Kraken's Joey Daccord: Gets shootout win

Daccord stopped 20 of 23 shots in Friday's 4-3 shootout win over the Canucks.

Daccord picked up his third win in his last four outings, though he wasn't able to make a 3-1 lead stick in regulation. The 29-year-old allowed two goals on Vancouver power plays, so the game getting to a shootout wasn't all his fault. He turned aside all three Canucks attempts in the shootout to improve to 11-9-5 with a 2.77 GAA and a .902 save percentage through 25 starts this season. The Kraken have another back-to-back set up next, visiting the Flames on Monday before hosting the Bruins on Tuesday. If Seattle follows its pattern from the previous three back-to-back sets, the Massachusetts native would get the Bruins for his next matchup.

  • Lukas Dostal G | ANA

Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Still stuck in skid

Dostal allowed five goals on 34 shots in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.

Dostal has gone 0-3-1 over his last five outings, and he's allowed at least four goals in four straight contests. The 25-year-old is now at a 13-10-2 record with a 3.22 GAA and an .887 save percentage across 26 appearances. Dostal's hot start to the year had him looking like a league-winner in fantasy, but managers may want to bench him until he can get back on track between the pipes. The Ducks have a road back-to-back up next to start a road trip in the east, beginning with Monday's game versus the Capitals and Tuesday's matchup against the Flyers. Expect Dostal and Petr Mrazek to split those starts.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Earns win over Ducks

Gustavsson stopped 26 of 28 shots in Friday's 5-2 win over the Ducks.

Gustavsson has won consecutive outings and seven of his last eight games. He's allowed two or fewer goals in all seven of the victories in that span. The 27-year-old improved to 14-8-4 on the year with a 2.45 GAA and a .912 save percentage over 26 appearances. The Wild finish this back-to-back set with Saturday's game versus the Kings, which is likely to be a start for Jesper Wallstedt.

  • Joey Daccord G | SEA

Kraken's Joey Daccord: Starting in Vancouver

Daccord will guard the road goal versus the Canucks on Friday, Jeff Paterson of CanucksArmy.com reports.

Daccord will start the second half of a back-to-back after Philipp Grubauer earned a 4-1 win over the Predators on Thursday. The two goalies have alternated starts lately, but that's because the Kraken are in the third of four consecutive back-to-back sets. Daccord had a poor December, going 3-4-1 with a 2.96 GAA and a .904 save percentage over eight contests, though he's won two of his last three outings.

  • Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Starting Winter Classic in Miami

Shesterkin will guard the road goal in Friday's Winter Classic versus the Panthers, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.

Shesterkin went 6-3-2 over 11 games in December, adding a 2.58 GAA and a .907 save percentage. He lost his last two outings of the month, but he allowed just four goals on 60 shots in those contests. The Panthers turned things around in December, going 9-4-2 with 3.33 goals per game during the month, and they could be a handful on the big stage of an outdoor game.

  • Islanders' Marcus Hogberg: Sent down Friday

Hogberg was reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on Friday, Stefen Rosner of NHL.com reports.

Ilya Sorokin (lower body) was activated from injured reserve in a corresponding move. Hogberg allowed two goals on seven shots in a relief appearance versus the Mammoth on Thursday, which was his lone outing during this stint with the big club. Hogberg is the next man up should another injury sideline Sorokin or David Rittich later in the season.

  • Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Set to start Winter Classic

Bobrovsky will get the starting nod at home in Friday's Winter Classic versus the Rangers, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Unsurprisingly, the Panthers will go with their No. 1 netminder in the marquee event of the regular season. Bobrovsky went 7-2-1 with a 2.67 GAA and an .897 save percentage over 10 outings in December. This will be his first outdoor game since the 2012 Winter Classic, when he was a member of the Flyers.

  • Trent Miner G | COL

Avalanche's Trent Miner: Called up Friday

Miner was recalled from AHL Colorado on Friday.

Mackenzie Blackwood (lower body) landed on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury in a corresponding move. Miner has gone 0-0-2 with four goals allowed on 44 shots over two NHL appearances this season. With the Eagles, he has a 7-2-0 record, a 2.40 GAA and a .907 save percentage across 10 appearances. Miner will likely handle a backup role while with the Avalanche, as Scott Wedgewood can be penciled in for the starting job in Blackwood's absence.

  • Avalanche's Mackenzie Blackwood: Suffers lower-body injury

Blackwood was placed on injured reserve Friday because of a lower-body injury, per Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now.

Blackwood will miss Colorado's three-game road trip, which features matches against Carolina, Florida and Tampa Bay on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday, respectively. He'll be re-evaluated after the trip. Blackwood has a 13-1-1 record, 2.07 GAA and .924 save percentage in 15 appearances this season. Scott Wedgewood should be expected to start in at least two of Colorado's next three games due to Blackwood's absence, and it's possible Wedgewood will be utilitized in both halves of the Avalanche's back-to-back set over the weekend. Trent Miner was recalled from AHL Colorado on Friday because of Blackwood's injury.

  • Wild's Filip Gustavsson: Set to face Anaheim

Gustavsson is expected to start on the road against Anaheim on Friday, per Derek Lee of The Hockey News.

Gustavsson has a 13-8-4 record, 2.47 GAA and .912 save percentage in 25 outings with Minnesota in 2025-26. He's been dominant recently, posting a 6-0-1 record, 1.71 GAA and .931 save percentage across his past seven appearances. Anaheim ranks seventh in goals per game with 3.33.
