Quinn Hughes D | MIN
Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Won't play Wednesday
Hughes (undisclosed) will not be in the lineup against the Ducks on Wednesday, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports.
Hughes missed six games in February due to an injury and now finds himself back on the shelf. In his three appearances since returning from that issue, the 25-year-old blueliner managed just one point to go with seven shots, two blocks and one hit. Without Hughes in action, Tyler Myers figures to move up to the No. 1 power-play unit.

Jordan Oesterle D | NSH
Bruins' Jordan Oesterle: Placed on waivers
Oesterle was put on waivers by Boston on Wednesday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Oesterle has a goal and six points over 22 appearances with Boston this season. He also has three goals and eight points across nine appearances with AHL Providence. Oesterle will presumably report to the minors if he goes unclaimed.

Noah Dobson D | MON
Islanders' Noah Dobson: First helper since return
Dobson logged an assist, three shots on goal, three hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Jets.
Dobson needed four games to get back on the scoresheet following his long-term lower-body injury. The defenseman has gone plus-3 with seven shots on net, five hits and eight blocked shots in that span. The 25-year-old is at 25 points, 150 shots on net, 89 blocked shots, 47 hits and a minus-5 rating through 50 outings in 2024-25 -- between the injury and the drop in offense from last year's career-best 70-point campaign, he's burned many a fantasy manager. Dobson and Tony DeAngelo are set to continue competing for power-play minutes, though the Islanders still rank last in the NHL with just an 11.8 percent conversion rate with the man advantage.

Erik Johnson D | COL
Flyers' Erik Johnson: Press box regular again
Johnson was scratched for the fifth game in a row in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Flames.
Johnson is clearly the seventh defenseman on the Flyers' roster and has spent large portions of the season as a healthy scratch. Pending any trades affecting the blue line, Johnson is poised to spend most of the rest of the campaign as a scratch as well. He has just three points with 14 shots on net, 40 hits, 14 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 22 appearances.

Brayden Pachal D | CGY
Flames' Brayden Pachal: Puts end to point drought
Pachal recorded an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Flyers.
Pachal snapped a 13-game point drought with the helper. He was a healthy scratch versus the Hurricanes on Sunday, which apparently served as a wake-up call for the 25-year-old blueliner. He's still not a great option for fantasy considering he has seven points, 48 shots on net, 131 hits, 80 PIM, 70 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 60 appearances in a third-pairing role.

Jalen Chatfield D | CAR
Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: Picks up helper in win
Chatfield notched an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Red Wings.
Chatfield ended a five-game point drought when he set up a Jordan Martinook tally in the first period. With the Hurricanes, Chatfield has emerged as a reliable shutdown defender, though he doesn't tend to rack up a lot of non-scoring production. He's at 14 points, 90 shots on net, 55 hits, 50 blocked shots, 26 PIM and a plus-17 rating over 62 appearances, well behind the pace that saw him put up 22 points across 72 regular-season outings in 2023-24.

Parker Wotherspoon D | PIT
Bruins' Parker Wotherspoon: Snags assist in loss
Wotherspoon notched an assist and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Predators.
Wotherspoon assisted on Jordan Oesterle's tally in the second period. Those two blueliners have largely been in competition with each other for playing time in the absence of Charlie McAvoy (shoulder), but the Bruins are also doing a fair amount of shuffling of their depth players, which could lead to both Wotherspoon and Oesterle being in the lineup on occasion. For the season, Wotherspoon has a modest four points -- including two helpers over the last four games -- with 30 shots on net, 46 hits, 49 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 36 appearances this season.
-
Ryan Pulock D | NYI
Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Finds back of net against Winnipeg
Pulock scored a goal while adding two shots, two hits and four blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Jets.
Pulock found the twine for the first time since Jan. 18, a game in which he recorded a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over the Sharks. Pulock has four goals on the season, but he's far from being a consistent fantasy performer. He has only 18 points (four goals, 14 assists) across 54 games this season.
-
MacKenzie Weegar D | UTA
Flames' MacKenzie Weegar: Two points in Philly
Weegar scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Flyers.
The 31-year-old blueliner delivered his first multi-point performance in a month while snapping a 12-game goal drought, flipping a shot past a stickless Ivan Fedotov late in the second period before having a hand in Matthew Coronato's empty-netter in the third. Weegar predictably hasn't been able to repeat his career-best 20 goals from 2023-24, but he's still been productive and has racked up 10 points over 11 contests since the beginning of February.
-
Josh Morrissey D | WPG
Jets' Josh Morrissey: Two power-play points Tuesday
Morrissey recorded a power-play goal and added a power-play assist in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.
Morrissey has notched three points over his five appearances since the 4 Nations break, and the 29-year-old continues to be a reliable offensive weapon for the Jets out of the blue line. He's on the verge of recording a fourth straight campaign with double-digit goals, and if he stays injury-free, he might reach the 60-point plateau for the third straight season.
