Erik Gudbranson D | CLB
Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Leaves with upper-body injury
Gudbranson is being checked for an upper-body injury after leaving Saturday's game versus the Wild in the third period, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.
Gudbranson's status should be updated prior to Monday's game versus the Devils. The 33-year-old blueliner hasn't recorded a point in two appearances so far this season. If he's forced to miss time, Jake Christiansen is available to enter the lineup, though the Blue Jackets may want a right-shot defenseman available to fill the gap.

Drew Schock D | ANA
Ducks' Drew Schock: Two points in Friday's win
Schock scored a goal and added an assist in the University of Michigan's 5-1 win over Providence College on Friday.
Schock wasn't able to get on the scoresheet in Saturday's 3-1 win for the Wolverines. The 18-year-old defenseman has three points over his first three NCAA games after putting up a decent 37 points in 66 outings with the US NTDP and 17 points in 27 appearances during USHL play. There's offense in his game, but as a smaller defenseman, it could be tough for him to round out his game enough to help in the NHL eventually. The Wisconsin native was picked 101st overall by the Ducks in 2025.

Sean Durzi D | UTA
Mammoth's Sean Durzi: Hurt late Saturday
Durzi sustained an undisclosed injury late in Saturday's game versus the Predators, and head coach Andre Tourigny had no update on the defenseman's status after the contest, Cole Bagley of KSL Sports reports.
Durzi went down late in the game, and it's unclear what he hurt in the process. The 26-year-old defenseman had an assist for his first point of the season and added four PIM, two hits and two blocked shots prior to the injury. Should Durzi miss time, the Mammoth are likely to shift to using six defensemen -- Olli Maatta has dressed as a seventh blueliner for the first two games of the year. Nick DeSimone could also enter the lineup as a fellow right-shot defender to cover for Durzi.

Morgan Rielly D | TOR
Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly: Hot start continues
Rielly picked up two assists in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Detroit.
Rielly has had a hot start to the season with four points (one goal, three assists) in just two contests. This pace is obviously impossible to sustain, but it does hint at his confidence right now, which will deliver points. Rielly is tied with William Nylander for the team lead in points.

Kevin Bahl D | CGY
Flames' Kevin Bahl: Nabs helper Saturday
Bahl posted an assist in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Blues.
Bahl has collected three hits, one blocked shot and a plus-2 rating over three games this season. The 25-year-old defenseman fills a shutdown role alongside Rasmus Andersson on the Flames' second pairing. Bahl reached the 20-point mark for the first time in 2024-25 and exceeded 100 hits and blocked shots for the second year in a row, so he'll have some appeal in deep formats where physical blueliners have fantasy value.
-
Tyler Tucker D | STL
Blues' Tyler Tucker: Picks up helper Saturday
Tucker registered an assist and five PIM in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Flames.
Tucker's usage was limited to 8:19 of ice time, down from 15:26 in the season opener Thursday versus the Wild. For now, he's holding off Matt Kessel for a third-pairing job. Tucker brings some grit for the Blues after posting 81 hits, 39 blocked shots and 55 PIM in addition to a career-high seven points in 38 regular-season games last year.

Jaccob Slavin D | CAR
Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Sustains injury Saturday
Slavin is being evaluated for an undisclosed injury sustained in Saturday's game versus the Flyers, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.
Slavin came out of the game during the third period. The injury leaves him day-to-day ahead of Tuesday's contest in San Jose, which is the start of a six-game road trip out west for the Hurricanes. If Slavin misses time, Mike Reilly will enter the lineup.
-
Kris Letang D | PIT
Penguins' Kris Letang: Undergoing injury evaluation
Letang is being evaluated for an injury after playing just one shift in the third period of Saturday's game versus the Rangers, Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Letang's injury flew under the radar during the game, but it'll leave his status in doubt for the start of the Penguins' three-game road trip in California. That trip begins Tuesday in Anaheim. If Letang can't suit up, Harrison Brunicke will see more ice time while Matt Dumba would be the top candidate to enter the lineup.

Noah Hanifin D | LV
Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Remains out Saturday
Hanifin (undisclosed) won't play Saturday versus the Kraken, per SinBin.Vegas.
Hanifin will miss his second straight game due to an injury suffered late in the Golden Knights' season opener. The 28-year-old's status beyond Saturday has yet to be determined. He'll have a couple of days before Vegas is next in action in Calgary on Tuesday to conclude a three-game road trip. Ben Hutton remains in the lineup in Hanifin's stead.

Carson Soucy D | NYI
Rangers' Carson Soucy: Sustains upper-body injury
Soucy won't return to Saturday's clash against Pittsburgh because of an upper-body injury.
Soucy had one hit in 6:35 of ice time before exiting the game. He entered the campaign in a top-four capacity, though he doesn't have a regular spot with the man advantage. If he can't play Sunday versus Washington, then Matthew Robertson will probably make his season debut.
