  • Devils' Jacob Markstrom: Bounces back vs. Carolina

Markstrom stopped 20 of 22 shots in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Hurricanes.

Markstrom got back to his winning ways after a disappointing effort in the 4-0 loss to the Lightning on Nov. 16, and he's won in four of his last five outings. During that five-game stretch, the 34-year-old Swedish netminder has gone 4-1-0 with a 2.40 GAA and a .906 save percentage.

  • Hurricanes' Spencer Martin: Concedes four goals Thursday

Martin stopped 17 of 21 shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Devils.

Martin made his third start of the season, and while that's a small sample size to draw conclusions, he's been all over the place. He recorded a 24-save shutout win over the Senators on Nov. 16, but he gave up at least four goals in the other two starts. Through four total appearances, as he also worked in relief against Utah on Nov. 13, he's gone 1-2-0 with a 3.25 GAA and an .868 save percentage.

  • Sharks' Yaroslav Askarov: Solid in 2024-25 debut

Askarov made 29 saves on 31 shots in Thursday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Blues.

Askarov got off to a less-than-ideal start in his debut with the Sharks, allowing a goal just 11 seconds into the contest, but he settled in as the game went along. The 22-year-old currently has a chance to earn a role in the crease while Vitek Vanecek tends to an upper-body injury. Askarov inked a two-year deal with San Jose after being acquired in a trade from Nashville in August. Through four NHL appearances, the 22-year-old is 1-1-1 with a 2.38 GAA and a .921 save percentage.

  • Blues' Jordan Binnington: Earns victory Thursday

Binnington turned aside 22 of 24 shots in Thursday's 3-2 shootout win over the Sharks.

Binnington allowed two goals, one on the power play, to Alexander Wennberg in the win. The Blues were mere seconds away from a 2-1 victory, but San Jose was able to tie the game at 19:51 of the third period. The 31-year-old Binnington moved into a tie for St. Louis' all-time record in wins (151) with Mike Liut. Binnington is sporting a 6-8-1 record, .888 save percentage and 3.10 GAA through 16 appearances.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Facing Penguins

Hellebuyck will patrol the road crease in Pittsburgh on Friday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Hellebuyck is off to a great start, going 13-2-0 with a sparkling 2.20 GAA and a very impressive .923 save percentage. Hellebuyck is the early favorite for the Vezina Trophy as he tries to become the first netminder since Martin Brodeur in 2006-07 and 2007-08, to go back-to-back. He will face the Penguins, who are tallying 2.67 goals per game.

  • Alex Lyon G | DET

Red Wings' Alex Lyon: Hangs on for third win

Lyon made 22 saves in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Islanders.

The Red Wings were unable to solve Ilya Sorokin until the final five minutes of the third period, but Lyon kept them in the game until then and got rewarded with the comeback win. It's the first win for the veteran netminder since Oct. 22 after a lower-body injury cost him time in early November, and on the season Lyon is 3-4-0 over eight appearances with a 2.84 GAA and .908 save percentage.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Win slips away late

Sorokin turned aside 29 shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Red Wings.

The 29-year-old goalie seemed headed for his first shutout of the season as the Islanders clung to a 1-0 lead with five minutes left in the third period. The offense's inability to provide some insurance for Sorokin proved costly, however, as Jonatan Berggren tied it up on an odd-man rush before Lucas Raymond snapped home the winner with only 52 seconds left. Sorokin is 0-2-2 over his last four starts with a 3.22 GAA and .902 save percentage, but he's also received just nine goals of support over that stretch. In fact, he's 4-0-0 this season when the Isles score at least four goals for him, and 0-5-3 when they don't.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Winless streak at three

Ullmark stopped 29 shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights.

Vegas scored a goal in each period, but the Ottawa offense didn't wake up until the third and the team's late rally fell short. Ullmark has lost three straight starts and has gone 2-3-1 so far in November with a shaky 3.31 GAA and .874 save percentage, as the Senators' defensive system has predictably been a lot leakier than what the veteran netminder was used to with the Bruins.

  • Golden Knights' Ilya Samsonov: Nabs fourth win

Samsonov made 38 saves in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Senators.

The 27-year-old netminder took a shutout into the third period, but he was able to weather a furious Ottawa comeback attempt that saw the home squad fire 18 shots at Samsonov in the final frame alone. It's his first win since Oct. 26, having missed the first couple weeks of November due to an undisclosed injury, and on the season Samsonov is 4-2-1 in seven starts with a 2.99 GAA and .906 save percentage. He's been in the crease for two of Vegas' last three games, and now that Samsonov is healthy again, the team could be shifting to more of a timeshare between him and Adin Hill.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Yields five goals in loss

Skinner gave up five goals on 26 shots in Thursday's 5-3 loss to the Wild.

While this was just his second regulation loss in November, this was Skinner's worst outing of the month. The 26-year-old has not put together consistent performances and has yet to win more than two games in a row this season. He's now at a 6-6-2 record with a 3.33 GAA and an .876 save percentage over 14 appearances. Skinner's shaky play in goal could lead to more opportunities for Calvin Pickard moving forward, though he has been just slightly better in his eight games (2.44 GAA, .893 save percentage).
