  • Islanders' David Rittich: No help from his teammates

Rittich made 16 saves Saturday in a 5-0 loss to the Sabres. He allowed four goals.

Rittich kept the game close through two periods -- the score was just 2-0 heading into the third period, but he was hung out to dry by his teammates on the second goal at 19:47 of the middle frame. Rittich is back to his role as backup to Ilya Sorokin, which means he's playing every third or fourth game. He's lost his past three games, and he's allowed four goals in each of his last two games.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Expected to start Saturday

Kuemper is expected to start on the road against St. Louis on Saturday, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

He's 12-9-9 with a 2.52 GAA and a .904 save percentage in 32 outings this campaign. The Blues have lost their past three games, getting outscored 11-3, which could make this a decent opportunity for Kuemper to return to the win column.

  • Alex Lyon G | BUF

    Sabres' Alex Lyon: Blanks Islanders

Lyon made 26 saves in a 5-0 win over the Islanders on Saturday.

Lyon is on a roll, winning his last nine games. He had to be sharp Saturday, especially in the first two frames, when his teammates made more than a few bad decisions that led to chances. He made 13 saves in the first period alone, and he stood tall on a breakaway and made monster saves on a power play in the second. Lyon is 12-6-3 with a 2.70 GAA and a .911 save percentage in 23 appearances this season.

The 32-year-old faces a Jets team that has scored just seven goals over the last four games, going 1-2-1 in that span.

  • Lightning's Jonas Johansson: Guarding road goal

Johansson is set to start on the road against Columbus on Saturday, per Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers.

Johansson will be making his first start since Jan. 12. He will get the second half of Tampa Bay's back-to-back, but has played sparingly behind Andrei Vasilevskiy. • Mads Sogaard G | OTT

Senators' Mads Sogaard: Brought up from minors

Sogaard was recalled from AHL Belleville on Saturday.

According to Bruce Garrioch of Postmedia, Sogaard's return to the NHL roster will provide Ottawa with some weather insurance between the pipes, with the team set to host Carolina on Saturday and Vegas on Sunday. In his lone NHL appearance this season, Sogaard allowed five goals on 16 shots in an 8-2 loss to Colorado on Jan. 8.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Slated to face Ottawa

Bussi is expected to start on the road against Ottawa on Saturday.

Bobrovsky will defend the road goal in Minnesota on Saturday, Rob Darragh of the Panthers' official site reports.

Bobrovsky has struggled in the month of January, posting a 2-5-0 record with a 4.22 GAA and an .824 save percentage. Overall, the 37-year-old is 19-14-1 with three shutouts, a 3.09 GAA and an .875 save percentage.
