  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Finally gets first point of season

Bouchard picked up an assist in a 3-2 overtime win over the Senators on Tuesday.

Yes, there have been grumbles about his play, so this is a nice sign for Bouchard, who is coming off a 67-point campaign last year and an 82-point one the season before. Bouchard should rebound, but there may be a manager out there who gets impatient fast and drops him. You know what to do.

  • Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Pots goal in Tuesday's win

Mateychuk scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Stars.

Mateychuk's offense hasn't popped yet in 2025-26, but he has been on the top pairing in the last two games, replacing Dante Fabbro, who was moved down the lineup. The 21-year-old Mateychuk has two points, eight shots on net, eight blocked shots and a plus-1 rating through six appearances. Fantasy managers should at least keep an eye on the Manitoba native, as he has significant scoring potential, though the lack of a power-play role could limit his output.

  • Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Still seemingly battling injury

Lindholm was unable to play Tuesday versus the Panthers after being a game-time decision, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports.

Lindholm returned from a lower-body injury Saturday, but he's since sat out two consecutive games for the Bruins. That suggests the 31-year-old is still bothered by the issue, though his absence Sunday versus the Mammoth was labeled maintenance since it was the second half of a back-to-back. Getting Lindholm closer to 100 percent would be valuable for the Bruins' defense, and it's unclear when he'll be fit enough to play.

  • Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Sustains upper-body injury

Tanev (upper body) won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Devils.

Tanev was injured in a second-period collision with New Jersey's Dawson Mercer. The 35-year-old Tanev can be considered day-to-day until more information is available. The Maple Leafs' next two games are against the Sabres in a home-and-home set with a road contest Friday before Saturday's matchup in Toronto.

  • Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Not playing Tuesday

Gudbranson (lower body) won't play against Dallas on Tuesday, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site.

Gudbranson has resumed skating, but he will miss his fourth straight game. He hasn't earned a point in two appearances this season while contributing two shots on goal, four hits, one blocked shot and four PIM. Jake Christiansen has been playing due to Gudbranson's absence.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Out for remainder of trip

Gostisbehere (lower body) won't play against Colorado on Thursday and will sit out Saturday's matchup versus Dallas.

Gostisbehere was unavailable for Monday's 4-1 loss to Vegas and will miss the remainder of Carolina's road trip. However, it's unclear if he will be ready for next Tuesday's rematch against the Golden Knights. He has amassed one goal, six assists, six shots on net, eight blocked shots and two hits through five appearances this season. Charles-Alexis Legault will probably continue to play during Gostisbehere's absence.

  • Wild's Zach Bogosian: Moves to IR

Bogosian (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Minnesota recalled Hunter Haight in a corresponding move. Bogosian has already missed the last two games and won't be eligible to play in Wednesday's matchup against New Jersey. However, a timeline for his return remains unclear. Bogosian hasn't earned a point in five appearances this season while collecting five shots on goal, nine blocked shots and six hits.

  • Golden Knights' Shea Theodore: Hands out helper

Theodore notched an assist, three blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-1 win over the Hurricanes.

Theodore's offense has taken a significant hit to begin 2025-26, as he wasn't on the top power-play unit until Monday, when Mark Stone (wrist) was placed on injured reserve with a week-to-week designation. The Golden Knights have opted for five forwards on the top unit to begin the season and will likely go that way again once Stone is healthy. For now, Theodore will have a chance to catch up on offense, and if he's able to do so, he'll be a good sell-high candidate in fantasy. He's at two assists, 16 shots on net, 17 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through seven outings this season, a big disappointment after his career year of 57 points in 67 regular-season games in 2024-25.

  • Kaiden Guhle D | MON

Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: Moves to IR

Guhle (lower body) is listed on injured reserve, according to the NHL media site.

Guhle's IR designation doesn't come as a surprise, as Montreal relayed Saturday that the 23-year-old is slated to miss 4-6 weeks due to his lower-body injury. Jayden Struble, who was a healthy scratch for the first four games of the season, will likely be a fixture on the blue line for the duration of Guhle's absence.

  • Neal Pionk D | WPG

Jets' Neal Pionk: Adds power-play assist Monday

Pionk recorded a power-play assist and three blocked shots in Monday's 2-1 win over the Flames.

Pionk got on the scoresheet for the first time this season when he set up a Jonathan Toews goal in the third. The 30-year-old Pionk has a helper, 10 shots on net, four hits, 12 blocked shots, six PIM and a plus-3 rating through six contests. It's a little concerning that he's not piling up hits as aggressively as in previous seasons, as it's Pionk's physicality and all-around production that provide the bulk of his fantasy value.
