Haydn Fleury D | WPG
Jets' Haydn Fleury: Suffers injury Saturday
Fleury sustained an injury to his kneecap while blocking a shot during Saturday's 3-2 victory over LA, per Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.
Fleury had three blocks and three hits in 11:42 of ice time Saturday. He had seven assists, six PIM, 48 hits and 56 blocks across 39 regular-season appearances with the Jets in 2024-25. The severity of Fleury's kneecap injury isn't known, but if he can't play Monday versus the Islanders, then Colin Miller will probably draw into the lineup.

Mikey Anderson D | LA
Kings' Mikey Anderson: Scores goal in loss
Anderson scored a goal on two shots, delivered one hit and had a plus-1 rating in 18:44 of ice time during Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Jets.
Anderson is the top left-shot defenseman on the Kings' depth chart following the departure of Vladislav Gavrikov in free agency, and he has the ice time to prove it. Anderson scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's loss after netting a career-high six tallies in the 2024-25 regular season. More known for his defensive acumen, the 26-year-old has lit the lamp 18 times over 348 regular-season outings during his seven-year NHL career.

Owen Power D | BUF
Sabres' Owen Power: Removed from IR
Power (illness) was activated from injured reserve Saturday.
Power could make his season debut in Saturday's matchup against Boston. He missed time during training camp due to a minor strain, which resulted in him starting the 2025-26 campaign on injured reserve, but he sat out Thursday's season opener versus the Rangers because of an illness. The 22-year-old defender had seven goals, 40 points, 139 shots on net and 109 blocked shots across 79 regular-season appearances in 2024-25.

Samuel Girard D | PIT
Avalanche's Samuel Girard: Considered week-to-week
Girard (upper body) is week-to-week, according to Conor McGahey of Altitude TV on Saturday.
Girard has supplied two shots on goal, three blocked shots and three hits in two games this season. The 27-year-old Girard will be replaced in Saturday's lineup against Dallas by Ilya Solovyov.

Jonas Brodin D | MIN
Wild's Jonas Brodin: Set to return
Brodin (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Brodin will likely return to the lineup against Columbus on Saturday, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic. The 32-year-old Brodin had four goals, 20 points, 71 shots on net and 104 blocked shots across 50 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. David Jiricek will probably be a healthy scratch in Saturday's contest because of Brodin's return.

Hampus Lindholm D | BOS
Bruins' Hampus Lindholm: Won't play Saturday
Lindholm (lower body) won't be in the lineup against Buffalo on Saturday, per Scott McLaughlin of WEEI.
Lindholm is day-to-day after being injured in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over Chicago. He didn't participate in Saturday's morning skate, but he should return to the ice for Sunday's session. If Lindholm doesn't return to action versus Tampa Bay on Monday, he is expected to accompany the Bruins on the team's three-game road trip, according to Andrew Fantucchio of Boston Hockey Now, which begins Thursday in Vegas. Jordan Harris will replace Lindholm in Saturday's lineup against the Sabres.

Erik Gustafsson D | DET
Red Wings' Erik Gustafsson: Sent to AHL
Gustafsson was loaned to AHL Grand Rapids on Saturday.
Gustafsson was a healthy scratch for Thursday's season opener against Montreal after clearing waivers. He had two goals and 16 assists, including nine points on the power play, in 60 regular-season appearances in 2024-25. The Red Wings activated veteran winger James van Riemsdyk (not injury related) in a corresponding move.

Henry Brzustewicz D | LA
Kings' Henry Brzustewicz: Massive showing Friday
Brzustewicz scored twice on 10 shots in OHL London's 6-1 win over Erie on Friday.
Brzustewicz, a defenseman, was a huge performer in this big win for the Knights. He was selected 31st overall in 2025 by the Kings, though his offense is still viewed as a work in progress. The 18-year-old blueliner has four points over five games this season after recording 42 points, 146 shots on net and 77 PIM in 67 regular-season outings a year ago.

Dmitry Kulikov D | FLA
Panthers' Dmitry Kulikov: Heads to injured reserve
Kulikov (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Kulikov was injured Thursday versus the Flyers and will now miss at least a week. Uvis Balinskis is slated to take Kulikov's place in the lineup initially. A corresponding roster move hasn't been made yet, and it's possible the Panthers will opt not to fill the spot to maintain some flexibility for now.

Dmitriy Simashev D | UTA
Mammoth's Dmitri Simashev: Gets two shots in debut
Simashev recorded two shots as Utah suffered a 2-1 loss to Colorado in his NHL debut Thursday.
Simashev also had a hit and a block in 14:25 of ice time. Although he was selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, Simashev isn't likely to be on the radar of many fantasy managers because he lacks offensive upside. The 20-year-old had just 16 points across 119 regular-season appearances with KHL Yaroslavl over the previous two campaigns. Simashev is on Utah's third pairing and doesn't have a role with the man advantage, which also doesn't put him in an optimal position to contribute offensively.
