Tristan Jarry G | EDM
Oilers' Tristan Jarry: Torched by former team
Jarry allowed six goals on 22 shots in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Penguins.
Jarry started in consecutive games for the first time since his lower-body injury. The results weren't good, as his former teammates had stretches of three goals in 37 seconds in the first period and two goals in 1:58 in the second. This was just his second regulation loss as an Oiler, but it was his worst game of the season. Between Edmonton and Pittsburgh, Jarry has a 13-5-2 record with a 2.78 GAA and a .901 save percentage over 21 outings. It wouldn't be surprising to see Connor Ingram get the nod Saturday versus the Capitals, but the Oilers' crease remains crowded with three goalies on the roster.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Cruises to win
Silovs stopped 30 of 32 shots in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Oilers.
Silovs got all the help he needed in the first three minutes of the game, as the Penguins scored three times in a span of 37 seconds. The 24-year-old netminder had suffered some misfortune during a three-game losing streak (0-2-1) in which he allowed just six goals on 81 shots. Silovs is now up to 9-6-8 with a 3.00 GAA and an .892 save percentage over 23 appearances. Stuart Skinner will likely be back between the pipes for Sunday's road-trip finale in Vancouver.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen G | BUF
Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Third win in last five starts
Luukkonen made 32 saves in a 4-2 win over the Canadiens on Thursday.
Luukkonen is 3-1-1 in his last five starts and 6-2-1 in nine games since Christmas. He allowed two or fewer goals in five of those nine starts. Luukkonen has an 11-7-2 record with a 2.66 GAA and .905 save percentage in 19 starts this season. He was strong once again Thursday, which is a good sign now that the sizzling Alex Lyon is back in the fold after his injury absence. The Sabres need to keep their proverbial foot to the floor, so they'll likely choose the hottest glove hand on any given day.

Connor Hellebuyck G | WPG
Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Takes shootout loss
Hellebuyck stopped 19 of 20 shots in Thursday's 2-1 shootout loss to the Panthers.
Hellebuyck allowed a goal to Sam Bennett in the second period, and the Panthers also converted both of their shootout attempts. This was a second straight hard-luck loss for Hellebuyck, whose results are slipping as the Jets' offense takes another nosedive. The 32-year-old netminder is now at a 12-13-6 record with a 2.65 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 31 appearances. The Jets host the Red Wings on Saturday before embarking on a four-game road trip that begins in New Jersey on Tuesday.

Daniil Tarasov G | FLA
Panthers' Daniil Tarasov: Earns shootout win
Tarasov stopped 17 of 18 shots in Thursday's 2-1 shootout win over the Jets.
Tarasov earned his third win in a row with this effort, limiting the damage to a Cole Perfetti goal in the third period. The 26-year-old Tarasov has allowed just four goals on 70 shots during his winning streak, though he still isn't seeing a ton of time as backup to Sergei Bobrovsky. For the season, Tarasov is at a 7-6-2 record with a 2.63 GAA and a .906 save percentage over 16 appearances. He shouldn't have to wait long for his next start, as the Panthers close out this road trip with a back-to-back -- they visit the Wild on Saturday and the Blackhawks on Sunday.

Casey DeSmith G | DAL
Stars' Casey DeSmith: Near perfect not enough
DeSmith made 21 saves in a 1-0 loss to Columbus on Thursday.
DeSmith did his part, as he was almost perfect, and the Stars had more scoring chances than the Blue Jackets by a wide margin. Unfortunately, his team faced strong goaltending by Jet Greaves, who delivered a standout performance in the other net. DeSmith has lost two straight games in regulation, but he allowed just three goals total in that span. Overall, he is 10-4-5 with a 2.39 GAA and .913 save percentage in 19 starts this season.

Jet Greaves G | CLB
Blue Jackets' Jet Greaves: First shutout of season
Greaves made 28 saves in a 1-0 win over Dallas on Thursday.
It was Greaves' first shutout of the season and third of his career. The Stars had significantly more scoring chances than the Blue Jackets all night, and Greaves stood tall, including turning aside Mavrik Bourque on a breakaway early in the third. Greaves has won his last three starts after Elvis Merzlikins started three straight contests (2-1-0). Greaves appeared in relief in Merzlikins' last start.

Cam Talbot G | DET
Red Wings' Cam Talbot: Expected to face Minnesota
Talbot is expected to start on the road against Minnesota on Thursday, per Dylan Loucks of The Hockey News.
Talbot last started Jan. 13 when he stopped 38 of 40 shots en route to a 3-0 loss to Boston. He has an 11-7-3 record, 2.95 GAA and .892 save percentage in 22 outings in 2025-26. The Wild have been strong this season with a 28-14-9 record, but they've been a mixed bag recently, going 3-4-1 across their past eight games. Minnesota is tied for 15th in goals per game with 3.16 in 2025-26.

James Reimer G | OTT
Senators' James Reimer: Set to start in Music City
Reimer will tend the twine Thursday in Nashville, according to Julian McKenzie of The Athletic.
Reimer picked up his first win of the season Tuesday in Columbus, turning aside 21 of 22 shots in a 4-1 victory. Nashville has generated 2.82 goals per game in 2025-26, which ranks 24th in the NHL. The Predators have lost back-to-back matchups against the Golden Knights and Sabres following a three-game winning streak.

Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Defending crease in Edmonton
Silovs will be between the road pipes against the Oilers on Thursday, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
Despite posting a .926 save percentage and 1.93 GAA over his last three outings, Silovs is 0-1-2 in that span. The 24-year-old had won four straight matchups prior to his current three-game losing streak, but he had a 3.17 GAA and an .871 save percentage during that aforementioned winning streak, so it's been a puzzling stretch of late for Silovs. The Latvian netminder will face an Edmonton squad that sits fifth in the NHL with 3.35 goals per game this season and will get Leon Draisaitl (personal) back in Thursday's lineup.
