Sean Durzi D | UTA
Hockey Club's Sean Durzi: Earns helper in return
Durzi logged an assist, four shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Kings.
Durzi missed over four months due to shoulder surgery. The 26-year-old blueliner saw 21:37 of ice time in his return to action, and he helped out on Barrett Hayton's third goal of the contest. Durzi has three helpers, seven shots on net, 15 blocked shots, seven PIM and a plus-2 rating through five appearances this season. He could eventually be a candidate for power-play time, but it doesn't appear he'll be in the mix for that role right off the bat following his lengthy absence. He can still add a scoring touch and a physical edge, so Durzi is a player to watch in deeper formats.

Jordan Spence D | OTT
Kings' Jordan Spence: Hands out assist Saturday
Spence notched an assist and two blocked shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.
Spence snapped a six-game point drought with the helper. The 23-year-old saw 12:19 of ice time -- it's his second consecutive game in a reduced role, and that may not change if the Kings continue to dress seven defensemen, as Brandt Clarke will push for more than the 5:15 he saw in Saturday's contest. Spence has had flashes of success in his second full NHL campaign, racking up 18 points, 57 shots on net, 61 blocked shots, 54 hits and a plus-15 rating over 53 appearances despite mainly featuring in a bottom-four role.

Joel Edmundson D | LA
Kings' Joel Edmundson: Contributes two assists
Edmundson notched two assists, two shots on goal, two hits, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.
Deuces were wild on Edmundson's stat line, though only the helpers were out of place compared to his usual production. He ended an 11-game point drought when he assisted on Drew Doughty's first-period marker. Edmundson also had a hand in Alex Laferriere's goal in the second. Edmundson is enjoying a fairly strong campaign with 13 points, 63 shots on net, 77 hits, 77 blocked shots and a plus-18 rating through 50 appearances. He's reached the 20-point mark just once in his 10-year career, and while he may fall short of it again in 2024-25, he has displayed a level of performance near the high end of his abilities.

Mikey Anderson D | LA
Kings' Mikey Anderson: Deposits empty-netter in return
Anderson scored an empty-net goal on two shots, added three hits and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.
Anderson missed four games due to a finger injury. The absence would have been longer had it not been for the two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 25-year-old was a little limited in his return with 21:19 of ice time, but he's still firmly in a top-four spot due to his defensive excellence. For the season, he has 15 points, including a career-high six goals, and he's added 60 shots on net, 71 hits, 85 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating over 50 appearances. His tally snapped a seven-game point drought.

Brent Burns D | COL
Hurricanes' Brent Burns: Plays in 900th straight game
Burns picked up an assist in Saturday's 6-3 loss to Toronto.
Burns skated in his 900th straight game, dating back to Nov. 21, 2013. The native of Barrie, Ontario, is the sixth player in NHL history to accomplish the feat. Burns will be 40 in a couple of weeks (March 9), which means he would need to play well into 2026-27 to take Phil Kessel's ironman streak (1,064).

Shayne Gostisbehere D | CAR
Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: First goal in 21 games
Gostisbehere had a goal and an assist in a 6-3 loss to Toronto on Saturday.
Gostisbehere finally got the Canes on the board at 12:25 of the third period. He skated into the slot from the blue line and one-timed a pass from Sebastian Aho, who found him from behind the net. Gostisbehere ended a 20-game goalless drought and has just four points (one goal, three assists) in his last 18 outings. While those are lengthy droughts, he had 27 points in his first 31 appearances this season. Gostisbehere is somewhere between those two polarities and could bring sneaky value for fantasy managers down the stretch.

Drew Doughty D | LA
Kings' Drew Doughty: Three points in win
Doughty scored a goal, dished two assists, added two PIM, logged three hits, blocked four shots and went plus-3 in Saturday's 5-3 win over Utah.
Doughty did a bit of everything in his best game of the season, which also saw him play a season-low 21:40. The 35-year-old is no stranger to heavy workloads, but the Kings may get more out of him with fewer minutes, especially since the team is deep on defense and finally fully healthy at that position following the return of Mikey Anderson (finger). Doughty is up to four points, 12 shots on net, 10 hits, 13 blocked shots, eight PIM and a plus-2 rating across seven NHL appearances, and he also played with Team Canada during the 4 Nations Face-Off, so he should be back in a regular rhythm.

Jake Sanderson D | OTT
Senators' Jake Sanderson: Nets power-play marker
Sanderson scored a power-play goal on four shots and blocked two shots in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.
Not only did Sanderson not need rest after the 4 Nations Face-Off, he was able to get the Senators on the board with his first-period tally. The defenseman ended up logging 21:21 of ice time, well below his average of 24:25 per game coming into the contest. He's now at six goals, 36 points (21 on the power play), 130 shots on net, 119 blocked shots and a minus-16 rating through 56 appearances. Sanderson should be back up to his usual workload beginning with Wednesday's game versus the Jets -- look for him to see time on the top pairing and first power-play unit as he marches toward what's tracking to be a 50-point campaign for the 22-year-old.

Arber Xhekaj D | MON
Canadiens' Arber Xhekaj: Ends lengthy drought
Xhekaj notched an assist and three hits in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
Xhekaj got on the scoresheet for the first time since Dec. 20 with his helper on a Cole Caufield tally in the first period. The 24-year-old Xhekaj has been a regular presence in the Canadiens' lineup this season, adding some grit in a bottom-four role. He's at six points, 58 shots on net, 143 hits, 51 blocked shots, 83 PIM and a minus-7 rating. His playing style works in fantasy formats that reward physicality, but his ice time could drop once Kaiden Guhle (quadriceps) is able to return to the lineup.
-
Jayden Struble D | MON
Canadiens' Jayden Struble: Puts up helper in win
Struble notched an assist, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
Struble got on the scoresheet for the first time since Nov. 26 versus Utah. His point drought was just 14 games -- the blueliner has been a frequent scratch and even went on a conditioning loan with AHL Laval. Struble is likely to see steady playing time for as long as Kaiden Guhle (quadriceps) is out. For the season, Struble has six points, 30 shots on net, 64 hits, 29 blocked shots, 37 PIM and a minus-8 rating over 31 appearances.
