  • Josh Manson D | COL

Avalanche's Josh Manson: Won't play Thursday

Manson (upper body) will not be in the lineup against Vancouver on Thursday, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports.

Manson looks doubtful to suit up in the final two games of the season, either against Los Angeles or Anaheim on Saturday or Sunday, respectively, though he hasn't been officially ruled out. While the Avs will be getting Samuel Girard (undisclosed) back, they will now be without Ryan Lindgren (upper body) versus Vancouver, which means that Keaton Middleton should be expected to remain in the lineup.

  • Avalanche's Samuel Girard: Returning against Canucks

Girard (undisclosed) will be in the lineup for Thursday's clash with Vancouver, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now reports.

Girard will be back in action following a four-game stint on the shelf due to his undisclosed injury. Despite having generated just one of his 23 points this season with the man advantage, Girard is expected to link up with the No. 2 power-play unit. Still, there isn't enough offensive upside here to make Girard a viable option in most fantasy formats.

  • Flyers' Travis Sanheim: Pair of points in win

Sanheim scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, blocked two shots and went plus-4 in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Rangers.

This was Sanheim's first multi-point effort since Dec. 7 in Boston. The defenseman has been limited to three points over 21 games since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, though he's added 26 hits, 38 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating in that span. He hasn't seen much of a bump on offense and hasn't gained power-play time since the Flyers fired head coach John Tortorella in late March. Sanheim's at 30 points, 129 shots on net, 164 blocks, 77 hits and a minus-5 rating over 78 appearances, but the lack of steady offense recently is a red flag for fantasy.

  • Lightning's Nick Perbix: Tallies goal Wednesday

Perbix scored a goal and blocked two shots in Wednesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs.

Perbix has two goals and three assists over his last 10 outings. The Lightning have mostly stuck to dressing seven defensemen lately, and Perbix has often been on the low end of the ice-time distribution, averaging 13:17 per game over his last 16 outings. The 26-year-old has earned 19 points, 62 shots on net, 66 blocked shots, 50 hits and a plus-8 rating through 70 appearances and has up to four games to achieve the 20-point mark for the third straight season.

  • Maple Leafs' Philippe Myers: Filling in for McCabe

Myers has played in three straight games after suiting up for Wednesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Lightning.

Myers has filled in while Jake McCabe (undisclosed) is sidelined by an injury. The 28-year-old Myers saw his playing time drop dramatically when the Maple Leafs traded for Brandon Carlo at the deadline. Myers has gone 10 games without a point, adding 12 shots on net, 17 hits, 10 blocked shots and nine PIM in that span. When Toronto is healthy, he'll be the seventh defenseman, so he's unlikely to play much in the playoffs. He's managed four points, 71 hits, 37 blocks and 42 shots on net over 32 appearances this season.

  • Blackhawks' Connor Murphy: Ruled out for Thursday's game

Murphy has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Boston due to an illness, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports.

Murphy hasn't missed a game since the start of February, but he'll be unavailable for at least one matchup due to his illness, and he should tentatively be considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's game against the Jets. Wyatt Kaiser (illness) has also been ruled out for Thursday's game, so Ethan Del Mastro and Louis Crevier will enter the lineup.

  • Wyatt Kaiser D | CHI

Blackhawks' Wyatt Kaiser: Won't play Thursday

Kaiser (illness) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Boston, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN Radio reports.

Kaiser didn't participate in Thursday's morning skate due to an illness, and he'll be unavailable for at least one game. Connor Murphy (illness) will also be sidelined, so Ethan Del Mastro and Louis Crevier will enter the lineup. Kaiser should tentatively be considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's game against Winnipeg.

  • Wyatt Kaiser D | CHI

Blackhawks' Wyatt Kaiser: Under the weather

Kaiser missed practice Thursday due to illness, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports, making him questionable to face the Bruins.

Kaiser's potential absence would likely see Louis Crevier step into a third-pairing role on the blue line. For his part, the 22-year-old Kaiser has generated four goals and four assists in 54 games with the Hawks while averaging 18:02 of ice time. Looking ahead to next season, Kaiser should be capable of playing in all 82 regular-season contests and could push for the 15-20 point range.

  • Bruins' Charlie McAvoy: Out for season

McAvoy (shoulder) will not return this season, Joe Haggerty of Boston Sports Journal reports Thursday.

McAvoy suffered the injury during the 4 Nations Face-Off in February and never returned to Boston's lineup. McAvoy ends the season with seven goals, 16 assists, 89 hits and 81 blocked shots over 50 regular-season games. He is expected to be fully recovered by the start of training camp in September.

  • Aaron Ekblad D | FLA

Panthers' Aaron Ekblad: Cleared to rejoin team

Ekblad (suspension) will be allowed to resume training with the Panthers, Colby Guy of The Palm Beach Post reports Thursday.

Ekblad won't be eligible to play until Game 3 in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but he should be on the ice with his teammates in the meantime. Prior to his suspension, the blueliner was finding his stride offensively with seven helpers in his last six games, including two with the man advantage.
