Arturs Silovs G | PIT
Penguins' Arturs Silovs: Defending crease in Edmonton
Silovs will be between the road pipes against the Oilers on Thursday, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
Despite posting a .926 save percentage and 1.93 GAA over his last three outings, Silovs is 0-1-2 in that span. The 24-year-old had won four straight matchups prior to his current three-game losing streak, but he had a 3.17 GAA and an .871 save percentage during that aforementioned winning streak, so it's been a puzzling stretch of late for Silovs. The Latvian netminder will face an Edmonton squad that sits fifth in the NHL with 3.35 goals per game this season and will get Leon Draisaitl (personal) back in Thursday's lineup.

Darcy Kuemper G | LA
Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Avoids serious injury
Kuemper (upper body) will be an option against the Blues on Saturday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.
According to Dooley, Kuemper lost feeling in his arm following a collision in Tuesday's matchup with the Rangers, but he is good to go now. This will not only be welcome news for the Kings but also for Team Canada, which won't have to worry about replacing the backstop on the Olympic roster. In his last six outings, Kuemper has failed to record a win, going 0-2-3 with a 3.53 GAA, though a clash with the lowly Blues could get him back on track.

Although Adin Hill will likely serve as the Golden Knights' primary netminder now that he's healthy, Schmid should be able to earn some playing time if he can continue to perform at a high level. Schmid will have a tough matchup Thursday, as the Bruins rank ninth in the NHL with 3.28 goals per game.
