  • Flyers' Hunter McDonald: Sent to Lehigh Valley

McDonald was loaned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Thursday.

A day after he was called up by the Flyers, McDonald will return to the minors, likely so he'll be available for the AHL club's weekend series against Hershey. McDonald has yet to appear in an NHL game and will likely remain with Lehigh Valley once the Flyers resume play.

  • Oliver Bonk D | PHI

Flyers' Oliver Bonk: Returns to AHL

Bonk was reassigned to AHL Lehigh Valley on Thursday.

Bonk was up with the Flyers to practice with the team during the Olympic break, and he's returning to the minors without making his NHL debut. The 21-year-old has two goals and six points in 22 outings with Lehigh Valley in 2025-26.

  • Quinn Hughes D | MIN

Wild's Quinn Hughes: Two points vs. Sweden

Hughes scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in USA's 2-1 win over Sweden in the Olympic quarterfinals Wednesday.

Hughes entered the Olympics on a 10-game point streak in the NHL and hasn't slowed down while donning the Stars and Stripes jersey, tallying six points (one goal and five assists). He co-leads Team USA in scoring alongside Auston Matthews, who has three goals and three assists to his name.

  • Alec Regula D | EDM

Oilers' Alec Regula: Set for conditioning stint

Regula was assigned to AHL Bakersfield on a conditioning stint Wednesday.

Regula will get up to two weeks to get some game action with the Condors. Prior to the Olympic break, the 25-year-old defenseman was scratched for 11 of 12 contests. He has three assists and a minus-16 rating over 29 appearances this season, so he could have a tough time getting into the Oilers' lineup if the team's blue line stays healthy.

  • Lightning's Victor Hedman: Sustains lower-body injury

Hedman isn't getting ice time for Sweden against Team USA in Wednesday's quarterfinals game because of a lower-body injury, per Pierre LeBrun of TSN.

Hedman sustained the injury during the pregame warmups. He still dressed for the game as the seventh defenseman, but it seems he won't get any shifts. Hedman went into Wednesday's action with a goal and an assist in four appearances with Sweden in the 2026 Olympics. He also has 13 assists across 21 outings with Tampa Bay in 2025-26. If Sweden wins against the United States, then the Swedish team will play Friday in the semifinals.

  • Kings' Mikey Anderson: Slated to play after Olympic break

Anderson (upper body) should be available once the Olympic break is over, Anthony Collazo of MayorsManor.com reports Wednesday.

The Kings will resume their schedule next Wednesday against Vegas. While it looks like Anderson will draw back into the lineup for that game, he needs to be activated off injured reserve before that can happen. The 26-year-old has two goals, nine points, 14 PIM, 59 hits and 77 blocks in 54 appearances this season. Jacob Moverare will probably be a healthy scratch versus the Golden Knights if Anderson is back in the lineup.

  • Ian Moore D | ANA

Ducks' Ian Moore: Heads to minors

Moore was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Wednesday, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.

Moore has two goals and nine points in 41 outings with the Ducks in 2025-26. Anaheim isn't scheduled to resume its season until next Wednesday versus Edmonton, so this is an opportunity for Moore to get in some work. It wouldn't be surprising if the 24-year-old defenseman was summoned before the Ducks' next game.

  • Nick Leddy D | SJ

Sharks' Nick Leddy: Called up Wednesday

Leddy was recalled from AHL San Jose on Wednesday.

Leddy has made 19 appearances for the NHL club this year, recording four assists, 26 blocked shots, six PIM and four hits while averaging 17:30 of ice time. He'll join the Sharks for practice during the final week of the Olympic break, but it's not yet clear whether he'll stick around once the NHL season resumes.

  • Lightning's Max Crozier: Set to miss extended time

The Lightning announced Wednesday that Crozier will miss approximately 10 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a core muscle injury.

Crozier made 34 appearances for the Lightning prior to the Olympic break, recording a goal, nine assists, 40 PIM, 38 hits and 31 blocked shots while averaging 16:00 of ice time. His return timetable signals that he'll likely be forced to miss at least the remainder of the regular season, and he'll likely also be sidelined for the start of the postseason. Whether he'll be available if the Lightning make a run in the playoffs remains to be seen.

  • Sam Rinzel D | CHI

    Blackhawks' Sam Rinzel: Recalled Wednesday

Rinzel was recalled by Chicago on Wednesday.

Wyatt Kaiser (lower body) was put on injured reserve, and Kevin Korchinski was summoned from the minors in corresponding moves. Rinzel has two goals, nine points, 30 PIM, 48 shots, 28 hits and 36 blocks in 31 outings in 2025-26. Rinzel might be in the lineup when Chicago's schedule resumes Feb. 26 in Nashville, especially after Kaiser was placed on IR. However, Korchinski is competing with Rinzel for the same spot.
