  • Neal Pionk D | WPG

Jets' Neal Pionk: Bags two apples

Pionk tallied two assists, including one on the power-play, a plus-2 rating and four shots during Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Capitals.

Pionk helped open the scoring for the Jets, giving him two goals and seven points in his last 10 games. The 29-year-old has supplied 30-plus points in six consecutive seasons and could establish new career highs if he can stay productive the rest of the way.

  • Islanders' Scott Mayfield: Leaves Saturday's contest

Mayfield (lower body) was injured Saturday versus the Lightning, and there was no update on his status following the contest, Ethan Sears of the New York Post reports.

Mayfield appeared to be favoring his right leg after crashing into the end wall in the second period, per Sears. The Islanders play again Sunday against the Panthers, and Dennis Cholowski could draw back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch in Saturday's win.

  • Jets' Josh Morrissey: Pots two goals

Morrissey tallied two goals, a minus-2 rating and three shots during Saturday's 5-4 overtime win over the Capitals.

Morrissey extended his point streak to three games and has amassed three goals and nine points over his last seven contests. The 29-year-old could reach the 70-point plateau for the second time in three regular seasons and is one of the most reliable fantasy rearguards.

  • Matt Roy D | WAS

Capitals' Matt Roy: Trio of helpers

Roy tallied three assists, a plus-3 rating and two shots during Saturday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Jets.

Roy has been on a tear recently, compiling one goal and five points in his last six games. The 29-year-old has notched two goals, 15 points and a plus-11 rating in 42 games during his inaugural season with the Capitals.

  • Maple Leafs' Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Injured in Saturday's contest

Ekman-Larsson (lower body) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Oilers.

Ekman-Larsson logged just 5:09 of ice time before his injury. The Maple Leafs have some time off before continuing their road trip in Calgary on Tuesday. If Ekman-Larsson can't play, Philippe Myers will likely rejoin the lineup after being a scratch in Saturday's matchup.

  • Quinn Hughes D | MIN

Canucks' Quinn Hughes: Questionable for Sunday

Hughes (undisclosed) missed practice Saturday and is a game-time decision for Sunday's contest versus the Red Wings, Harman Dayal of The Athletic reports.

Hughes' potential absence is one more moving part for the Canucks, who have three NHL-level players on their way to Vancouver after trades Friday. If Hughes is unavailable, Noah Juulsen or Elias Pettersson could suit up instead.

  • Oilers' John Klingberg: Ready to rock

Klingberg (illness) will play against Toronto on Saturday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Klingberg sat out Friday's practice but won't miss any playing time. He had one shot on goal and a minus-1 rating in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss to Detroit during his NHL season debut.

  • Oilers' Mattias Ekholm: Set to sit out

Ekholm (illness) won't play Saturday versus the Maple Leafs, Bob Stauffer of the Oilers Radio Network reports.

Ekholm missed Friday's practice after playing through the illness Thursday. However, he will miss at least one game. Troy Stecher is set to return to the Oilers' lineup in a bottom-four role.

  • Kraken's Gustav Olofsson: Up from AHL

Olofsson was promoted from AHL Coachella Valley on Saturday.

Olofsson's recall is on an emergency basis. The Kraken are dealing with an injury to Ryker Evans (upper body), so Olofsson is presumably up with the big club to serve as extra defensive depth. He has not made an NHL appearance in 2024-25.

  • Bruins' Michael Callahan: Suffers upper-body injury

Callahan sustained an upper-body injury Saturday and won't return to Boston's clash against the Rangers

Callahan logged just 5:49 of ice time before exiting the game. If Callahan doesn't play against Minnesota on Tuesday, Parker Wotherspoon will likely draw back into the lineup.
