  • Islanders' David Rittich: Needed in relief Monday

Rittich gave up one goal on three shots after replacing Ilya Sorokin midway through the third period of Monday's 8-3 loss to the Penguins.

It was a brutal night for the Islanders overall, and Rittich didn't escape unscathed after replacing Sorokin between the pipes with just over 12 minutes left. Rittich's last three outings have all been abbreviated -- two in relief, plus a March 24 start in which he got the hook himself after just one period, and through six appearances in March, he's gone 2-1-0 with a rough 4.18 GAA and .862 save percentage. Despite that recent track record, he'll likely get the nod Tuesday in Buffalo as the Isles try to hang onto a playoff spot.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Holds on for OT win

Stolarz stopped 28 of 32 shots on net in Monday's 5-4 overtime win over the Ducks.

Stolarz allowed two goals early in the first period before shoring up his defense over time, as he gave up just two tallies across the last 50 minutes of regulation. With the OT win, he now holds a 10-9-3 record, a 3.30 GAA and an .893 save percentage across 24 outings this season. While the 2025-26 campaign has been a rocky one for the 32-year-old netminder, he has built up a three-game win streak and is trending in the right direction. When healthy, Stolarz profiles as a solid option to make spot starts in fantasy for the remainder of the regular season.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Slips against Penguins

Sorokin gave up seven goals on 28 shots before being replaced midway through the third period by David Rittich in Monday's 8-3 loss to Pittsburgh.

It was the worst performance of the season for Sorokin, who allowed just four goals on 86 shots over his prior four outings combined. March hasn't been kind to the veteran netminder, and his Vezina hopes may be fading -- he's been tagged for at least five goals three times this month, managing a 6-6-0 record over 12 appearances with a 2.95 GAA and .896 save percentage.

  • Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Carries to win by offense

Silovs made 20 saves in Monday's 8-3 win over the Islanders.

The 25-year-old netminder gave up all three of his goals on just eight shots in the second period, but the Penguins struck five times in that frame alone. Silovs has allowed fewer than three goals only once in his last seven starts, managing a 4-3-0 record over that stretch despite a rough 3.91 GAA and .844 save percentage.

  • Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Tending twine Monday

Stolarz will patrol the road crease in Monday's game against the Ducks, per Ducks PA Announcer Phil Hulett.

Stolarz will look to extend his two-game win streak dating back to March 15. Overall, the 32-year-old netminder has a 9-9-3 record, a 3.27 GAA and an .894 save percentage across 23 appearances this season. He's trending in the right direction for fantasy purposes and is a solid spot start option in various leagues. He'll face off against an above-average Ducks offense, who currently rank 11th in the league with 3.25 goals per game.

  • Adin Hill G | LV

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Set to face Vancouver

Hill will patrol the home blue paint against the Canucks on Monday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.

Hill has dropped back-to-back games in overtime, and he has just one win in his last six outings. The 29-year-old has conceded 17 goals on 112 shots (.848 save percentage) while going 1-3-2 during that time. The Golden Knights should have plenty of motivation to put forth a strong effort Monday, as it will be their first game playing in front of new bench boss John Tortorella. The Canucks, for their part, have lost five games in a row.

  • Canucks' Kevin Lankinen: Defending crease Monday

Lankinen will protect the road net against the Golden Knights on Monday, per Olivia McDonald of Canucks Insider.

Lankinen has one win through nine appearances in March, posting a 1-5-1 record while allowing 28 goals on 237 shots. He has gone 8-25-5 this campaign with a 3.65 GAA and an .876 save percentage across 42 appearances. Vegas sits in a tie for 14th in the league with 3.12 goals per game this season.

  • Sharks' Laurent Brossoit: Returned to AHL

Brossoit was assigned to AHL San Jose on Monday.

Brossoit will return to the minors because Yaroslav Askarov (upper body) will start Monday's home matchup against St. Louis. The 33-year-old Brossoit has gone 11-3-1 with a 2.52 GAA and a .915 save percentage across 15 appearances with AHL San Jose this season.

  • Joel Hofer G | STL

Blues' Joel Hofer: Set to face Sharks

Hofer will defend the road net against San Jose on Monday, according to Chris Pinkert of the Blues' official site.

Hofer won three of his past four outings (3-0-1) while allowing only four goals on 115 shots. He has a 19-11-5 record this campaign with six shutouts, a 2.52 GAA and a .911 save percentage across 39 appearances. San Jose sits 18th in the league with 3.00 goals per game this season.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Tending twine Monday

Askarov (upper body) will guard the cage at home versus the Blues on Monday, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.

Askarov has featured in just one of the Sharks' last nine games due to injuries but appears to have put things behind him. With a back-to-back upcoming, Askarov figures to feature in two of the next three contests, with Alex Nedeljkovic getting the other game.
