  • Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Returns to lineup Thursday

DeAngelo (lower body) will return to the lineup versus Toronto on Thursday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

DeAngelo sat out six games with the injury suffered March 24 versus Chicago. He has five goals and 28 assists with 67 blocked shots across 72 games this season. DeAngelo is expected to see second-unit power-play time versus the Maple Leafs.

  • Senators' Thomas Chabot: Ready to rock

Chabot (broken forearm) will return to the lineup versus Florida on Thursday, according to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.

Chabot was deemed to be out of action for 4-8 weeks after he underwent surgery March 26, but he had a phenomenal recovery and will suit up just two weeks after his surgery. Chabot has seven goals and 24 assists over 55 contests this season. He is expected to play alongside Jordan Spence as well as see time on the second power play unit.

  • Luke Hughes D | NJ

Devils' Luke Hughes: Done for season

Hughes (undisclosed) will undergo a procedure and will miss the remainder of the season, it was announced Thursday.

The Devils are out of the playoffs and with only four games remaining in the regular season, it was decided that Hughes would have the surgery and get a head start on being ready for training camp in September. Hughes ends the season with six goals and 29 assists, including 13 points on the power play, over 68 appearances in 2025-26, his worst performance in his three-year NHL career. Look for Hughes to have a better 2026-27 campaign, and he could surpass the 50-point mark, if he is able to stay healthy. Simon Nemec will replace Hughes on the top power-play unit for the remainder of the season.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Crosses 90-point mark

Bouchard logged two assists, including one on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.

Bouchard has five points over four games in April, including a trio of power-play assists. His effort Wednesday got him over the 90-point mark for the first time in his career. He's at 21 goals, 70 assists, 215 shots on net, 95 blocked shots and a plus-23 rating through 79 appearances. Bouchard is 11 points ahead of the Blue Jackets' Zach Werenski for the scoring lead among blueliners.

  • Cole Hutson D | WAS

    Capitals' Cole Hutson: Deposits empty-netter

Hutson scored an empty-net goal on two shots and added two hits in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Maple Leafs.

Hutson has netted two of his three goals into a vacant cage so far. The 19-year-old blueliner's instincts on offense are still apparent, as he's earned eight points, including five on the power play, over his first 11 outings. He's added 19 shots on net, 11 hits, four blocked shots and a minus-3 rating. Hutson continues to see sheltered minutes on the third pairing, but he looks ready to step into a larger role if necessary.

  • Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Produces two points Wednesday

Fehervary scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, blocked two shots and went plus-3 in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Maple Leafs.

It was a rare big game on offense for Fehervary, who helped out on a Dylan Strome goal in the first period before scoring one of his own in the second. Fehervary hadn't scored since Feb. 2 versus the Islanders, and he had just three helpers over 21 contests in between tallies. The defenseman is up to five goals and 25 points over 78 appearances, exactly matching his offensive production from 81 regular-season outings last year. He's added 71 shots on net, 106 hits, 174 blocked shots, 35 PIM and a plus-14 rating while filling a shutdown role in the Capitals' top four.

  • Adam Fox D | NYR

Rangers' Adam Fox: Collects two power-play points

Fox scored a goal and added an assist, both on the power play, in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Sabres.

Fox set up Alexis Lafreniere on the Rangers' first goal and then put them ahead 3-2 in the second period with a tally of his own. During an eight-game point streak, Fox has amassed four goals and 11 assists, with nine of those 15 points coming on the power play. He's up to nine goals, 52 points (24 on the power play), 84 shots on net, 72 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 52 appearances. Fox continues to operate as the Rangers' top blueliner and has been producing as such when healthy.

  • Maple Leafs' Brandon Carlo: Won't play Thursday

Carlo (lower body) won't be in the lineup Thursday versus the Islanders, Terry Koshan of The Toronto Sun reports.

Carlo was hurt Wednesday against the Capitals. The Maple Leafs will call up William Villeneuve to play Thursday in Carlo's absence. Carlo has just seven assists over 55 outings this season.

  • Maple Leafs' William Villeneuve: Getting another call-up

Villeneuve will be recalled from AHL Toronto prior to Thursday's game versus the Islanders, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

It's expected Villeneuve will make his NHL debut Thursday. He'll be on the NHL roster again just a day after his most recent demotion because Brandon Carlo (lower body) sustained an injury versus the Capitals on Wednesday.

  • Adam Jiricek D | STL

Blues' Adam Jiricek: Big start to OHL second round

Jiricek scored a goal and added three assists in OHL Brantford's 8-1 win over North Bay in Game 1 on Wednesday.

Jiricek has had two big games in the OHL postseason -- a five-point contest and Wednesday's four-point performance. He's gone scoreless in the Bulldogs' other three playoff games. Jiricek will need to improve his consistency, but he should have plenty of time to keep helping Brantford get offense from the blue line.
