  • Olli Maatta D | CGY

Hockey Club's Olli Maatta: Puts up assist Sunday

Maatta logged an assist and three blocked shots in Sunday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Maatta had gone four games without a point, though he has five assists over his last 11 outings. The 30-year-old should continue to get some looks on offense by virtue of playing on the first defensive pairing at even strength, alongside a more dynamic blueliner in Mikhail Sergachev. Maatta is at five helpers, 23 shots on net, 60 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating over 30 appearances between Utah and Detroit this season.

  • Hockey Club's Juuso Valimaki: Garners assist Sunday

Valimaki notched an assist in Sunday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Ducks.

The helper ended a four-game slump for Valimaki, who continues to fill a third-pairing role. The 26-year-old has held onto his spot in the lineup as injuries on Utah's blue line have been a factor for much of the season. Valimaki is at a modest four points with 27 shots on net, 29 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating over 27 appearances.

  • Hockey Club's Mikhail Sergachev: Posts two assists in shootout loss

Sergachev recorded two assists and five blocked shots in Sunday's 5-4 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Sergachev helped out on goals by Logan Cooley and Clayton Keller in the second period. During a four-game point streak, Sergachev has earned a goal and five assists, with three of those helpers coming on the power play. The defenseman is up to 26 points (10 on the power play), 55 shots on net, 62 blocks and a plus-7 rating while averaging 25:54 of ice time over 33 contests.

  • Lightning's Victor Hedman: Logs helper in loss

Hedman notched an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Panthers.

The helper was Hedman's first point in three games since he returned from missing two contests due to a lower-body injury. The 34-year-old defenseman has had few dry spells this year while serving as the Lightning's unquestioned top blueliner. He's at four goals, 22 helpers, 68 shots on net, 51 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating through 29 appearances.

  • Lightning's Darren Raddysh: Dishes two assists in loss

Raddysh provided a pair of assists and three hits in Sunday's 4-2 loss to the Panthers.

Raddysh has four helpers over his last five contests. The 28-year-old continues to fill a larger role with J.J. Moser (lower body) unavailable, with Raddysh now picking up top-four minutes and power-play time on the second unit. The blueliner has 11 points, 30 shots on net, 16 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating through 23 appearances. Raddysh is worth a look in deeper fantasy formats -- he was a 33-point producer in 2023-24, and the Lightning have one of the best offenses in the league.

  • Hurricanes' Riley Stillman: Assigned to AHL

Stillman was loaned to AHL Chicago on Monday.

Stillman has been a healthy scratch in 22 games at the NHL level this season, including Sunday's 3-1 win over the Rangers. He hasn't made his Carolina debut yet but has four goals and 26 points in 158 NHL regular-season appearances.

  • Jake Walman D | EDM

Sharks' Jake Walman: Sitting out Monday

Walman (lower body) won't play against Vancouver on Monday, according to Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News.

Walman is day-to-day and will get additional time to recover ahead of Friday's matchup versus Vegas. He has registered five goals, 25 points, 80 shots on net, 47 blocked shots and 30 hits in 31 appearances this season. Due to Walman's absence, Henry Thrun will skate on the top pairing, while Shakir Mukhamadullin will be in Monday's lineup.

  • Ducks' Olen Zellweger: Two assists Sunday

Zellweger delivered two assists, including one on the power play, in Sunday's 5-4 shootout win over Utah.

Zellweger snapped a 10-game point drought Sunday by setting up two of the team's four goals. The 21-year-old is already posting better numbers compared to the ones he delivered as a rookie, as he's up to 12 points (four goals, eight helpers) in 30 games. He should continue to find opportunities to produce from the Ducks' blue line, especially if he remains a member of one of the power play units.

  • Maple Leafs' Chris Tanev: Late scratch Monday

Tanev (lower body) won't play against Winnipeg on Monday, David Alter of The Hockey News reports.

Despite participating in the pregame warmups, Tanev is a late scratch for Monday's matchup. He has compiled one goal, nine assists, 15 shots on net and 99 blocked shots in 34 appearances this season. Philippe Myers will replace Tanev in Monday's lineup.

  • Kraken's Gustav Olofsson: Returned to minors

Olofsson was assigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Monday.

Olofsson was a healthy scratch in Sunday's 5-2 loss to Colorado. He has two goals and 11 points in 27 AHL outings this season. Olofsson might be back with the Kraken after the holiday break to serve as an extra defender in Saturday's road game versus Vancouver.
