  • Kraken's Ryan Lindgren: Dealing with eye injury

Lindgren is day-to-day with an eye injury, but head coach Lane Lambert expects the defenseman to be back with the team "in the near future," per Alison Lukan of the Kraken Hockey Network on Tuesday.

Lindgren took a puck to the face in Sunday's scrimmage, and his eye swelled up as a result. The 27-year-old skated on his own Tuesday and is making progress with his recovery, so he shouldn't be in danger of missing too much time. The Kraken signed Lindgren to a four-year, $18 million deal in free agency.

  • Golden Knights' Noah Hanifin: Good to go

Hanifin (undisclosed) will play in Tuesday's exhibition game versus the Kings, according to Hannah Kirkell of Vegas Hockey Now.

Hanifin is good to go after skipping Friday's practice for precautionary reasons. He accounted for 10 goals, 39 points, 145 shots on net and 106 blocked shots across 80 regular-season outings in 2024-25.

  • Golden Knights' Jeremy Lauzon: Sitting out Tuesday

Lauzon (undisclosed) won't play in Tuesday's preseason matchup against the Kings, per Hannah Kirkell of Vegas Hockey Now.

Lauzon will get some additional time to rest after leaving Friday's practice as a precaution. He had one assist, 25 shots on goal, 34 blocked shots and 127 hits in 28 regular-season appearances with Nashville last campaign. The Predators dealt the 28-year-old defender to the Golden Knights in the offseason.

  • Brent Burns D | COL

Avalanche's Brent Burns: Back at practice

Burns (undisclosed) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, per Brennan Vogt of Hockey Mountain High.

After tweaking something, Burns didn't take part in Saturday's practice and wasn't an option for either of Colorado's preseason games against Utah on Sunday. However, he has put the minor issue behind him. Burns signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Avalanche in the summer after earning six goals and 29 points in 82 regular-season outings for Carolina in 2024-25.

  • Nick Jensen D | OTT

Senators' Nick Jensen: Back to full participation

Jensen (hip) is not limited at practice but doesn't have a timeline to play in preseason games, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports Tuesday.

Jensen is still working his way back from offseason hip surgery, so the Sens are likely to take it slow when it comes to pushing him back into the lineup. As such, Jensen won't dress against Toronto on Tuesday, but the door remains open for him to play in Sunday's matchup against New Jersey. Regardless of when he plays in the preseason, Jensen looks set to be ready for Opening Night.

  • Tyler Kleven D | OTT

Senators' Tyler Kleven: Avoids serious injury

Kleven (undisclosed) is expected to return to practice in a few days, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports Tuesday.

Kleven's potential injury absence raised some alarm bells in Ottawa, considering the lack of experienced depth behind him on the Senators' blue line. While the Fargo native won't be ready for Tuesday's preseason clash with Toronto, his timeline suggests he might be an option versus New Jersey on Sunday.

  • Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Available for Thursday's game

Fehervary (knee) is an option to suit up in Thursday's exhibition matchup versus the Flyers, Sammi Silber of The Hockey News reports Tuesday.

Fehervary started training camp in a non-contact jersey for precautionary reasons, but he'll be good to go for Thursday's tune-up game. The left-shot blueliner underwent knee surgery in April to repair his meniscus, but that didn't faze the Capitals' brass, as Fehervary signed a seven-year, $42 million contract extension over the summer.

  • Cameron Reid D | NSH

    Predators' Cameron Reid: Still sidelined

Reid (upper body) isn't playing in Tuesday's home preseason matchup against the Lightning, per Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun.

Reid has been unable to participate in training camp due to his upper-body injury, and it's unclear if he's close to returning to full strength. Considering he has missed time, the 2025 first-round pick, No. 21 overall, could be sent back to OHL Kitchener once he's healthy.

  • Predators' Nicolas Hague: Not suiting up Tuesday

Hague (undisclosed) will not be available for Tuesday's home exhibition game versus Tampa Bay, according to Gabby Shirley of FanDuel Sports Network Florida & Sun.

Hague was injured Sunday against the Panthers after taking a hit in the second period. The 26-year-old defenseman wasn't able to return to the game, and there was no update on his status after the contest. Nashville's next preseason game is in Tampa Bay on Saturday.

  • Simon Benoit D | TOR

Maple Leafs' Simon Benoit: Not playing Tuesday

Benoit (upper body) will not suit up for Tuesday's home preseason game versus the Senators.

Benoit has been dealing with an upper-body injury through the early portion of training camp, and it remains to be seen when he'll be good to go. Toronto's next exhibition contest is Thursday in Montreal.
