  • Sharks' Timothy Liljegren: Sends helper in loss

Liljegren notched an assist, two shots on goal, two blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Predators.

Liljegren ended his six-game point drought with the helper. He also missed one contest due to an illness in that span. The 25-year-old defenseman is up to nine points, 55 shots on net, 43 hits, 55 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a minus-10 rating over 38 appearances between the Sharks and the Maple Leafs this season. He has limited upside given his lack of offense, though he continues to see time on the Sharks' second pairing and second power-play unit.

  • Henry Thrun D | TOR

Sharks' Henry Thrun: Buries goal in loss

Thrun scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Predators.

Thrun ended an 18-game point drought dating back to Nov. 30 with his second-period tally. The 23-year-old has not held a full-time role on the Sharks' blue line this season, but he's been in the lineup a majority of the time. He has one goal, nine points, 38 shots on net, 34 hits, 46 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating through 42 appearances in a bottom-four role.

  • Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Two-point effort in win

Ferraro scored a goal on two shots, dished an assist, added four hits and went plus-3 in Thursday's 6-5 loss to the Predators.

Ferraro helped out on a Walker Duehr goal before scoring one of his own in the first period. This was Ferraro's first multi-point effort since April 13, 2024. The 26-year-old defenseman is up to 10 points, 51 shots on net, 114 hits, 70 blocked shots, 30 PIM and a minus-22 rating over 51 appearances. Three of Ferraro's five goals this season have been scored over 11 contests in January.

  • Predators' Justin Barron: Generates assist in win

Barron provided an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.

Barron has picked up three points over his last five outings. The 23-year-old defenseman had struggled before this recent stretch, but it's possible he's getting comfortable with his new team after he was traded from Montreal in December. He has four points, 35 shots on net, 33 hits, 38 blocked shots, 10 PIM and a minus-4 rating over 29 appearances between the Predators and the Canadiens this season.

  • Roman Josi D | NSH

Predators' Roman Josi: Extends point streak to seven games

Josi notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.

Josi has two goals and eight helpers during his seven-game point streak, and he's earned a power-play point in six of those contests. He helped out on a Steven Stamkos tally in the second period of Thursday's victory. Josi's surge has him up to 35 points (16 on the power play), 127 shots on net, 76 blocked shots, 37 hits and a minus-19 rating through 43 appearances. After a somewhat middling first half of the campaign, it's encouraging to see Josi consistently contribute on offense.

  • Brady Skjei D | NSH

Predators' Brady Skjei: Distributes three assists

Skjei recorded three assists, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Sharks.

Two of Skjei's helpers came on the power play. He had been limited to one goal over his previous eight contests. The defenseman's scoring contributions have been limited this season, but he remains firmly in a top-four role and on the second power-play unit. Skjei is at four goals, 13 assists, 95 shots on net, 51 blocked shots, 38 hits and a minus-5 rating over 47 appearances.

  • Capitals' Trevor van Riemsdyk: Slings assist in win

Van Riemsdyk logged an assist, four blocked shots and a plus-3 rating in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Kraken.

Van Riemsdyk ended an eight-game slump with the helper. The 33-year-old defenseman has added little outside of assists and blocks this season -- he has 14 helpers and 96 blocks while adding a plus-17 rating across 48 appearances. His lack of category coverage limits his appeal in fantasy, especially since he remains in a bottom-four role.

  • Capitals' Jakob Chychrun: Pockets helper Thursday

Chychrun notched an assist, four shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Kraken.

Chychrun hasn't been able to get on the scoresheet in consecutive games since Jan. 4-6, but he continues to chip in consistently. The 26-year-old has a total of two goals and five assists over 11 outings in January. For the season, he's up to 13 goals, 19 helpers, 102 shots on net, 54 blocked shots, 32 hits, 30 PIM and a plus-21 rating through 43 appearances. He remains on pace to top his career high of 41 points, which he's achieved twice.

  • Ducks' Drew Helleson: Chips in with assist

Helleson logged an assist, three shots on goal and four hits in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Penguins.

Helleson had been scratched in four of the previous five games, and he had gone eight contests without a point. The 23-year-old appears to have entered the mix of blueliners who may sit out occasionally, joining fellow young defensemen Olen Zellweger and Pavel Mintyukov. Competition should bring the best out of all of them as they look to solidify their NHL spots in the long run. Helleson has earned six points, 23 shots on net, 32 hits, 29 blocked shots, 25 PIM and a minus-3 rating over 22 appearances. He has limited upside in a part-time role.

  • Ducks' Brian Dumoulin: Manages helper against old team

Dumoulin produced an assist, two shots on goal, three blocked shots and two PIM in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Penguins.

Dumoulin has three helpers over his last six outings. The 33-year-old has been in the lineup regularly for the Ducks as a veteran presence. He's up to 11 assists, 47 shots on net, 50 hits, 78 blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over 48 appearances. Dumoulin's offense is too limited for most fantasy managers, but it looks like the Ducks will play him regularly, meaning one of Olen Zellweger, Pavel Mintyukov or Drew Helleson will be a healthy scratch most of the time.
