  • Sharks' John Klingberg: Sits due to injury

Klingberg was out of the lineup Thursday versus the Blues due to a lower-body injury, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Klingberg will travel with the Sharks to Columbus ahead of Saturday's contest. The defenseman is day-to-day for now, but he has missed two of the Sharks' last four games, presumably due to this injury. Nick Leddy will be in the lineup while Klingberg is on the mend.

  • Radko Gudas D | ANA

Ducks' Radko Gudas: Questionable to finish game

Gudas sustained a lower-body injury Thursday versus the Flames and is questionable to return to the game, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.

The Ducks dressed seven defensemen for this contest, so it shouldn't be difficult for them to manage if Gudas remains in the locker room. The 35-year-old will be considered day-to-day until the Ducks provide another update on his status.

  • Canadiens' Jayden Struble: First goal in 87 games

Struble scored a goal Thursday in a 2-1 win over Columbus.

Struble drove in from the left point, took a pass at the dot and snapped a shot stick side on Jet Greaves. It was his first goal since Nov. 26, 2024 (87 games). Struble also added two hits. The rugged defender has one goal, 10 assists and 89 hits on the season (48 games). One goal, three assists and 18 hits have come in his last 10 games.

  • Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Should be fine after early exit

Spurgeon required stitches after crashing into the net in the third period of Thursday's game versus the Panthers, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports.

Head coach John Hynes said Spurgeon should be fine moving forward, but that leaves at least a little doubt to his availability in Boston on Saturday. Check back for an update on Spurgeon's status ahead of that contest. If the defenseman can't play, Zach Bogosian will likely draw back into the lineup.

  • Blue Jackets' Damon Severson: Dealing with upper-body injury

Severson left Thursday's contest versus the Canadiens due to an upper-body injury, and there was no update on his status after the game, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports.

Severson had the Blue Jackets' lone goal in a 2-1 loss Thursday, but he was hurt in the third period after a hit from Zachary Bolduc. The 31-year-old Severson can be considered day-to-day until his status is updated. If he misses time, Egor Zamula or Jake Christiansen will replace him in the lineup, while Denton Mateychuk or Dante Fabbro will get more ice time. Severson has 32 points in 71 outings this season and will be tough to replace if he's out for any length of time.

  • Blackhawks' Louis Crevier: Likely fine after scary incident

Crevier was in the locker room with his teammates after leaving Thursday's game versus the Flyers following a skate to the face, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Crevier had an assist in the contest, but he wasn't able to finish it after appearing to get cut on the face. However, his presence in the locker room after the game -- rather than getting further treatment -- suggests he has avoided a significant injury. He has earned 18 points over 68 outings this season.

  • Islanders' Tony DeAngelo: Set to miss 1-2 weeks

DeAngelo (lower body) will miss the next 1-2 weeks, the team announced Thursday.

DeAngelo had already been ruled out for Thursday's game against Dallas. His exit from the lineup coincides with Ryan Pulock's (lower body) return. When DeAngelo is ready to return, he will likely serve in a top-four capacity.

  • Ryan Pulock D | NYI

Islanders' Ryan Pulock: Good to play Thursday

Pulock (lower body) is expected to play Thursday versus Dallas, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Pulock has three goals, 25 points, 12 PIM, 47 hits and 125 blocks in 67 outings in 2025-26. He missed two games due to the injury. Pulock is projected to play alongside Matthew Schaefer on the top pairing. Pulock's return coincides with Tony DeAngelo exiting the lineup due to a lower-body injury.

  • Sabres' Zach Metsa: Returned to minors

Metsa was reassigned to AHL Rochester on Thursday.

With Conor Timmins back from injury, Metsa was going to face an uphill battle for ice time on the crowded Sabres' blue line. Instead, he'll head back to the minors, where he should be able to log big minutes, including some power-play opportunities. In his 38 games with the Sabres this season, the Wisconsin native has notched two goals, four assists and 22 shots while averaging a mere 10:19 of ice time.

  • Philip Larsen: Hangs up skates

Larsen announced his retirement from professional hockey Thursday.

Larsen had nine goals, 37 points, 46 PIM, 197 hits and 149 blocks across 151 career regular-season NHL games. He had stints with Dallas, Edmonton and Vancouver, and was last in the NHL in 2016-17. Larsen continued his playing career in the KHL and later in Denmark. He had two goals and 12 points in 27 regular-season appearances with Esbjerg EfB Ishockey of Denmark's Metal Ligaen.
