Will Borgen D | NYR
Rangers' Will Borgen: Scores shortie Monday
Borgen scored a shorthanded goal, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Monday's 4-0 win over the Islanders.
Borgen ended an 11-game goal drought with his tally late in the first period. The 28-year-old isn't known for his offense, but four points over his last 13 games makes for decent production from a shutdown defenseman. Overall, he's at nine points, 59 shots on net, 103 hits, 91 blocked shots, 17 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 63 appearances between the Rangers and the Kraken this season.

Martin Fehervary D | WAS
Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Two-point effort Monday
Fehervary scored a goal on two shots, added an assist and blocked five shots in Monday's 5-4 shootout win over the Senators.
Fehervary has two multi-point efforts over his last six games, but he's been held off the scoresheet in the other four contests in that span. The 25-year-old is not a steady source of offense, instead filling a shutdown role on the Capitals' blue line. For the season, he has matched his career high from 2021-22 with 17 points (three goals, 14 assists) while adding 58 shots on net, 111 hits, 122 blocks and a plus-12 rating over 61 appearances.

Seth Jones D | FLA
Panthers' Seth Jones: All-around showing in Florida debut
Jones fired three shots on goal, blocked two shots and provided a hit during his Florida debut in Monday's 2-1 win against Tampa Bay.
While Jones was held off the scoresheet in his first game with the Panthers, he posted a solid performance on both sides of the ice. He saw 22:56 TOI in a top-four pairing with Niko Mikkola. The 30-year-old Jones has 27 points, 84 shots on net and 85 blocks in 43 games this season. The newly-acquired blueliner from Chicago is capable of quarterbacking a power-play unit and has 15 points with the man advantage this season. However, Florida elected to stick with veteran Aaron Ekblad as their top power-play option on the blueline in Jones' debut. Until Ekblad shows signs of struggling on the power play, we may see Jones as a secondary option with a man advantage. Regardless, Jones should see an uptick in fantasy value now that he's playing alongside the reigning champs.

Brett Kulak D | COL
Oilers' Brett Kulak: Expected back Tuesday
Kulak (illness) is slated to play versus the Ducks on Tuesday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
Kulak was absent from Monday's practice but appears to have recovered from his illness ahead of Tuesday's tilt. The defenseman has already set new career highs in goals (seven), points (21) and average ice time (20:06) with games still remaining. With Kulak healthy, Cam Dineen and Troy Stecher are set to serve as healthy scratches.

Darren Raddysh D | TB
Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Plates helper Monday
Raddysh dished an assist and took two shots on net in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Panthers.
Raddysh's helper was the primary pass to Brayden Point for Tampa's lone goal of the night. The 29-year-old Raddysh is up to 21 assists, 24 points and 82 shots on target in 52 games this season. Monday's assist ended a six-game scoreless drought for the blueliner. He is near the pace needed to post a new career best in points (33). Although his latest helper was recorded at even strength, it certainly wouldn't hurt his pursuit of a new offensive career high if he was leaned on with the man advantage like he was Monday -- he had 6:54 of ice time on the power play.

Owen Power D | BUF
Sabres' Owen Power: Compiles counting stats in loss
Power fired two shots on goal, blocked three shots and recorded one hit in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
Power remains one of the most valuable defensemen on the Sabres, regularly filling up the stat sheet even when he's not scoring. He's failed to log a point in three consecutive games, but it was preceded by a stretch of points in six of seven games, so there's nothing to worry about with Power. He has 31 points (six goals) through 59 appearances in 2024-25, putting him on pace to shatter his career best in points (35) in his young career. The 22-year-old remains a good fantasy option.
-
Bowen Byram D | BUF
Sabres' Bowen Byram: Contributes positively in defeat
Byram held a plus-2 rating and recorded one shot on goal in 24:59 of ice time in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Canadiens.
Byram's streak of futility has reached five games, and there are some concerns that perhaps the 23-year-old, who's never appeared in more than the 59 NHL games he has this season, could be wearing down. However, Byram has still usually been contributing positively to games, like Monday when he was a plus-2, and no point drought of his has lasted longer than five games this season. Still playing on the left side of Rasmus Dahlin and on the power play, expect his slump to end soon.

Travis Hamonic D | DET
Senators' Travis Hamonic: Shows physicality in loss
Hamonic registered one shot on goal and two hits in 11:35 of ice time during Monday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Capitals.
Hamonic threw his 6-foot frame around Monday, registering the only two hits that came from Ottawa's defensive corps. However, the 34-year-old has yet to record a point since a lower-body injury kept him out for most of January, and he has just three points in 49 games this year. With Ottawa's defensive minutes distribution leaving little for the third pair consisting of Hamonic and Nikolas Matinpalo, the potential for much fantasy value is not there.
-
Lane Hutson D | MON
Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Point streak at five games
Hutson pocketed two power-play assists in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sabres.
Both points came in the first period as Montreal surged to a 3-0 lead that the team nearly squandered. Hutson has gotten onto the scoresheet in five straight games since play resumed following the 4 Nations Face-Off, and the 21-year-old blueliner continues to build on a breakout rookie campaign that has seen him amass four goals and 48 points through 61 appearances.
-
Mike Matheson D | MON
Canadiens' Mike Matheson: Two points including OT winner
Matheson scored the game-winning goal in overtime and added a shorthanded assist in Monday's 4-3 victory over Buffalo.
His shot from the top of the faceoff circle 81 seconds into OT handcuffed James Reimer and gave the Habs their fifth straight win. It was Matheson's first GWG of the season and his first multi-point performance since Jan. 14. Although the 31-year-old has ceded his spot as the top offensive threat on the Montreal blue line to Lane Hutson, Matheson is still on track for a solid season -- he has five goals and 28 points through 59 appearances.
