eight contests of the season with an undisclosed injury. He potted a goal in his season debut Sunday in Nashville. Back should be considered day-to-day for now, and he could return as early as Saturday in Florida.
