  • Panthers' Tobias Bjornfot: Waived Saturday

Bjornfot was put on waivers by Florida on Saturday, per PuckPedia.

During the 2024-25 regular season, Bjornfot had three goals and 18 points in 50 outings with AHL Charlotte, while going without a point on 10 shots, 13 hits and 10 blocks across 14 appearances with Florida. The 24-year-old will be sent to the minors if he clears waivers, but he should be one of the Panthers' top call-up options.

  • Devils' Colton White: Placed on waivers

White was put on waivers by New Jersey on Saturday.

White will report to AHL Utica if he goes unclaimed. He had four goals, 21 points and 47 PIM across 61 regular-season appearances with the Devils' top minor-league club last year. The 28-year-old defender will probably spend most, if not all, of the upcoming campaign in the AHL.

  • Ethan Bear D | NYI

Islanders' Ethan Bear: Likely out for weeks

Bear is expected to be out for at least a few weeks due to his undisclosed injury, per PuckPedia on Saturday.

Bear would probably head to the minors to start the season, but because injured players are ineligible for reassignment, the 28-year-old might be placed on the Islanders' non-roster injured list instead. He had 10 goals and 46 points across 62 regular-season appearances with AHL Hershey last year.

  • Ryan Graves D | PIT

Penguins' Ryan Graves: Lands on waivers

Graves still has four seasons remaining on his six-year, $27 million contract, making it highly unlikely that another team will claim him. He also had only one goal, three assists, 39 shots on net, 73 blocked shots and 75 hits across 61 regular-season appearances with Pittsburgh in 2024-25.

  • Penguins' Alexander Alexeyev: Goes on waivers

Alexeyev was placed on waivers Saturday to be assigned to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Alexeyev didn't record a point in eight regular-season appearances with Washington in 2024-25 while posting seven shots on goal, 14 blocked shots and nine hits. Assuming he clears waivers, he will begin the 2025-26 campaign with Pittsburgh's top minor-league affiliate.

  • Sean Behrens D | COL

Behrens was recalled from AHL Colorado on Saturday,

Behrens is coming off a torn ACL that cost him the entire 2024-25 campaign. He is expected to start the season with AHL Colorado, but Behrens could make his NHL debut later in the season.

  • Alex Gagne D | COL

Avalanche's Alex Gagne: Recalled by Colorado

The Avalanche recalled Gagne from AHL Colorado on Saturday.

Gagne was recalled as the Avalanche are filling out their roster for their preseason finale in Dallas. He has yet to play at the NHL level and should see plenty of action this season with AHL Colorado.

  • Noah Dobson D | MON

Canadiens' Noah Dobson: Returns to the lineup Saturday

Dobson (groin) will be in the lineup versus Ottawa on Saturday, according to Patrick Friolet of RDS.ca.

Dobson will return to action in Montreal's final preseason game after leaving a matchup against Toronto on Sept. 25. He struggled in 2024-25 with the Islanders, earning only 39 regular-season points. After being acquired by the Canadiens in the offseason, the 25-year-old could bounce back with at least 55 points if he remains healthy.

  • Kaiden Guhle D | MON

Canadiens' Kaiden Guhle: Good to go

Guhle (groin) will be in the lineup for Saturday's preseason finale against Ottawa, per Patrick Friolet of RDS.

Guhle missed two exhibition games while nursing a groin injury, but he will get one final tune-up outing before the start of the 2025-25 campaign. He accounted for six goals, 18 points, 71 shots on net, 124 blocked shots and 104 hits across 55 regular-season appearances in 2024-25.
