  • Lian Bichsel D | DAL

Stars' Lian Bichsel: Sent to AHL

Bichsel was loaned to AHL Texas on Monday.

Bichsel made his sixth appearance of the season Monday, compiling six hits and one blocked shot in a 3-2 win over Utah. The Swiss blueliner's 11:58 of ice time was the lowest among Dallas' defensemen, so he might benefit from more consistent playing time in the AHL. Bichsel has found the back of the net twice but has yet to register an assist at the NHL level in 2024-25.

  • Penguins' Erik Karlsson: Warm front approaching

Karlsson put up two assists in a 7-3 win over Philadelphia on Monday.

Karlsson has five points, including four assists, in his last four games. And he has 13 points, including 12 assists, and 31 shots in his last 14 games. Karlsson is warming up and is now on a pace that would match his 56-point total from last season. That will help you, even if he struggles defensively.

  • Lane Hutson D | MON

Canadiens' Lane Hutson: Extends point streak

Hutson scored a goal on two shots and blocked a shot in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Blue Jackets.

Hutson threw a puck to the net that deflected off the stick of a Blue Jacket for Montreal's second goal. It was the second tally in the last five games for the rookie, who failed to score on 33 shots over the first 29 games. The goal extended Hutson's point streak to five games, during which he has two goals and five assists.

  • David Savard D | MON

Canadiens' David Savard: Rare two-pointer in loss

Savard scored a goal on three shots and assisted on another in Monday's 5-4 loss to Columbus. He also had four blocked shots and one hit.

Savard helped Montreal scramble back from 2-0 and 3-1 deficits. He scored Montreal's first goal early in the second period then triggered a break that led to the goal that tied the game at 3-3. It was the defenseman's first two-point effort of the season. He's up to one goal and eight assists through 32 outings, and he's also contributed 84 blocked shots as a defensive pillar.

  • Red Wings' William Wallinder: Sent down Monday

Wallinder was assigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Monday.

Wallinder was recalled ahead of Monday's game against St. Louis, but he was merely an insurance policy as Ben Chiarot didn't play due to an upper-body injury. Wallinder is being given time to develop at the AHL level, but he could compete for a full-time role on Detroit's back end in 2025-26.

  • Red Wings' William Lagesson: Returned to AHL

Lagesson was assigned to AHL Grand Rapids on Monday.

Lagesson logged two shots on goal and one hit in 15:36 of ice time Monday. It was just his second appearance with Detroit this season. Lagesson will rejoin the Griffins, where he's posted two goals and six helpers through 20 AHL games in 2024-25.

  • Blue Jackets' Jordan Harris: Scores first of season

Harris scored a goal on one shot in Monday's 5-4 win over Montreal.

Harris operated as a seventh defenseman and was on ice for just 6:26. The tally was his first as a member of the Blue Jackets, and it came against his former team. He's often been a healthy scratch and has just two points through 23 outings while averaging 11:58 of ice time per game.

  • Jonas Brodin D | MIN

Wild's Jonas Brodin: Nabs helper Monday

Brodin logged an assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Brodin has two helpers over six games since he returned from an upper-body injury. The 31-year-old defenseman stepped right back into his top-pairing role after the absence, though he's not always that consistent on offense. He often plays more of a shutdown role while Brock Faber gets more involved in the O-zone. Brodin is up to 10 points, 44 shots on net, 53 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 25 appearances.

  • Wild's Jared Spurgeon: Puts away goal Monday

Spurgeon scored a goal on two shots and added four hits in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Spurgeon ended an eight-game point drought when he tied the game at 2-2 in the second period. Prior to the slump, he had picked up three goals and two assists in a four-game span, so fantasy managers would likely prefer to see him find a little more consistency. The veteran defenseman has 12 points, 56 shots on net, 23 hits, 47 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 29 appearances.

  • Brock Faber D | MIN

Wild's Brock Faber: Tickles twine in win

Faber scored a goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Faber gave the Wild their first lead of the game at 2:43 of the third period. He'd gone 14 contests without a goal, picking up six assists and 16 shots on net in that span. The 22-year-old defenseman remains a key part of the Wild's defense in a top-pairing role. He's had decent offense with four goals, 18 points, 44 shots on net and a plus-12 rating through 35 appearances. Faber's added 46 blocked shots, 14 hits and nine PIM, so he shouldn't be counted on for big numbers in the physical categories.
