David Savard D | MON
Canadiens' David Savard: Gathers helper Saturday
Savard logged an assist in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
Savard helped out on a Cole Caufield goal in the first period. This was Savard's second game in a row with a helper, though they came nearly two weeks apart due to the break for the 4 Nations Face-Off. The 34-year-old defenseman has made limited contributions on offense this season, earning 12 points over 51 appearances. He's added 123 blocked shots, 40 hits, 36 shots on net, 26 PIM and a minus-6 rating while filling a bottom-four role -- his average of 17:46 of ice time per game is his lowest mark since 2013-14.

Lane Hutson D | MON
Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Slings power-play assist
Hutson logged a power-play assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Senators.
Hutson set up a Patrik Laine tally in the first period, which ended up being the game-winner. With three helpers over six contests in February, Hutson has had a decent month, though he's certainly not playing at his best. He's also gone minus-3 in that span. For the season, the 21-year-old blueliner is up to three goals, 39 assists (18 on the power play), 66 shots on net, 82 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-18 rating through 57 outings. He may not win it, but he should be in the Calder Trophy conversation.

Dougie Hamilton D | NJ
Devils' Dougie Hamilton: Double-apple day in loss
Hamilton delivered two assists in a 4-2 loss to Dallas on Saturday.
Hamilton fired a game-high eight shots, and he delivered two hits and one block in 22:58. He sits tied with Roman Josi for 12th on the NHL defender scoring list with 38 points, one behind Erik Karlsson (39). Hamilton's 169 shots are rank third on that list, behind superstars Zach Werenski (205) and Cale Makar (179). That's impressive company.

Cam Fowler D | STL
Blues' Cam Fowler: Nabs helper Saturday
Fowler produced an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Jets.
Fowler helped out on a Robert Thomas tally early in the third period. The 33-year-old Fowler has a point in each of his last two games, though that follows a stretch of seven contests where he failed to get on the scoresheet. The defenseman is now at 19 points, 54 shots on net, 69 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 44 appearances between the Blues and the Ducks this season. He's seen heavy minutes and time in all situations with St. Louis, though his lack of physicality makes him a little risky for fantasy.

Colin Miller D | WPG
Jets' Colin Miller: Pockets helper Saturday
Miller provided an assist, two hits and four PIM in Saturday's 4-3 shootout win over the Blues.
Miller ended a five-game point drought with the helper. The 32-year-old defenseman has seen sporadic playing time since the start of December, though he was able to play Saturday with Josh Morrissey (illness) out of action. Miller is up to 10 points, 43 shots on net, 57 hits, 32 blocked shots, 30 PIM and a plus-10 rating over 41 appearances, surpassing his total of nine points across 46 outings from the 2023-24 regular season.

Thomas Harley D | DAL
Stars' Thomas Harley: Three-game goal streak
Harley nabbed a power-play goal Saturday in a 4-2 win over New Jersey.
Harley put the Stars up 2-0 with a wrist shot from the top of the left face-off circle at 5:44 of the first period. It was his 10th goal of the season, and it extended his goal streak to three games (three goals, one assist). Harley was a mid-tourney addition to Team Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off when the team was hit with both injuries and illness, and he acquitted himself well. In fact, we wouldn't be surprised if his soaring confidence results in an uptick in production back on NHL ice.

Martin Fehervary D | WAS
Capitals' Martin Fehervary: Notches two points
Fehervary registered a goal, an assist and dished out three hits during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Fehervary has managed four points over his last four games in a rare offensive outburst for the smooth-skating rearguard. The 25-year-old logs top-four minutes but lacks the offensive consistency fantasy managers covet.
-
Trevor van Riemsdyk D | WAS
Capitals' Trevor van Riemsdyk: Slings helper Saturday
Van Riemsdyk registered an assist and a plus-2 rating during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
The helper puts Van Riemsdyk seven points back of his previous best of 23 from the 2022-23 season. He has plenty of time to challenge those totals. The 33-year-old has provided stalwart defensive play, but his lack of consistent offensive production doesn't lend him much fantasy appeal.
-
John Carlson D | ANA
Capitals' John Carlson: Extends point streak
Carlson tallied an assist, two shots and a plus-2 rating during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Carlson extended his assist streak to seven games with a secondary helper on forward Aliaksei Protas' second-period goal. The 35-year-old blueliner has managed four goals and 36 points in 56 games and remains one of the more solid fantasy rearguards in the league.

Rasmus Sandin D | WAS
Capitals' Rasmus Sandin: Dishes two helpers
Sandin tallied two assists, a plus-2 rating and three blocked shots during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Sandin has recorded 20-plus points in three consecutive seasons following Saturday's two-point effort. The Swedish blueliner has emerged as a stalwart top-four defenseman during his tenure with the Capitals. However, Sandin must find the scoresheet more regularly to have much fantasy appeal in standard formats.
