NHL Player News

  • Predators' Nicolas Hague: Remains out Tuesday

Hague (upper body) will not play Tuesday versus the Ducks, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Hague will miss a second straight game due to the injury. The 27-year-old defenseman's next chance to play is in Nashville's road-trip finale versus the Mammoth on Thursday.

  • Mammoth's MacKenzie Weegar: Slated to play Tuesday

Weegar (upper body) will be in the lineup Tuesday versus the Oilers.

Weegar missed one game due to the issue. The Mammoth look to be prepared to manage his minutes, as Nick DeSimone will dress as a seventh defenseman for this contest. Weegar is slated to be on the top pairing alongside Mikhail Sergachev.

  • Kevin Bahl D | CGY

Flames' Kevin Bahl: Exits Tuesday's game

Bahl sustained a lower-body injury and won't return to Tuesday's game versus the Stars.

Bahl was injured early in the first period and couldn't continue. It's unclear if he'll be able to shake off the injury in time to play Thursday in Colorado. If he can't, Brayden Pachal will likely enter the lineup.

  • Justin Faulk D | DET

Red Wings' Justin Faulk: Ready to rock

Faulk (lower body) will return to the lineup against Columbus on Tuesday, according to Ansar Khan of MLive.com.

Following a two-game absence, Faulk will replace Jacob Bernard-Docker in Tuesday's lineup. The 34-year-old Faulk has compiled 12 goals, 35 points, 131 shots on net, 125 blocked shots and 66 hits in 73 games this season between Detroit and St. Louis.

  • Roman Josi D | NSH

Predators' Roman Josi: Two more points Monday

Josi scored a goal on two shots and added a power-play assist in Monday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Kings.

Josi has a goal and four helpers over his last three games. The 35-year-old defenseman has earned three of his assists in that span with the man advantage. He'll continue seeing massive minutes as the Predators try to stay in the wild-card race. Josi has produced 53 points (23 on the power play), 174 shots on net, 99 blocked shots, 30 PIM and a minus-16 rating over 65 appearances this season.

  • Radko Gudas D | ANA

Ducks' Radko Gudas: No timeline to return

Gudas (lower body) remains without a clear recovery timeline but is "getting closer every day," according to head coach Joel Quenneville, Zach Cavanagh of The Sporting Tribune reports Tuesday.

Gudas won't be an option for at least Tuesday's clash with Nashville, and it also seems unlikely he'll be ready to play against the Sharks on Thursday, with Quenneville stating, "He gets in a practice or two with the guys, and he'll be... could be playing right after that." Based on that comment, it seems like Gudas could be an option versus Vancouver on Sunday, barring any setbacks.

  • Ducks' Pavel Mintyukov: Playing versus Preds

Mintyukov (lower body) will suit up against Nashville on Tuesday, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.

Mintyukov returns following a three-game stint on the shelf due to his lower-body issue. In his last 15 outings, the 22-year-old blueliner has managed just one goal, two assists and 22 shots while dishing out 29 blocks. With Mintyukov back, Olen Zellweger figures to land in the press box as a healthy scratch.

  • Cale Makar D | COL

Avalanche's Cale Makar: Set to miss more time

Makar (upper body) will likely miss a few more games, Corey Masisak of The Denver Post reports Tuesday.

Makar will miss his fourth straight game against St. Louis on Tuesday. He will probably sit out Thursday's matchup versus Calgary and Saturday's contest against Vegas. It's unclear when he will be ready to return to the lineup, but head coach Jared Bednar expects the 27-year-old blueliner to play before the end of the regular season. Makar has amassed 20 goals, 75 points, 192 shots on net and 118 blocked shots across 73 appearances this campaign.

  • Wild's Zach Bogosian: Sidelined for Tuesday's game

Bogosian (lower body) will not suit up at home versus Seattle on Tuesday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Jeff Petry will remain in the lineup Tuesday as a result of Bogosian's absence. The 35-year-old Bogosian's next chance to play will be in a likely preview of a first-round playoff series against the Stars on Thursday.

  • Tyler Myers D | DAL

Stars' Tyler Myers: Playing against Flames

Myers (undisclosed) will be in action versus Calgary on Tuesday, Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine reports.

Myers will return having missed the Stars' last three contests due to his undisclosed injury. In 68 games this year for the Stars and Canucks, the 36-year-old blueliner has found the back of the net just once, while chipping in nine helpers, so fantasy managers probably shouldn't be banking on him to produce much in the way of offense.
