Capobianco will likely begin the upcoming season with AHL Texas, where he had a very good campaign last year. The 28-year-old had seven goals and 43 assists in 64 regular-season outings along with a plus-25 rating. He did participate in one NHL game with Dallas in 2024-25, but Capobianco is a bit deep on the depth chart to start in the NHL this year.

Jones joined the Sabres after he wasn't tendered a qualifying offer by the Rangers over the offseason. The 24-year-old appeared in 46 games last season with New York, notching one goal and 10 assists in those outings. He will likely begin the upcoming season in the AHL.

Smith earned one goal, five assists, 27 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and 41 hits across 32 regular-season appearances with Dallas in 2024-25. The 36-year-old defender will need to move quickly to find a new home before the start of the 2025-26 campaign.

Lundmark moved to waivers Sunday to be assigned to AHL Syracuse.
Lundmark notched four goals and 14 points in 66 games with AHL Manitoba in the 2024-25 regular season. Assuming he clears, he will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2025-26 campaign with Tampa Bay's top minor-league affiliate.

Canadiens' Marc Del Gaizo: On waivers for AHL assignment
Del Gaizo was placed on waivers by the Canadiens for the purpose of assignment to AHL Laval, the team announced Sunday.
Del Gaizo was one of five Canadiens players to hit waivers on a roster cutdown day in Montreal. The 25-year-old inked a one-year, two-way deal with the Canadiens over the offseason and will begin his career with the Habs in the AHL. Del Gaizo spent the previous four seasons in the Predators' organization, recording two goals and nine points in 46 outings with Nashville last year.

Canadiens' Nate Clurman: On waivers for AHL assignment
Clurman was placed on waivers by the Canadiens for the purpose of assignment to AHL Laval, the team announced Sunday.
The 27-year-old signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Canadiens over the summer, and he'll begin his career with Montreal's organization at the AHL level. Clurman got into one game with Pittsburgh last year -- the only NHL action of his career so far. He had 11 points in 31 regular-season outings with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2024-25.

Santini was placed on waivers Sunday for the purpose of sending him to AHL Syracuse.
Santini contributed six goals and 17 points in 58 regular-season appearances with AHL Syracuse in 2024-25. He will probably spend most, if not all, of this campaign in the minors.

Dylan Samberg D | WPG
Jets' Dylan Samberg: Undergoing evaluation
Samberg sustained an apparent upper-body injury Saturday versus the Flames and will be evaluated in the coming days, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.
Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reported that Samberg took a hit from Ryan Lomberg that left the former favoring his left shoulder or arm. Samberg's potential absence could open the door for Logan Stanley or Haydn Fleury to play a larger role at the start of the season.
