  • Lightning's Steve Santini: Elevated from minors

Santini was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Tuesday.

Erik Cernak (undisclosed) is unavailable for Tuesday's home game versus the Blue Jackets, which resulted in the Lightning bringing up Santini from the minors. The 31-year-old Santini has posted an assist and a plus-1 rating over nine games with the big club this season.

  • Blue Jackets' Denton Mateychuk: Two-point effort Monday

Mateychuk scored a goal and added an assist in Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings.

Both points came in the second period as the Blue Jackets briefly grabbed their only lead of the game at 3-2. Mateychuk is having a strong start to March, producing a goal and four points in five games, but as long as Zach Werenski is healthy and dominating power-play time from the blue line, the younger defenseman's upside is capped. Through 56 games this season, Mateychuk has 10 goals and 26 points.

  • Kings' Brian Dumoulin: Three points in Monday's OT win

Dumoulin produced a goal and two assists in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over Columbus.

The veteran blueliner isn't known for his offense, but Dumoulin picked up a point in each regulation period, including his second goal of the season in the third. It was his first multi-point performance since Jan. 5, and the three-point outburst equaled his production from his prior 21 games combined.

  • Penguins' Jack St. Ivany: Taken off IR

St. Ivany (hand) was removed from injured reserve Monday, Seth Rorabaugh of Tribune-Review Sports reports.

Per the NHL media site, St. Ivany is no longer listed on the Penguins' IR list. The move comes just hours after he was designated for a conditioning loan with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. While it's unclear when his assignment in the minors is expected to conclude, he likely won't return to the Penguins' lineup until he's healthy and has a few more games at the AHL level under his belt.

  • Mammoth's Maksymilian Szuber: Called up to majors

Szuber was recalled from AHL Tucson on Monday.

With Szuber set to join the Mammoth, his call-up indicates that Mikhail Sergachev (lower body) isn't ready to return to the lineup. Szuber has been a steady contributor in the AHL this season with 10 goals, 15 assists and 78 shots on net across 50 games this season. The move gives him his first chance to suit up in Utah after playing one NHL game when the franchise was in Arizona during the 2023-24 season.

  • Mammoth's Mikhail Sergachev: Still out Monday

Sergachev (lower body) is not available for Monday's game in Chicago, according to the NHL media site.

Sergachev is set to miss his third consecutive game. Monday's matchup is the first half of a back-to-back for the Mammoth, so the team is seemingly being very cautious with Sergachev, who was a late scratch for Saturday's contest in Columbus. Utah promoted Maksymilian Szuber from the minors prior to Monday's game to provide depth on the blue line.

  • Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Won't travel on road trip

Gudbranson (upper body) will not travel with the Blue Jackets for their upcoming three-game road trip, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports Monday.

Gudbranson sustained his upper-body injury during Monday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings. The Blue Jackets open their road trip Tuesday in Tampa Bay and close it out Saturday in Philadelphia, so the earliest Gudbranson can return to the lineup is March 17 for a home divisional matchup against the Hurricanes. Egor Zamula and Jake Christiansen will compete for a spot on the third pairing while Gudbranson is sidelined, but Zamula might have the inside track to play more regularly during that time.

  • Nick Seeler D | PHI

Flyers' Nick Seeler: Suiting up at home

Seeler (lower body) is in the lineup for Monday's home game versus the Rangers, per Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports.

Seeler missed two games due to his lower-body injury but will return to the lineup for this divisional matchup. The 32-year-old will slot in on third pairing next to Noah Juulsen on Monday.

  • Blue Jackets' Erik Gudbranson: Suffers upper-body injury

Gudbranson sustained an upper-body injury during Monday's game versus the Kings and will not return.

Gudbranson was hit into the boards by Artemi Panarin in the first period and did not come back into the game, per Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site. The 34-year-old Gudbranson logged two shots and one hit in 5:02 of ice time prior to departing. Columbus will play in Tampa Bay on Tuesday, so Gudbranson should be considered questionable, at best, for that matchup at this time.

  • Sam Rinzel D | CHI

Blackhawks' Sam Rinzel: Puts away goal Sunday

Rinzel scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Stars.

Rinzel has two points over his last three games. The 21-year-old defenseman is settling back into a top-four role after the Blackhawks traded away Connor Murphy to Edmonton, opening the door for a youth movement on the blue line. Rinzel has three goals, 12 points, 58 shots on net, 40 blocked shots, 28 hits and 36 PIM over 35 appearances this season.
