Colin Miller D | WPG
Jets' Colin Miller: Provides power-play helper
Miller notched a power-play assist in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Oilers.
Miller got a chance to fill a larger role Sunday with Josh Morrissey and Neal Pionk out of the lineup for rest. Prior to Sunday, Miller had been scratched for the previous three games. The 32-year-old has seen some power-play time recently when Pionk was out due to a lower-body injury. Overall, Miller has 15 points (two on the power play), 68 shots on net, 84 hits, 50 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 60 appearances this season. He may not be an every-game player in the postseason.

Jack Thompson D | VAN
Sharks' Jack Thompson: Suffers injury in Calgary
Thompson suffered an upper-body injury Sunday in a 5-2 loss to the Flames, per Max Miller of NHL.com.
Head coach Ryan Warsofsky did not have a postgame update on the severity of Thompson's injury. Sunday was the first game of a back-to-back set for San Jose, so Thompson's availability for Monday's divisional matchup against the Canucks is up in the air. There hasn't been much information with respect to the status of Vincent Desharnais (upper body), so if he and Thompson are unable to suit up Monday, the Sharks will have to bring up a blueliner from AHL San Jose under emergency conditions.

Brett Kulak D | COL
Oilers' Brett Kulak: Bags apple Sunday
Kulak notched an assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Jets.
Kulak set up Viktor Arvidsson's empty-net goal to seal the win. The 31-year-old Kulak has two helpers over his last three games as he works to shake off a 10-game point drought from March 18 to April 7. The defenseman has reached the 25-point mark for the first time in his career and has added 132 shots on net, 109 blocked shots and a minus-8 rating over 80 appearances. Given the Oilers' significant number of injuries on the blue line, Kulak is poised to play in all 82 games for the third year in a row.

Evan Bouchard D | EDM
Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Puts up assist in win
Bouchard logged an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Jets.
Bouchard continues to roll on offense with a goal and eight assists over seven outings in April. The Oilers lost another defenseman to injury when Troy Stecher (undisclosed) left Sunday's contest, so it's looking less likely for Bouchard to get any rest ahead of the playoffs. He looks set to play in all 82 games for the second time in his career. The 25-year-old has 14 goals, 53 assists, 231 shots on net, 107 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating over 80 appearances.

Rasmus Dahlin D | BUF
Sabres' Rasmus Dahlin: Dishes two assists in loss
Dahlin logged two assists and four shots on goal in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning.
Dahlin set up a power-play goal by Alex Tuch and an even-strength tally from Sam Lafferty, with both goals coming in the third period. This was Dahlin's fifth multi-point effort over the last seven games, a span in which he has four goals and seven helpers. The defenseman is up to 68 points (17 goals, 51 assists), 196 shots on net, 97 hits, 97 blocked shots, 54 PIM and a plus-12 rating over 71 appearances. That point total ranks fourth among all blueliners, so it's possible Dahlin gets a little Norris Trophy consideration, though he's far from a lock to be a finalist.

Connor Clifton D | PIT
Sabres' Connor Clifton: Finds twine Sunday
Clifton scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Sunday's 7-4 loss to the Lightning.
Clifton ended a five-game point drought with his first goal of the season. The defenseman had a run of five assists over six games from March 23 to April 1, but that's a fairly unprecedented stretch of success for him. Overall, he's at 15 points, 62 shots on net, 204 hits, 110 blocked shots, 45 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 71 appearances in 2024-25 while filling a bottom-four role.

Victor Hedman D | TB
Lightning's Victor Hedman: Garners assist in win
Hedman logged an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.
Hedman has three goals and seven assists over his last nine contests. The 34-year-old defenseman is one of nine blueliners in the league to exceed 60 points this season, putting up 64 points (15 goals, 49 assists) with 176 shots on net, 130 blocked shots and a plus-17 rating over 77 appearances. He's one of the most important players in the Lightning's lineup, but it's unclear if he'll be rested ahead of the playoffs, as Darren Raddysh's undisclosed injury Sunday leaves Tampa Bay with just six healthy blueliners.

Emil Martinsen Lilleberg D | TB
Lightning's Emil Lilleberg: First career goal is game-winner
Lilleberg scored a goal, logged two PIM and went plus-2 in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.
It took until his 111th game, but Lilleberg finally has his first NHL goal. He stretched the Lightning's lead to 5-2 at 16:45 of the second period, and that tally held up as the game-winner. It also snapped a seven-game point drought for the 24-year-old blueliner. He's been effective in his role as a physical defenseman in 2024-25, earning 19 points, 45 shots on net, 105 PIM, 113 hits, 59 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 74 appearances.
-
Troy Stecher D | TOR
Oilers' Troy Stecher: Sustains injury in Winnipeg
Stecher (undisclosed) departed Sunday's 4-1 win over the Jets in the third period and did not return, per Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic.
Nugent-Bowman also relayed that Stecher's undisclosed injury occurred when he fell to the ice awkwardly after being hit by Winnipeg's Dominic Toninato. An update on Stecher's status should surface before the Oilers host the Kings on Monday in the second half of a back-to-back.

Ryan McDonagh D | TB
Lightning's Ryan McDonagh: Lights lamp Sunday
McDonagh scored a goal in Sunday's 7-4 win over the Sabres.
McDonagh has two goals and six assists over his last 10 contests. The 35-year-old has continued to chip in offense from a top-four role despite rarely seeing power-play time. For the season, the defenseman is at four goals, 31 points, 77 shots on net, 151 blocked shots and an NHL-best plus-44 rating, which is also the best plus-minus rating of his career.
