Nick Leddy D | SJ
Sharks' Nick Leddy: Out for remainder of road trip
Leddy (upper body) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Devils and Sunday's clash in Minnesota, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.
Leddy sustained an upper-body injury during Thursday's game against the Rangers, and he'll be unavailable for at least two matchups. Sam Dickinson will take his place in the lineup against New Jersey, while Leddy will be re-evaluated when the Sharks return home.

Dmitry Orlov D | SJ
Sharks' Dmitry Orlov: Two more assists Thursday
Orlov dished two assists, one on the power play, in Thursday's 6-5 overtime win over the Rangers.
The veteran blueliner had a hand in two of Macklin Celebrini's three goals on the night. Orlov has had a strong start to the season, and while he's still looking for his first goal as a Shark, he's churned out seven assists in seven contests, three of them coming with the man advantage.

Erik Gudbranson D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Ready to rock
Gudbranson (lower body) will return to the lineup Friday versus Washington, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Gudbranson missed four games due to the injury. He is without a point in two games this season. Look for Jake Christiansen to come out of the lineup with the return of Gudbranson.

Charlie McAvoy D | BOS
Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Two helpers against Anaheim
McAvoy pocketed two assists, one on the power play, in Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Ducks.
The veteran blueliner had a hand in a Morgan Geekie tally in the second period and a David Pastrnak strike in the third. McAvoy is still looking for his first goal of the season, but he's quickly putting an injury-plagued 2024-25 behind him with six helpers in nine games, along with 17 shots on net, 16 blocked shots, 13 hits, 12 PIM and a minus-3 rating.

Jacob Trouba D | ANA
Ducks' Jacob Trouba: Impressive performance in win
Trouba produced a goal, an assist, five blocked shots, three hits, two shots on net and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 7-5 win over the Bruins.
The veteran defenseman came off the blue line to collect a rebound and slip it inside the near post on Joonas Korpisalo late in the second period, giving Trouba his first goal of the season. After being held without a point in his first five games of 2025-26, Trouba has broken out with four points and a plus-7 rating in the last two contests.

Ryan Pulock D | NYI
Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Pockets pair of assists
Pulock notched two assists, two shots on goal, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Red Wings.
This was Pulock's first multi-point effort of the season. The 31-year-old defenseman has earned all four of his helpers this year over the last four games. He's added six shots on net, 14 blocks, five hits and a plus-4 rating in seven outings. Pulock continues to be primarily a defensive force in a top-four role, but the quick emergence of Matthew Schaefer has cut off his access to playing in better scoring situations.
-
Tony DeAngelo D | NYI
Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: First multi-point effort of season
DeAngelo scored a goal and added an assist in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Red Wings.
DeAngelo opened the scoring at 2:05 of the first frame when he jumped into the rush, took a cross-ice pass and beat Cam Talbot blocker side. DeAngelo had gotten off to a quiet start this season with just one assist, and these points Thursday more than double his overall total (one goal, two assists; seven games).

Cody Ceci D | LA
Kings' Cody Ceci: Tallies against former team
Ceci scored a goal on three shots and blocked four shots in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over the Stars.
Ceci ended 2024-25 with the Stars, and his first goal of this season came against his former teammates. The 31-year-old blueliner has occupied a bottom-four role amid a rough start to the campaign for the Kings as a whole. Ceci has two points, 12 shots on net, 12 blocks, five hits and a minus-2 rating across eight appearances. His ceiling is likely around the 20-point mark, but he should be a steady source of blocks.
-
Matthew Schaefer D | NYI
Islanders' Matthew Schaefer: In record book already
Schaefer was plus-2 in 25:14 of ice time Thursday against the Red Wings.
Schaefer's season-opening point streak ended at six games (two goals, five assists). It was tied for the longest point streak to start a career by a defenseman in NHL history.

Lane Hutson D | MON
Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Supplies two helpers
Hutson posted two assists, three shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Oilers.
Hutson has gotten on the scoresheet in six of the last seven contests. He's produced one goal, seven assists, 14 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, six hits and a plus-2 rating through nine outings this season. Hutson's passing vision and creativity on offense are a positive, and he's holding his own in the defensive zone. While he's earned just one power-play point so far, his production in that area should pick up as long as he stays on the top unit.
