  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Snaps losing streak

Hellebuyck stopped 26 of 29 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Devils.

The star netminder ended his four-game losing skid with a strong showing against the Devils, although he continues to post underwhelming numbers compared to his elite 2024-25 campaign. Hellebuyck has given up at least three goals in three of his last five outings, going 1-2-2 with a 2.56 GAA and a .906 save percentage. Those are not bad numbers by any means, and the 32-year-old has a 2.70 GAA over the course of the season, but he's clearly taken a step back or two compared to last year. He should remain a player worth rostering every time he starts, though.

  • John Gibson G | DET

Red Wings' John Gibson: Allows two goals in loss

Gibson stopped 19 of 21 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Kings. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Gibson's eight-game winning streak came to an end Tuesday, and although he posted a decent performance across the board with a .905 save percentage, the offense didn't provide him with enough support. Gibson has been playing very well in recent weeks and has gone 11 straight starts allowing three or fewer goals. He's gone 9-2-0 with a 1.72 GAA and an impressive .936 save percentage during that 11-game stretch.

  • Kings' Anton Forsberg: Impressive against Detroit

Forsberg stopped 27 of 28 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Red Wings.

Forsberg has looked impressive in his last two appearances, winning both times. He's allowed just two goals on 56 shots faced over that stretch and could continue to see starts here and there. That said, he probably won't be taking over the team's No. 1 role between the pipes from Darcy Kuemper any time soon.

  • Islanders' David Rittich: Tending twine Wednesday

Rittich was the first goalie off during Wednesday's morning skate, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports, indicating that he'll draw the home start against the Rangers.

Rittich enters Wednesday's clash looking to bounce back after losing each of his last three starts with a 3.08 GAA and an .864 save percentage during that time. Overall, the 33-year-old goalie has an 11-7-3 record, a 2.57 GAA and a .902 save percentage across 21 outings this season. After serving as the backup for the multi-game stretches to begin the calendar year, he and Ilya Sorokin will alternate at least four starts for the first time since early December. The nine-year NHL veteran Rittich will face a Rangers offense that he shut out at home Dec. 27, which should give him a strong fantasy outlook ahead of the favorable matchup.

  • James Reimer G | OTT

Senators' James Reimer: Slated to start Wednesday

Reimer is expected to start at home against Colorado on Wednesday, per Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia.

Reimer has lost his last two starts while allowing four goals in each of those outings. He's 1-2-1 with a 3.32 GAA and an .871 save percentage in four appearances with Ottawa this season. The Avalanche are an extremely difficult adversary for goaltenders, ranking first in the league with 3.94 goals per game.

  • Blue Jackets' Elvis Merzlikins: Exits ice first Wednesday

Merzlikins was the first goalie to leave the ice Wednesday, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports, indicating he'll guard the cage at home versus the Flyers.

Marzlikins had his scheduled start for Monday's home game against the Kings postponed due to severe winter weather. However, he will get a chance in Wednesday's matchup to continue his recent success. He has won two of his last three starts while stopping 64 of 70 shots. With a road back-to-back versus Chicago and St. Louis on Friday and Saturday, respectively, Merzlikins figures to split those two contests with Jet Greaves.

  • Jakub Dobes G | MON

Canadiens' Jakub Dobes: Wins fourth straight start

Dobes made 32 saves in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Golden Knights.

The 24-year-old netminder remains undefeated in January, going 4-0-0 on the month. Dobes hasn't taken a regulation loss since Dec. 9, putting together a 6-0-1 record in seven starts with a 2.52 GAA and an .898 save percentage. However, he remains behind Sam Montembeault on the depth chart for Montreal.

  • Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Comes up short in Montreal

Schmid turned aside 23 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Canadiens.

After allowing two goals in the second period, Schmid and the Golden Knights dominated the third to force overtime. However, Jake Evans beat Schmid clean on a rush that produced the winner. Schmid has lost two straight decisions since his four-start win streak ended. Through seven outings in January, he's gone 4-1-2 with a 2.61 GAA and an .895 save percentage.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Hangs on for OT win

Swayman stopped 28 shots in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Predators.

The 27-year-old netminder watched a 2-0 slip away once Roman Josi potted a power-play tally in the final minute of the second period. However, Swayman still came away with a victory thanks to David Pastrnak's OT winner. Swayman has won five of his last six starts, posting a 5-1-0 record with a 2.60 GAA and a .912 save percentage over that stretch.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Bounced by Bruins in OT

Saros made 25 saves in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to Boston.

The Predators never led in the game, rallying from a 2-0 deficit late in the second period to force overtime, and Saros had little chance on David Pastrnak's winner just 15 seconds into the extra frame. The veteran netminder has given up at least three goals in six straight outings, posting a shaky 3.69 GAA and .887 save percentage over that stretch while coming away with a 3-2-1 record.
