  • Bowen Byram D | BUF

Sabres' Bowen Byram: Supplies assist in loss

Byram logged an assist, three hits and five blocked shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Stars.

Byram has a helper in three straight contests for the second time in December. The 23-year-old defenseman had the secondary assist on Jason Zucker's goal in the second period. Byram continues to show plenty of talent in a top-four role this season. He's at 21 points, 45 shots on net, 59 blocked shots, 39 hits and a plus-5 rating over 38 appearances. He's on pace to exceed the 40-point mark for the first time in his career.

  • Stars' Thomas Harley: Dishes pair of assists

Harley logged two assists in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Sabres.

Harley had a middling December -- he put up seven points over 12 contests with a plus-5 rating, but he only got on the scoresheet in four games. Three of those were multi-point efforts. The 23-year-old blueliner's role remains steady -- regardless of where he's listed, he sees top-four minutes and power-play time. He's at 17 points, 75 shots on net, 38 blocked shots and a plus-19 rating over 34 outings this season.

  • Esa Lindell D | DAL

Stars' Esa Lindell: Long-range empty-netter seals win

Lindell scored an empty-net goal on three shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Sabres.

Lindell finished the game with a long-range empty-netter for his first point in seven contests. The defenseman was held to zero hits and blocked shots for the second game in a row -- it was just the third time he's posted goose eggs in both categories in the same game this year. Despite the recent lack of physical play, that's often where Lindell shines. He has three goals, nine assists, 57 shots on net, 30 hits, 68 blocked shots and a plus-10 rating over 36 appearances.

  • Jets' Logan Stanley: Assists in three straight games

Stanley logged an assist, three hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Stanley has logged a helper in three straight games since he returned from missing two contests due to a lower-body injury. He's been thrust into a top-four role as injuries pile up on the Jets' blue line -- Haydn Fleury (lower body) and Dylan Samberg (foot) are out, and Dylan DeMelo (undisclosed) exited Tuesday's game early. Stanley could see a little more offense as long as he plays in a larger role, but it likely won't be a sizeable gain since he doesn't see power-play time. The big blueliner has seven points, 13 shots on net, 28 hits, 39 blocked shots, 55 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 25 outings this season.

  • Neal Pionk D | WPG

Jets' Neal Pionk: Pockets helper in loss

Pionk produced an assist and six hits in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Pionk had some consistency problems in December but still put up a decent seven points with 20 hits and 29 blocked shots over 15 contests for the month. The 29-year-old blueliner has filled a second-pairing role throughout 2024-25. He's at five goals, 22 assists, 62 shots on net, 58 hits, 67 blocked shots, 26 PIM and a plus-6 rating through 39 outings overall.

  • Dylan DeMelo D | WPG

Jets' Dylan DeMelo: Injured late in loss

DeMelo sustained an undisclosed injury blocking a shot in the third period of Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Avalanche, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press

DeMelo ended the game with two hits and three blocked shots in 23:43 of ice time. There was no update on the defenseman's status after the contest. The Jets can ill afford another injury on the blue line -- they're already missing Dylan Samberg (foot) and Haydn Fleury (lower body). More information on DeMelo's status should be available prior to Thursday's home game versus the Ducks.

  • Avalanche's Samuel Girard: Generates helper Tuesday

Girard notched an assist, four shots on goal, three hits and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Jets.

Girard snapped a nine-game point drought when he helped out on Artturi Lehkonen's first-period tally. The 26-year-old Girard may get a bit more freedom to roam now that Josh Manson has been back for a couple of games since he missed 12 contests due to an upper-body injury. Girard has contributed 17 points, 51 shots on net, 62 blocked shots, 35 hits and a plus-6 rating over 38 outings this season, serving as a regular in the Avalanche's top four.

  • Cale Makar D | COL

Avalanche's Cale Makar: Snags helper in win

Makar logged an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Jets.

Makar saw a five-game point streak end Friday in Utah, but he quickly got back on the scoresheet. The 26-year-old concluded December with 14 points in 13 games as well as a plus-13 rating. He's up to 11 goals, 35 helpers, 19 power-play points, 120 shots on net, 53 blocked shots, 32 hits and a plus-11 rating through 38 appearances this season.

  • Josh Manson D | COL

Avalanche's Josh Manson: Collects pair of helpers

Manson logged two assists, three shots on goal, four hits and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Jets.

Manson set up goals by Artturi Lehkonen and Casey Mittelstadt. This was Manson's second game since missing 12 due to an upper-body injury. The 33-year-old has slotted right back onto the second pairing alongside Samuel Girard. Manson has eight points, 33 shots on net, 57 hits, 36 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating through 26 appearances. He offers plenty of physicality but only limited offense.

  • Jonas Brodin D | MIN

Wild's Jonas Brodin: Four points in last four games

Brodin scored a goal and added an assist Tuesday in a 5-3 win over the Predators.

Brodin and Brock Faber picked up the extra ice time after Jared Spurgeon (lower body) went down early to injury. Brodin has four points (two goals, two assists) in his last four games, and the extra ice time could continue for the foreseeable future -- Spurgeon was seen leaving the arena with a leg brace and crutches.
