  • Adam Boqvist D | NYI

Islanders' Adam Boqvist: First goal with new team

Boqvist scored a goal Saturday in a 3-2 overtime win over Tampa Bay.

Boqvist was playing his first game for the Islanders after being claimed off waivers Friday. He took a pass off the boards for a breakaway. His first shot was stopped, but he punched in the rebound to tie the game 1-1 late in the second period. Boqvist, who was drafted eighth overall in 2018, has bounced around four teams over the last six seasons. The Isles have given the offensively-oriented defender a fresh start, although it's hard to know how he'll be deployed once Noah Dobson (lower body) returns and Tony DeAngelo slides down and becomes the secondary offensive contributor.

  • Hurricanes' Jaccob Slavin: Manages assist Saturday

Slavin provided an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.

Slavin had nine points over 15 outings in January and kept the offense rolling to begin February. The 30-year-old defenseman helped out on an Eric Robinson tally in the third period. Slavin is up to 20 points, 65 shots on net, 92 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 53 appearances. With his current performance, he can help fantasy managers who need a modest boost in points or blocks.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Pockets helper in loss

Gostisbehere notched an assist, three shots on goal and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.

Gostisbehere has been quiet since returning from an upper-body injury. He has just two helpers, both at even strength, since he rejoined the lineup Jan. 12 versus the Ducks. The 31-year-old was a force on offense prior to the injury, and he has 29 points (18 on the power play), 83 shots on net, 39 blocked shots, 35 hits and a minus-5 rating over 45 appearances this season.

  • Brent Burns D | COL

Hurricanes' Brent Burns: Joins 900-point club

Burns registered an assist, four shots on goal and two PIM in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Kings.

Burns' helper was the 900th point of his career, making him the 13th defenseman in NHL history to get to that mark. He hasn't done all that well on offense this season, picking up 19 points over 53 appearances. He entered Saturday on a seven-game drought before assisting on Eric Robinson's third-period tally. Burns has added 125 shots on net, 73 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating while seeing top-four minutes as usual.

  • Kris Letang D | PIT

Penguins' Kris Letang: Adds helper Saturday

Letang had an assist and two shots on net in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Nashville.

The blueliner's helper came on Philip Tomasino's goal in the first period. Letang has three assists in his past six games, which is his strongest offensive output since early December (six points in four appearances). The 37-year-old has seven goals, 13 assists and 106 shots on goal across 47 outings this year. He is well off the pace to match his season total of 51 points from a year ago but still provides good category coverage with shots on net, hits and blocks. While better options are on the waiver wire, he still skates over 23 minutes per game for the Penguins and has time to turn this season around.

  • Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Two apples in win

Karlsson provided two assists and had three shots on goal in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Predators.

Karlsson provided helpers on the first two goals of the game for Pittsburgh and ultimately eclipsed the 30-assist mark on the season. He has back-to-back games with at least one point for the first time since early January. The 34-year-old defenseman is up to five goals, 35 points and 136 shots on net through 54 games this season. The Norris Trophy winner from two seasons ago is unlikely to match his 101-point outburst from his award-worthy campaign. However, repeating his offensive output of 56 points from a season ago is in the cards. View Karlsson as a solid play on the fantasy blue line moving forward.

  • Kings' Vladislav Gavrikov: Snaps slump with assist

Gavrikov earned an assist in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.

Gavrikov's helper ended a 16-game point drought for the defenseman. In that span, he went minus-9 with 24 shots on net and 33 blocked shots. The 29-year-old is frequently better at the defensive aspects of the game, so it's not unusual for his scoring contributions to be spotty. He's at 17 points, 66 shots on net, 102 blocks and a plus-9 rating over 50 appearances in 2024-25.

  • Kings' Drew Doughty: Earns first helper of season

Doughty notched an assist, two shots on goal, three hits and four PIM in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.

This was Doughty's third game back from a broken ankle which required surgery. He's already jumped into heavy minutes in a top-four role, but he's gone minus-4 so far. The helper was his first point of the season, and he's added four hits and one blocked shot. The 35-year-old has rarely had long-term injuries in his career, but this is one that will likely take him some time to get back up to full speed. Still, fantasy managers should be patient with the veteran blueliner for now.

  • Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Nets winner in OT

DeAngelo scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 overtime victory over Tampa Bay on Saturday.

DeAngelo took a stretch pass from Bo Horvat behind the Lightning defense and beat Andrei Vasilevskiy on a breakaway 33 seconds into overtime. DeAngelo has two points (one goal, one assist) in four games this season. Fantasy managers will benefit from DeAngelo's effectiveness until Noah Dobson (lower body) returns to the line. Once Dobson is back in the fold, DeAngelo could see time on the second power-play combination.

  • Jets' Dylan Samberg: Collects two points

Samberg tallied a goal, an assist, a plus-2 rating and three shots during Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Capitals.

Samberg is on pace to establish new highs offensively, registering four goals and 12 points through 33 games this season. The 26-year-old has acquitted himself nicely on the second pairing with Neal Pionk but will need to generate more offense to garner much fantasy consideration outside of deeper leagues.
